Personality:
Never one to pass up an opportunity, Autolycus has an ear for rumors and will usually blindly follow them. This normally leads to peril for anyone that happened to find themselves entangled with him at the time. More than just landing the big score, his motivation is to be the one who did the landing and because of this he can come off cocky or arrogant, though never intentional.

Background
Pre-Calamity:
Valena was born in Ala Mhigo to a coastal village in 1545. Her brother, Octavian, was born in 1550. When the Garleans attacked in 1557, Valena's father died to give his family time to escape to the water. They were saved by a Roegadyn named Moernmoen. He was the Chief Mate on the Styrjaega, a freelance ship from Limsa Lominsa, hired to scout the area. Moernmoen brought them to Limsa Lominsa. He continued to stay in touch with Valena's family and acted as a mentor to Valena.
A year later her mother met Victor Everardi, and soon remarried. Valena's Half-Sister, Camille Everardi, was born in 1560.
From an early age Valena took a strong interest in combat and battle tactics. She would rather swing a sword or practice symbols than play with her baby sister. She often begged grounded Malestrom crew to teach her. While they would entertain her requests with basic techniques, it wasn't until her 18th birthday that her mother allowed to study Arcanum and combat strategy. She trained religiously in her free time for her goal, to join the Crimson Fleet of Malestrom. Three years later, Valena left Lominsa and joined the Black Sails. Her brother joined her a few years later.
Valena volunteered for an infantry position for the Battle of Carteneau Fields. She knew the Eorzean Alliance was outnumbered, but she couldn't let her brother face it alone.
Post-Calamity:
During the Battle of Carteneau Fields Valena was mortally wounded. Having already witnessed her brother's last breathe and believing herself to be dead either way, she pushed herself to fight until she could no longer raise her weapon. This plan was ruined when Dalamud exploded.
When Valena regained her senses, she found herself in her hysteric sister's arms and dying from her wounds. She was saved, but not without loosing the use of her left leg and much of her strength. Ashamed by her new weakness and mourning the death of her brother, she left Camille's care as soon as she was able.
Relationships
Friends:
- R'kyala Mahji - Valena knows her as Camille's close friend. Valena, surprisingly, enjoys her company and treats her as another sister to be protected.
Family:
- Camille Everardi - Valena's younger Half-Sister. Valena is over protective of her sister since her return from Carteneau, although they have never been close. Recently, Valena is making an effort to connect with her sister but to little effect, be it her methods or too little, too late.
- Charlotte Everardi - Mother. Seemingly knows exactly what buttons to push to work Valena into a fit. However, Valena does care for her deeply and occasionally visits.
- Octavian Verloren - Brother, deceased. Valena refuses to talk about him and any mention of him will result in her becoming distant.
- ??? Verloren - Father, deceased.
- Victor Everardi - Stepfather.

- Domri Blackblade - Another acquaintance through her sister. His looks are uncanny to that of an older Octavian. She has a hard time making eye contact with him. While she doesn't dislike Domri, she disapproves of Camille treating him like their deceased brother.

- Autolycus Furare - Married? It is unclear but there is documentation of a wedding between the two performed by moogles. Valena absolutely refuses to comment but can be heard occasionally cursing moogles and has been seen wearing a ring.
Miscellaneous
Affiliations:
- Order of the Stormguard - Valena is a member of the Fidelis within the Order. She offers her expertise and research abilities on relics to the Order. She originally joined under the motivation of being closer to her sister but she has also grown fond of their library.
- The Maelstrom - Currently a Second Storm Lieutenant. Valena is an active and dedicated member to The Maelstrom. It is her main source of income, but more than that it is her duty.
