When she is off on a expedition (dungeons/raids) she is all business. She is still as kind as she can be but she doesn't find it as a time to make friends. She is less nervous in this setting then she is dealing with people in a more personal setting.
While she is not deeply religious, she does still pray to the Twelve from time to time. An she does not believe in fate or destiny. Each person shapes their own fate in her opinion by the choices they make.
She is usually dressed very well, often putting together her own outfits. She tends to go for pretty clothes or functional depending on what her plans are for the day. Her favorite colors for clothes are often shades of blue or light purples. Depending on the clothes of course. Sometimes she will wear whites or grays. She almost always has some kind of jewelry on. If she is going out an it is not an adventure, she will sometimes do her nails to match her clothes.

Destiney's mother was from Ishgard while her father was native to Gridania. Her mother once belonged to the Aurifore house in Ishgard before leaving to begin her own life. Elle's parents pretty much disowned her upon learning she desired to become an adventurer instead of marrying into a higher class family. Elle found her way to Ishgard over her time as an adventurer, where she had a run in with Dest's father. Over the time of a few months her parents fell in love an soon had an Eternal Bonding ceremony. Instead of returning to Ishgard, her mother settled down to have a family in Gridania with him. Destiney an her brother were born to them, fraternal twins. Destiney resembled her mother while he resembled their father.
Most of Destiney's early life was normal an average. She found she had a love of both flowers and bows. While her brother had a love of the dark arts an potions. Despite their differing hobbies of choice, the two siblings were close. Her mother was a botanist now instead of an adventurer as they grew up but her father remained a member of the Gods' Quiver. Destiney learned how to use a bow from her father, wanting to eventually follow in his footsteps instead of her mother's. At this time she didn't know her mother had once been an adventurer as her mother didn't really talk about it much besides some of the more scenic places she had once visited. During the years right before the calamity, Destiney met Dekkarra through a mutual friend. The two of them began a relationship.
It was around the time of the Calamity that Destiney was sent away, interrupting her training to join the Gods' Quiver. Her brother had disappeared off to Ul'dah to become a Thaumaturge without permission, leaving her to face Ishgard alone. Her mother an father agreed it was safer to send her into the dangers of Ishgard rather then allow her to remain in Gridania as Dalamund began its fall. It was no guarantee she would be any safer there then in Gridania. Her mother took up her old staff from her adventuring days an joined her husband in the fight at Certeneau Flatts. At least with Destiney away in Ishgard they could both fight without worrying if their daughter might try to join this fight. However Dest's father was killed during the conflict, leaving her mother alone in Gridania after the fighting was over.
Destiney spent the next five years living in Ishgard with the constant threat of dragons an heretics. She had even missed her father's funeral due to the fact it was unsafe for her to even try to make the trip back to Gridania. An she had no idea what happened to her brother during that time. Her aunt however always tried to keep her distracted with books an other learning activities. Her Aunt Katy was doting yet kind to her niece, understanding how hard it was for the girl to suddenly be thrust into an entirely different place like this. Her uncle was someone Dest was glad to barely see. The fighting against heretics, dragons, or other monsters often made him come home rather hostile. Through her aunt though, Dest found a love for reading an a desire to adventure to new places. However she managed to keep in touch with Dekkarra over those years through letters an his occasional visits to Ishgard. Their relationship remained strong over those years. He was the one thing that had not changed for her despite everything else.
It was after those five years that she finally set out to be an adventurer. She had returned home to visit her mother first an retrieve her father's old bow an mask. With revenge in mind she set out to find out about the Garleans and Imperials. She only left her mother with a note an her personal bow as she set out without seeing her. She had encountered Dekkarra while in Gridania but did not mention her plans to him either, knowing full well it was more then likely a suicide mission.
It was her Uncle and his two companions that saved her from her own foolishness. After the incident outside of Castrum Occidens she finds herself in their company for a time. It was Leon that slowly helped her with dealing with the nightmares the incident had left behind. Eventually Leon passed away from an illness he had long suffered from, breaking apart their small group. Moon Dove went first on her own separate way. Ricard though decided he wanted to train Destiney to be a healer. He thought it would be helpful for her as well as he wanted to pass on what he knew an had no children of his own.
It was during her early days as an fledgling adventurer after parting company with her Uncle that she met an befriended Chee and Arthur. The three of them became an almost inseparable trio. They styled themselves as "The Outsiders" an eventually added a few other friends to their small circle over time.
During the next year Destiney joined the Immortal Flames and helped Dekkarra establish a free company. With the company's help they managed to purchase a house in the Lavender Beds to call home for the company. About a year after she finally agreed to become Bonded to Dekkarra. So now she had her close friends and the man she loved. However she was in no way ready to settle down.
Over the first several years of her adventures, she finds now she often prefers Scholar over Bard, wanting to mend wounds rather then cause them. She will still wield her bow on occasion when the mood strikes her or if she is needed to. She just no longer desires the same path as she once did growing up, wanting to follow now in her mother's old lifestyle rather then her father's. On occasion though her nightmares still plague her though far less often then they used to.
Present Day:
Destiney still adventures an makes a fairly good living doing so. She often comments on expeditions she's recently gone on when sitting around talking to friends at open taverns they decide to visit. Most often it is with Chee and Clark or just Chee.
During one of her visits to the bar down by the airship in Ul'dah, Destiney met Arthyr Caden. They became very close in the short time she was able to spend with the Miqo'te. They went out to a few different places an she had even offered to help him improve on his reading skills. However Caden had disappeared from her for a time due to a danger in his life, not wanting to get Destiney involved. She was able to briefly meet him once more an final time before his demise. She was heartbroken to learn of his death when Elpeaux Reaufond sought her out in their usual meeting spot at that bar. She was upset that he hadn't allowed her to help him with this problem, instead dying an leaving her behind.
Destiney began to avoid that bar downstairs, a reminder of the friend she had lost. Instead she began seeking out open taverns to attend with friends. Most often she would find one an ask Chee to go with her. One of the taverns she invited Chee to was at the Velvet Rose. It was supposed to be an Open Talent night, so she convinced Chee it might be fun to go watch despite the tavern's known reputation. Here she met an befriended Gatoli Catoli.
A few weeks later, Destiney managed to buy a plot of land in the Goblet. It was only a small plot but it was all she really needed. Chee was thankfully also able to get a plot of land not too far away in the Goblet as well. She dubbed the house, Sanctuary an began to make it into a home despite what little time she would spend there due to the way she lived her life.
A short time after obtaining her house an getting mostly set up, she ran into Gatoli again. However he was now homeless having left the Velvet Rose. Destiney and Gatoli made a bargain an he became a tenant in the Delvanguard household. He now works as the caretaker of the household while she is off doing what she does best. It of course has begun to lead to rumors, hiring the former courtesan to be the caretaker of the house.
Destiney began to attend regular outings with a group of people Chee had introduced her to at the Forgotten Springs. She wanted to make changes to her life, become at least a bit more social. She wanted to make new friends, not that anything was wrong with her current friends. So she is now making it a regular thing to make sure to attend these gatherings in attempt to get over her nervousness when dealing with people in a personal setting as well as make new friends. Everyone she has met so far at these gatherings has left a good impression on her. She especially looked forward to talking with Raiden and Aimee when she went.
It was after a few of these gatherings that Konner came to her an invited her to join the Order. Destiney was initially torn at the idea of leaving the company she had started with her husband. However the company had changed over the years an she only seen people in passing. There was barely any sort of 'family' feeling to the people among the company. She wanted more. So she said her goodbyes to the few members she was friends with an accepted Konner's invitation to become a part of the Order.
