Chaotic Good General Information Aurora is a generally fun loving young woman who is presently seeking out new companions for a new venture that she has recently been set upon. When she was born she had two green eyes but after a recent incident her left eye changed to blue. Physique & Markings She is built with a fairly muscular body that she doesn't typically show off. She also has multiple tattoos throughout her body from the previous "family" she had. She primarily has purple roses tattooed to her upper arms and a lace face mask tattooed on her back. Hygiene & Attire Generally she keeps herself well kept and clean, however she tends to wear plain or baggy clothing in order to blend in with crowds better. Personality Psychological Profile Aurora tends to be fairly aloof at times with the intent of keeping those around her off their guard. She is actually particularly smart but very wary of other people due to her past experiences with outsiders. She trusts only herself and is extremely hard to get to open up despite frequently telling the truth almost all the time. She however spins the truth in a way that most people suspect is a joke or a lie. Voice Aurora speaks in a smokey voice that is honeyed with pleasant tones. She uses this to her advantage when trying to take someone off their guard. Philosophy & Mannerisms Aurora believes in one thing only. Family. She is a fierce mother bear and will defend anyone she deems her family relentlessly. She can often get herself in trouble this way however as a result of her brash decision making when confronted. When she needs to get something from someone she will try to use her appearance, allure, and if needed sexuality in an attempt to keep her target disarmed and under her control. However when she's in new crowds for the first time she will generally act aloof or distant in an attempt for the group to pay her no mind until she's ready to strike. She rarely comes in contact with people with the intent of befriending them. Combat Abilities ● Combat Reverberations: If she makes contact with another individual she is able to experience an echo episode and retain the target's combat skill temporarily. While she can obtain the knowledge of their battle skills she does not acquire any of their physical attributes. OOC Note Aurora's primary combat episodes revolve around PVE related situations, however in the rare instances that she is attacking another player character let me know how you want to do it. I would prefer to focus purely on weaving stories and progressing plots than worrying about the arbitrary randomness of harming a fellow player's character.

History Disclaimer: All of this information is currently unknown to other PCs as she does not disclose much of her past. If you were told anything within this section however, go nuts and have fun. Sixth Astral Era Childhood Aurora was born to an unknown Viera who had gone into labor during an assault by the Garleans which resulted from people in Dalmasca attempting to flee their oppression. As the invading force entered the forest at some point the baby Aurora was lost and was only recovered by a young unknown Garlean conscript who took pity upon the child. This man and his wife decided to raise the child as if it was their own until she grew up and set out on her own. She grew up in the Dalmascan region and was generally a quiet and kind, young girl. She helped her mother around the house and ran errands for her as any good child would be expected. She went to school which was primarily run with Garlean doctrine included as she lived in an occupied area. She did not generally feel strongly for or against the Garleans, as to her the only thing she'd known was peace under the occupation. She was aware that many of the other kid's parents were unhappy but to her she was happy as long as the sun came out each day and the flowers grew each spring. Despite her obviously being a different race from her parents, that didn't seem to create any sort of strife, the only thing that mattered in this time was that they loved each other. Her mother did her best to shield Aurora from the negative aspects of the occupation by frequently encouraging Aurora to read books and to escape into her imagination. Shortly after turning 7 years old her new father left for a battle against the Domans but did not return. Her mother later received the news via a letter which confirmed what they suspected. Her father had died in battle. She never saw her mother cry, despite it hurting her greatly. The last thing her mother told her on that day was, "Never let them see you cry and they will never know what hit them." This impacted Aurora greatly and was the first time she started to feel the effects of the war against Garlemald. That night Aurora's mother went out to meet with some of the other families and their small town rebellion began. Seventh Umbral Era Adulthood On the day Aurora turned eighteen years old her fellow co-workers threw her a little party in the back room. They didn't have much but the cook made a small cupcake for her and several of the dancers took old scraps to make Aurora a new dress. This was the happiest Aurora has been in over a decade. She now lived on a pleasure barge that primarily focused on serving Garlean held territories. On the one hand it wasn't the most pleasant work for some, but on the other it kept the soldiers and commoners alike from fighting as often since it seemed everyone could always come together over a stiff drink and a pretty dancer. The captain of the ship owed a great deal to Aurora's deceased father and as such he did not force her to perform with the other women and girls aboard, but that didn't mean she was off the hook for everything. Aurora had spent the better part of the last 3 years as a maid, cleaning up the rooms after they've been used or even just getting "supplies" for the workers while they did their jobs. When she wasn't working she would often watch the dancers on the stage and thought that one day she would become a dancer like them and make a name for herself. In Recent Times Moving Forward Several years have passed aboard the barge. Aurora had been promoted to a new position of barmaid serving drinks and on rare occasions even limited bartending. She greatly enjoyed her new job. She got to meet many of the soldiers and spent more time with the women while they were dancing in awe of their fluid movements. A new man in a brown coat showed up at to the barge with a small crew of what appeared to be soldiers. They had uniforms but they looked nothing like either army that she usually noticed. that ended in an argument with the captain. This was hardly an uncommon occurrence as many of the lechers seem to think that payment means they own the place, but this argument was different. The captain seemed worried. He pulled the man out of the view of the other guests into the cockpit. After a short while there was a sound of an explosion. It rattled Aurora's head. Aurora was shocked alert as she looked out the window. The land was approaching fast. The ship was falling. She turned back to see the man attempting to rush people to his ship for an escape but the barge was rocked with another large explosion. Aurora thought to join them but something urged her otherwise. Instead she ran into the back room where they kept much of the equipment from the soldiers who were on board. She was about grab her things when the cabinets toppled on top of her. She lost consciousness and within moments the ship collided with the ground in a cacophony of destruction. An undeterminable amount of time later Aurora awoke. She could not see. She was feeling around and realized she was still trapped under the armor and cabinets but... she didn't feel harmed. She yelled for help but no one was nearby to answer. After several hours of pushing and heaving she was finally able to break free. Her vision was slowly returning in her left eye, but less so in her right eye. She finally noticed it was now night time. She reached up and felt blood coming from her right eye. She cursed. She was confused most of all but in the back of her mind... That man, was he the one who did this... She looked around and saw nothing but debris and death. Her friends, her coworkers, her new work family, all gone. Nothing moved save for some fires that were starting to go out due to lack of sufficient fuel. How long had she been out? There was one area that seemed relatively unharmed.. She worked her way over, stumbling from the pounding of her head and the weakness in her body. She found a small airship on the outskirts. Who brought an airship? The ship seemed like it came after with the condition it was in. She touched the chassis and her head was stabbed with information. She saw the man from before. She could almost hear a name, "Colt." She heard a wolf howl in the distance and knew that she wouldn't survive all alone outside. In her desperation she climbed inside the ship and closed the cockpit to protect herself from the elements and wild animals. As she curled up inside the strange ship she sat alone with the reality of what just happened... and she wept. Days passed and she stayed as long as she could surviving on any of the supplies she could scavenge while trying to see if anyone else had survived. She found many of her friends' corpses, but one she didn't find stood out to her... Colt. She cursed again as a fire raged within herself. She realized now no one would come to save her and there was frankly, no one left to save. She would find that man and make him tell her exactly what happened that day...

Due to the nature of Aurora's birth little to nothing is known about her birth parents. She can only hope that if she wins the lottery one day they will show up with the milk and cigarettes they left to buy so many years ago. Marco Polo, Adoptive Father. ( ✝ ) - The Kindest "Garlean" Aurora's Thoughts: "He was the best father I could ask for. Despite everything he had fought he always put our family first." Marco Polo was a Terncliff conscript in the Garlean army. One day he came across a small baby in a forest that he was sent to clear out. Despite the order to entirely clear out the forest he brought it back home to his girlfriend and future wife Wendy Thomas to raise as their own. He was later killed in action during an attack in Doma. Wendy Thomas, Adoptive Mother. ( ✝ ) - Protector, disciplinarian, and friend Aurora's Thoughts: "My mother was always one of the kindest, bravest people I ever met. She would protect the whole village as if they were her own children." Wendy was never able to bear her own children, though the reason is unclear. She was also originally from Terncliff, however during the occupation she and her childhood lover Dave were moved around to various locations to maintain the empire's grip on their territory. She took on raising Aurora after Marco brought her back from an offensive. She was a strong and loving mother who was later killed during a rebellion that she led against their Garlean "handlers" as revenge for the death of her husband in combat. Acquaintances Anavi Blackheart, Kind Stranger. ( ✔ ) - The Knight Aurora's Thoughts: "Anavi confuses me a bit. She's nice... almost too nice at times. But I can't think of any reason why I shouldn't trust her." Anavi first met Aurora in random passing when Aurora first entered Eorzea. She helped comfort her as Aurora was in a fairly dark time of her life. As time passed Anavi would go ahead to further assist Aurora in her journey to find Colt. She has been a protector of her and may potentially be someone Aurora keeps around. Kianna Vantes, Temporary Accomplice. ( ● ) - The Patsy Aurora's Thoughts: "Kianna is a nice enough woman I guess. A little disturbed if you ask me though. She is a means to an end. As long as she keeps serving my purposes I suppose I can keep her around." Kianna is an individual that happened across Aurora conveniently as she was a former acquaintance of Robert Colt. Aurora plans to use this relationship in order to find him but has little interest at this time of continuing it beyond that. She convinced Kianna that she will help her find some Lady Blackheart but has little to no interest in upholding her side of the bargain. Aurora is aware that in the past Colt and Kianna were good friends and as such she doesn't feel like she can trust Kianna to help her in her goal. As a result of this she plans to keep Kianna only as close as needed so that Ki can't interfere. W'revald Tia, Temporary Accomplice. ( ● ) - The Hunter Aurora's Thoughts: "Revy is a funny kind of guy. He tries to keep a straight face but one day I will break that smile out. He's useful enough to open containers if you know what I mean." W'revald was first encountered by Aurora as an employed bounty hunter/bodyguard. She likes poking fun at him by being extra flirty whenever possible. She however doesn't know entirely if she can trust him as at the end of the day he is primarily employed by Kianna. From what little information she can figure out Kianna is using him as a way to keep track of her. Possibly at Colt's behest to keep her from finding him. Mimiko Miyuki, Potential Friend. ( ✔ ) - Mimi the Mesmer Aurora's Thoughts: *laughs* "Mimi is a crazy chick. She loves to party and dayum... I'm not usually into women but that booty might just change that." Aurora came across Mimi at a bar one day while hunting for Colt. She feels like they hit it off great and feels like she'd like to spend more time with her. Unfortunately for the time being Aurora has other things on her mind that makes time for possible friends a low priority. Former Acquaintances Robert Colt, Unlikely Mentor. ( ● ) - The Soldier Reinstated Aurora's Thoughts: "I thought he was the one responsible for the killing of all my friends at work. Now that I've seen the truth I don't know if he'll ever forgive my accusations." Aurora is convinced that Robert was responsible for the deaths of everyone aboard the barge she worked on. She swore revenge upon him after she survived the massive airship's crash. She came across his journals and personal effects. Ever since then she has been tracking him with the intent to find the truth and exact revenge. She read about his daughter in his journal and prior to embarking on her quest she took on her name in an attempt to always carry her hatred for him until the day he paid for what he'd done. Unfortunately, what she learned when she found him was nothing she could have prepared herself for... Deceased Ruby Tuesday, Best Friend. ( ✝ ) - The Dazzling Dancer Aurora's Thoughts: "I love watching her dance when she's on the stage. Whenever she's dancing I feel like everyone's fears and troubles just slip away. I wish I could dance like her." Ruby was not her birth name. She adopted the stage name at the time that she started working for Captain Horton on the barge. She was an amazing dancer that quickly rose to be the star of the entire barge. All the top clients and generals in both armies would come far and wide just to come see her dance. She always wore a smile and was Aurora's best friend when Aurora joined the crew. Despite the fact that other dancers were jealous of her at times she still treated everyone with respect and tried to be friends with everyone she met. When Colt first came aboard she was called into a private audience with the two men. Perhaps her dancing was somewhat more than just for show. Unbeknownst to Aurora she was the captain's guard and was a trained battle dancer. Tim Horton, Former Boss. ( ✝ ) - "The Captain" Aurora's Thoughts: "He's generally nice enough to me. He sure does work all of us pretty hard but the hours are fair and I love the stories he tells me about my dad." He was a soldier that was conscripted by the Garleans alongside Aurora's adoptive father. They fought in several battles together and eventually after a pretty rough fight against the domans he managed to bribe his commanding officer to declare him dead in that same battle that killed Aurora's father. He took on a different name and got a job working with a group of wandering entertainers. Years later he would become the captain of the barge and it would somewhat change from plays to burlesque shows and more. He eventually learned of Aurora's parents' passing. Before each fight he and Marco promised to look over each other's family. He did not take that promise lightly and as such later took Aurora on as an employee.
