krevh being happy and weird as usual.

Krevh stands at about five foot nine, at a height that's somewhat abnormal for the women of her race. She is also lanky, long-legged, and quite small in the chest in a way that makes her look somewhat androgynous during those rare occasions that she chooses to crossdress as a disguise. However, her abnormal physique hasn't affected her physically. She's still extremely athletic and nimble, and while you might not see her going toe to toe with a Roe, she tends to lean towards finesse, speed, and evasion during combat. Her wiry frame often makes her a target for enemies who think she'd easily be overcome, but spend enough time with her and you'll discover that this isn't the case.

Her long, wavy black hair is somewhat unkempt, reaching to the middle of her back and meticulously dyed with deep purple streaks. It's occasionally seen braided up, but most of the time, you'll see it flowing freely, seemingly not getting in her way until it's time to comb it (let's just say there's cursing. A lot of it.) A traditional Keeper of the Moon teardrop sits just above her eyebrows, surrounded by her own design of six small black dots. She is rather fond of earrings, and can be seen with various different types, though none that are too big or flashy.

A pair of large eyes sit above a straight nose with gently flared nostrils, one green, the other pale gray. Krevh's skin is also a very pale gray, with white markings on the edges of her face. Although there are various small scratches, bruises, and leftover spots from healed wounds in various places on her body, a single scar can be seen cutting through her right eye - a poorly healed souvenir from a fight with her mother. Another slightly smaller scar sits on her left cheek, just above a small black beauty mark. Her lips are somewhat thin, resting under a slightly pointed nose that's just barely a shade darker than the rest of her skin.

Clothing: Literally anything that doesn't have sleeves. Unless it's obviously cold weather, Krevh isn't one to wear anything involving sleeves or anything that covers too much of her body. She doesn't enjoy the feeling of having her body impeded in any way, whether that be hats, scarves, high socks, or too-loose shoes. Despite having a preference for clothing that shows a bit more skin, Krevh doesn't choose her outfits for the purpose of sex appeal, or anything close to it. Accusing her of such a thing is probably one of the quickest ways to find yourself hanging from a lamppost with an apple in your mouth with no recollection of how you got there to begin with.

Ultimately, Krevh is a somewhat unpredictable, slightly crazy merc-for-hire who just happens to specialize in dealing with situations in ways that make it more fun for her. Whether or not it's fun for her victims is up for debate.

She's a fairly pleasant person, always up for a good time no matter what the activity is. Unfortunately, having a "good time" can really mean anything from a night out at the tavern to swiping goods from a nobleman's house, and possibly setting his house on fire afterwards to "make it more exciting". Krevh usually doesn't hesitate to introduce herself and get to know people, sometimes to the point of being a bit nosy. Despite (or quite possibly, as a result of) her violent upbringing, she's normally pretty chummy with most people and tries to make new friends or acquaintances feel welcomed. She's got a soft spot for people she sees that might need a hand finding their place in the world, and in her own weird way, she tries to help. While it might appear that the girl doesn't particularly care who gets caught in the crossfire of her antics, she does make sure those she considers friends are out of it. Most of the time.

Years in the mercenary trade has given her the ability to swap from friendly bantering to cold manipulation at the drop of a hat, a trait she uses whenever and wherever it's necessary. She views murder in a somewhat objective light - if it's in your way, it needs to be moved. Krevh doesn't make light threats, and it's nearly impossible to know whether or not she's going to kill you after getting the information she needs because she doesn't want lips flapping later, or simply leave you lying unconscious facedown in a barrel to make you think before you act. She will often choose the most "fun" or the most outlandish way to solve a problem, valuing stimulation over logic most days. Surprisingly, she does enjoy reading - it's about the only thing she'll sit still for besides eating, and even then, the content has to be engaging. Her room can usually be found littered with novels and bloody histories, sometimes even magic techniques.

Often to the chagrin (and disgust) of others, Krevh has a rather dark and sarcastic sense of humor with little regard for whether or not she might be offending those around her. She simply isn't the type to stay negative forever, and will try to lighten the mood even when it could be considered inappropriate. Getting her angry enough at you to hold a grudge, however, is probably a very big mistake. You may or may not die, but it definitely won't end well for you.

Tropes:

Loveable Rogue Heroic Comedic Sociopath Attention Deficit Oooh Shiny Psychopathic Manchild Cloud Cuckoolander

Motivations: Achieving some sense of control by acquiring and distrubuting information. Causing small amounts of mayhem. Taking what she wants when she wants it. Sometimes helping people, finding most expendable if they're not a colleague or friend.
Disposition: Fun-loving and ever curious. Devil-may-care attitude. Krevh may not have the most stable personality, but she figures if she was dealt a bad hand in life, why not live life as a massive "fuck you" to the dealers?
Outlook: Fairly positive, if a bit careless. Krevh lives for the here and now and at times doesn't consider the impact her decisions might have in the future.

Positive Personality Traits

Determined, competent in her abilities, sympathetic (in her way), perceptive, intelligent, observant, loves animals, quick-witted.

Negative Personality Traits

Manipulative, erratic, inappropriate, impulsive, blunt, tends to leave a bit of collateral damage, can be cruel to those she hates, ruthless, hedonistic, appears to take nothing seriously.

Krevh would assert that she came into the world just as she often appears in life - right the flying fuck out of nowhere.

She'd been born to a small family of poachers based out of Gridania, like many young Miqo children, with a single brother and two...passable parents. M'javh and Krevh spent most of their time together, out of the way of their parents. Money was important, their parents always said. More important than most other things, like tending to their young children. When Krevh and M'javh were old enough, they were to be given to any nearby Keeper tribe to find mates and therefore earn their place in the world. They were taught to fight and to hunt at young ages, but if they did not perform as well as their father believed they should, beatings were handed out. Being a part of the family meant making money for the family - and their father suffered terribly from delusions of grandeur.

But Krevh doesn't count these years as part of her life. Her life began at the age of seven, when a failed hunt caused her already moody father to take out his rage upon his youngest.

She remembers pain - not the usual stinging, bruising blows - but the scrape of wood against her cheek as he slapped her across the face, smacking her head hard against a tree. Being dragged by one leg back to camp, her brother ordered to "watch what happens to useless hunters who couldn't provide for their families", while their mother sat nearby, dead-eyed as always. Cowed, uncaring - not even a true Keeper anymore. She'd beat her own children if her husband promised her extra food.

The blows kept coming, some just hurting, some spurting blood. When his hand grew tired, he found thick branches. M'javh screaming for it to stop.

Before anyone knew what was happening, the camp was surrounded by Wood Wailers. And Krevh had disappeared.

It's anyone guess how a half-dressed, grubby Miqo child ended up on the docks of Limsa, damp and angry with a crude knife strapped around her waist. Her curls were hacked short, her face peppered with bruises and cuts, with some nasty-looking scars and what looked like nearly fresh wounds on other parts of her body. She'd run from anyone who attempted to speak to her, until she found herself at the doorstep of a fairly well-respected smuggler. Kirston was a gruff man, but not heartless, and he was able to coax the child with food and water, bandaging her wounds, never asking about the old bruises and scars scattered over her arms and legs. Weeks before he'd planned to give her up to the Maelstrom in hopes of finding some parents for her, she finally told him her name, among a few other details. It wasn't long before a simple act of kindness became a full guardianship.

She didn't remember her name, though, and never tried beyond attempting a few letters and syllables. "Krevh" ended up as the result, and it's stuck ever since.

Kirston wasted no time in teaching Krevh how to defend herself - how to hurt the ones who hurt you, and how to make them remember. How to sneak, swindle, become a ghost at will. Despite being almost uncharictaristically protective over the girl, Kirston allowed her to spend much of her time in the streets between his visits to Ul'Dah and Limsa, letting her use it as her personal training grounds. By the time she was around fifteen, she'd become a fully-fledged member of his operation, acting as his right hand. Her talents lay in quick dispatching and spying, as smuggling didn't come without its possible breaches of trust. And if there was one thing Kirston taught the girl, it was to never forget where she'd come from and what she'd learned. How things were always going to hurt, if you let them. How pain, if unchecked, could morph into something worse.

It wasn't just Krevh's life the gruff smuggler saved. Three others, two boys and a girl from the slums or abandoned, ended up as part of the ragtag group of young criminals Kirston had unintentionally started. He trained them well, and despite their age, they served him well in the smuggling business and even branched out to other types of covert operations. Perhaps there was a rival group who needed to be taken down a few notches, or someone hadn't followed through on payment. Maybe there was something shifty going on that the rogue's guild hadn't caught. Maybe someone needed to be dispatched, for various reasons. Kirston hadn't yet considered the idea that his unintentional project had become bigger than he'd expected, and that his young charges were perhaps a bit too effective at their jobs. Others were noticing, and those others weren't happy.

Some time after completing a somewhat risky job in Ul'Dah, Kirston bade the group go after a shipment that had been left near the main gates in Ul'Dah. Krevh expressed suspicion, given that it was not like Kirston to send them on a run like this without some sort of prior debriefing, but the man stood firm. They knew enough never to attempt to argue, so off they went to see...whatever it was Kirston wanted them to see. As she'd previously suspected, Krevh found no shipment at the gate, and her comrades did not find anyone lying in wait nearby. With just enough control to keep themselves looking natural in the dead of night, the four of them legged it back to the modest house Kirston called his base of operations.

It was the first time Krevh had truly felt the cold, unforgiving lump of terror force its way into her throat. While the others, in their shock, exclaimed and cried out, the young Miqo girl could only stand and stare.

Kirston's throat lay open to the bone - or would have, if bone could be seen among the blood. His clothes were torn, body stabbed and cut in several places. The attackers had not intended to let him die swiftly.

The murder had not been without rhyme or reason. A rival group, one Kirston had failed to mention, requested Krevh and the other three members of Kirston's small family to appear before them in the woods of Gridania the next day, or meet the same fate. Their skill had not gone unnoticed, just as Kirston had eventually come to fear, and killing him meant that his three charges had nowhere to go but into the arms of the Cutters. Poachers, murderers, kidnappers all.

Krevh didn't intend to go willingly, but...there was that thing about abandoning family.

Kasi Nebuko (  ♥) - The Toughest Cat in the World
Krevh came to respect the woman after spending a significant time in the Coven. Beauty, brains, and a hell of a Zweihander, but with the personality of a hardened general. What's not to like?

Acquaintances and Allies

Larswith Medwyn (  ♥) - Flower Turned Steel
She met the young Hyur as a tiny scrap of a thing, a servant to a criminal operation with no one to speak for her. Despite knowing it was probably a dangerous idea, Krevh provided the girl with her first shiv. She's impressed with how far Lars came in terms of personality, skill, and deadliness - it reminds her of herself, in a way.
