Yet any of the changes and challenges she did face were the same as the others she knew and a part of her remained reassured by the very concept that she confronted nothing alone. Although he was hesitant about it, he permitted Trisselle the opportunity to mingle with outside races and respects her need to be an individual as well as her pursuit of knowledge. It is with thanks to his entrepreneur background and charisma that Trisselle can live as comfortably as she does. The lack of luxuries in his personal life has allowed him to grant her a good tutelage and her entry into the priesthood. He is protective, but not over protective, and maintains a mostly understanding viewpoint of Trisselle's various plights—when she keeps him informed.

He's oft independent, an ideal that she can admire and respect him for, but she wishes that he'd be more accepting of when she wants to help him out. Sometimes Aerius can be a little abrasive and it <i>does</i> occasionally result in hurt feelings, but she feels he actually means for the best and just so happens to be good at delivering 'tough' love. It's a little odd, but she's almost convinced she has the smallest infatuation for him. Only recently did she admit that she views him as a friend and that she cares for him a great deal.

She is privy to a good number of Augustine's secrets and they have formed a kind of trust between them that both know is unbreakable, something Trisselle never anticipated. Along with it, she has grown rather fond of the man, though saying so is a difficult feat.
