Lyuri grew up in a happy and seemingly carefree environment, simply tagging along with her parents as they traveled the world of Eorzea. Abruptly orphaned at the age of 17, she wandered aimlessly with her best friend for a few weeks until the Calamity struck, at which point she simply dropped off the face of Eorzea until only about a year ago. Resurfacing in each of the three great city-states, Lyuri appeared to be alive and well, even recruiting to a cause.
Lyuri founded the Eclipsis Free Company, which gave her purpose for nearly a year and a half before turmoil and those she cared about disappearing caused her to finally step down. It's not entirely known what happened, apart from that she left behind a sorrowful goodbye and dropped off the face of Eorzea. These days, however, Lyuri can be found in the Free-Wing Society, reunited with some of those she had lost and making new friends all the while.

Appearance
Lyuri stands slightly above the average height for a Midlander female. Her ocean blue hair carries light tones of green and is oft pulled back into a ponytail, while her bangs are pulled to the side and tend to obscure her right eye from view. She's found that this hairstyle generally leads to far less uncomfortable questions about her odd eyes. When she doesn't appear to be staring off into the distance, her expression is most often calm and reserved save for her eyes, which shift to catch every detail they can.
Lyuri often has a difficult time if she attempts to appear intimidating due to her merely average stature. Over the years, though, she's discovered that a smile can have just as much potential as a brandished weapon.

Behavior and Personality
When it comes down to business, Lyuri could best be described as softspoken yet unyielding. She will often try to spin deals and situations in a way that leaves the other participant(s) happy while still getting what she wants. She loves intelligent conversations, but if the topic is something she knows very little about she has a bad habit of simply smiling and nodding. Although, in good company she swiftly reveals a more playful nature involving cracking jokes and witty verbal jabs; when appropriate, of course.
Over time Lyuri has grown to be more outgoing and bold, though at times such boldness acts as a front to hide the paranoia and lack of self-confidence that festers within her mind. Her frustrations are known to slowly build up over time before finally exploding out all at once. When she has a lot on her mind, Lyuri will occasionally revert to her previously shy nature.
Combat
Lyuri has always had an abnormally high amount of latent aether within her body, but the sheer amount makes it rather difficult to control. Early attempts to cast magic oft resulted in wounds, which were not always limited to herself. Due to these traumatic experiences, Lyuri chose to forsake more traditional magic use out of fear of hurting others unintentionally.
In her teenage years, she took up the sword under the tutelage of her father. Since the calamity passed, Lyuri has been known to seek out non-violent solutions to problems, though she understands that the world won't always work in her favor. With Lyuri's somewhat recent surgery, she was left in a greatly weakened state and has not bothered to pick up the sword since. At most these days she carries a pair of daggers concealed on her personage for safety.
Occupation, Skills, and Pastimes
Back when Lyuri led Eclipsis she preferred a more hands-off approach and fulfilled many of the administrative roles that the company required. Ever since leaving Eclipsis, she has been trying to find something to prove herself with and show that she isn't useless.

Family
It is rather rare for Lyuri to bring up her family as their mention alone causes a pained look upon her face. When asked about them by others, she will often act evasive, only truly discussing them with those she's come to trust.
Father: Godfrey Loneslayer (Highlander) - A man known for his calm ferocity. His softspoken words and gentle demeanor conflicted greatly with the ruthlessness he showed in combat. His friends would make jokes about how the only weapon to ever pierce his steel will was the smile of a certain Lyndis Felnica. As they traveled, Lyuri almost never saw her father without his sword and shield. Presumed to have died alongside Lyndis.
Mother: Lyndis Felnica (Midlander) - Her smile more infectious than any plague, Lyndis practically epitomized the phrase "happy-go-lucky". She was ever kind to others, preferring to tend to others' wounds rather than join the fray herself. Lyndis perished about six months before the calamity. Lyuri's fondest memories of her are when she would tell fantastical stories before bedtime.
Best Friend: Jayce Bellveil (Midlander) - A boy of Lyuri's age, Jayce ran away from his home (at least, that was the story he gave). After a year or two of life as a street rat, he met Lyuri and the two became fast friends. Thanks to Lyuri's incessant begging, Godfrey and Lyndis eventually gave in and semi-adopted the boy into their family. In reality, he was just one more person tagging along on all their travels.

| ♥Skratti Bowens : Skratti seemed to appear out of nowhere back during the days of Eclipsis, but it didn't take long for Lyuri to recognize her talent and skill. Originally meeting while in different relationships, the rough times that followed led them to become fast friends, and soon after, lovers. At one point Skratti disappeared for near six months, leaving Lyuri a heartbroken mess, but her recent return has brightened the woman's spirits and rekindled their romance. | ♥Vasque Desmarais : - Lyuri met Vasque back when she was at the head of Eclipsis, but never actually got to know her; something which she regrets to this day. The blonde midlander was the first to reach out to Lyuri after she disappeared, even if it was by pure chance, and offered to listen to her story as well as a place to stay. During these days she began to grow enamored with Vasque, but the intricacies of Vasque's personal life at the time made her pull back. Vasque has been an invaluable friend and caretaker to Lyuri, saving her life on multiple occasions. Nowadays Lyuri treads carefully around Vasque, unsure how to approach the always-busy woman. |
| ♥Ennara Calian : Ennara was there for Lyuri in a time of sorrow, and the woman's tender affection led to a relationship blossoming. Unfortunately, due to certain differences and Lyuri's fears, they split apart on a rather sour note. Enn ended up leaving Eclipsis and the two broke contact for a time, but after Lyuri's return to society she met up with Enn again and the two shared a much needed heart-to-heart. Despite the troubles of Lyuri's health emergency soon after, they've managed to pick up the pieces and move forward. | ♥Chokho Viqqoh : Cho used to be one of the greatest mysteries and frustrations to Lyuri, often growing annoyed at the woman's apparent carefree and flirtatious nature. However, recently she has been able to sit down with the ash Miqo'te and better understand this fascinating woman's perspective. Lyuri looks forward to getting to know Cho more. |
| ♥Aldyet Lannis : - Lyuri originally met Aldyet back in Eclipsis, and there the woman proved her reliability and was appointed captain of the guard. There's still a lot she doesn't know about Aldyet, but the woman's tenacity and resolve can't help but impress Lyuri. The cute smile and laugh doesn't hurt either. | ●Nazeru Auronas : - Though rough around the edges, Lyuri can't help but admire Nazeru. She realizes that if it wasn't for meeting this woman, she would hardly be the person she is today. Quite often Lyuri finds herself reprimanding Naz one minute and laughing with her the next. The two remain good friends to this day, unafraid to give each other crap. |
| ●X'raena Tsunhe: Raena is yet another person Lyuri knew from Eclipsis but never got to know all that well. The woman seems pleasant enough and has been rather suddenly flirtatious of late, though Lyuri isn't necessarily complaining. | ●X'kohu Tia: Lyuri has known Kohu for quite some time, and part of her always felt bad for the Miqo'te's tendency to get made fun of and bullied. He always takes care of the mundane tasks many others can't be bothered with, and while he does have his flaws, he seems to be a genuinely nice guy at heart. |
| ●Ciciru Ciru: Originally this woman managed to piss Lyuri off to no end, but further encounters have thankfully brightened her disposition. It still frustrates her that she cannot seem to read the feisty Ul'dahn woman, but Lyuri at least knows that Cici has good intentions... for the most part. | ●Nesi Greene: Nesi was an officer of Eclipsis and worked closely with Lyuri. Once Lyuri stepped down the two fell out of touch for the most part, though Lyuri occasionally wonders how the midlander is doing these days. |

History
Childhood
Born on the winter solstice around Limsa Lominsa, Lyuri grew up on the road with her parents, Lyndis and Godfrey, traveling all across Eorzea. Throughout all their travels, her parents took care of most everything in life, which allowed Lyuri ample time to simply run around, play, and explore. This would lead to an inherent curiosity, and the girl wanted to know anything and everything whenever she could, much to the occasional chagrin of her parents.
At an early age she showed an extreme aptitude for aether and magic, causing Lyndis to attempt to guide and teach her. Her first task was to simply freeze a shallow puddle, and by the time she was done multiple nearby trees had been uprooted, along with the surrounding area appearing as a frozen wasteland. This would unfortunately be the first of many failed attempts to exercise greater control over her abilities, and in the end she finally gave up entirely after one mishap nearly cost her mother's life.
Adolescence
Once Lyuri had sworn off her magic potential, Godfrey realized that she would need to learn to defend herself somehow. At the age of twelve, he gifted her a smallsword and began to try and teach her how to not kill herself.
