■ Sweet things -- He is fond of all things sweet, both solid food and liquid drinks. If he were not blessed with the knowledge of healthcare, his teeth would already have decayed to a horrible state.
■ Plants, Earth, Nature -- Be it a forest, an Oasis in the desert bustling with plantlife, or simple pots with soil and flowers in his room: Mauh enjoys nature and it's calming effect on him.
■ Old Books -- The older the better. The smell, the feeling of old withered paper and pergament, the knowledge of people long dead. It has something fascinating..
■ Children -- He was a young father and he always had a good connection to children. Even though having lost some of his kids, his fatherly streak remains in him.

■ Vain -- Mauh is vain and easy to please if someone strokes his ego. He likes to dress well and giving him compliments is a safe way to get on his good side. This opens ways to manipulate him, especially by beautiful women for whom he easily falls. In the other way, he is easily offended if people are rude towards him or insult him.
■ Emotional -- His mood can swing from very high to very low, but not suddenly. It's major events that form his mood for days and weeks. Also h is easily offended, easily angered. One just needs to attack him personally.
■ Smartass -- He can sometimes come off as arrogant with all the things he thinks he knows about. Because he reads so much he thinks he knows everything, but he doesn't.

■ Magic -- He was born as a natural talent in the aetherical arts, blessed with a vast reserve of personal Aether. He showed an affinity for the aetherical arts of nature from a young age on, especially for the forces of elemental earth which his aetherical signature is tipped towards, making it easier for him to manipulate this element. He got teached and practised conjury since teenage years, giving him over 15 years of experience in it. After Ishgard opened its gates, he took an interest in the arts of astromancy. He noticed that he could easily transfer his knowledge of handling aether onto the new art, the form and usage was different, but handling aether for magic stayed the same. He trains to deepen his understanding of astromancy and getting better in it, neglecting his old conjury art.
■ Alchemy/Medicinal/Poison Knowledge -- Through the teachings of his grandmother, late clan elder, he learned what there was to learn about herbs, natural remedies and poisons. A skill that he smartly improved upon later once he got access to more knowledge (books) and the resources of Ul'dah (alchemist guild).

■ Spirituality/Religion. He is a devout follower of the twelve and believes that they do actively influence the lives of mortals, if it pleases them. Thus he deems it possible to sway the gods in one's favor through prayer. Mauh: "They can watch us whenever, but they don't always do. The can interact with the world unseen whenever, but they don't always do." He was born in the 11th moon of the cycle, associated with Nophica, thus having gotten her as patron deity, strenghtening his bond with nature and plants. Like Nohpica, who is associated with the element of earth, he has a strong natural affinity for the earth element. After the death of his daughter Qhon he turned away from Nophica, abandoning the aspect of new growing life that was so important to him, turning to Althyk, the god of change (and time and space), who is also associated with the element of earth.
■ Politics. Although only have spent a small part of his life in Ul'dah so far, he was born there and after his return he definitly made it his home. He is an Ul'dahn patriot, even though he keeps out of politics in general. He did not get in much contact with the brass blades or the government and keeps it that way. He supports the royalists because it is "the better thing to do" considering they do more for the common people than the monetarists. On the global scale, he thinks the Eorzean Alliance is a good idea because it's the only way the city states can stand against the garleans. United we stand, divided we fall.
He thinks even more so now that he moved to the Mists, living in limsan jurisdiction.
- ■ Body: Muscular, but not buff. He likes to look good and therefore trains his body regularly. He trains for looks, not fighting capability.
- ■ Skin: A naturally tanned skin as you'd expect it of denizens of the desert. He get's mistaken as a Seeker because of that sometimes. It might very well be that he had seeker ancestors down the familyline.
- ■ Hair: He has brown hair that he wears long and open. He takes great care of it, due to his desire to look good.
- ■ Eyes: He has blue-grey eyes that are behind glasses most of times. He is short sighted and only sees blurry without them, if it's not very close.
- ■ Scars: One scar sits very prominently over his nose and betwen his eyebrows, crossing the middle diagonally. A second, bigger scar sits right in the middle on top of his left shoulder, like from a vertical sword slash. Besides that his skin is scarfree, proof of his relatively safe life so far, either as "housecat" or backrowfighter.

- ■ Tail: He has a long, sleek tail that gets thinner towards the tip. Like the big version of a rat or mouse tail.
- ■ Clothes: He likes fancy clothing of high quality, a need he satisfies with his money and the famous weavers of Ul'dah. He can often be seen in robes or elegant clothing that is golden, black or of similar dark color.
- ■ Jewelry: Vain as he is, he likes shiny jewelry as well, wearing rings, necklaces and sometimes braclets. Just not earrings, as his ears are not pierced.
- ■ Distinguishing Features: His most distinguishing feature is probably the diagonal scar in his face. Besides that his rather sleek tail, somewhat unusual among the many "brush" or "bushy" tails of other miqo'te. Another thing is his walking cat-doll mammet Albus, a former toy of his late daughter. He keeps it as a reminder and it follows him everywhere (except onto missions and into the wilderness).

Albus is a walking Cat-Doll, a mammet made by the Goldsmith Guild. Mauh's daughter Qhon left his Clan a long time ago together with her Mother. As Mauh should find out later, the mother perished in an attack by wild beasts, with Qhon ending up in an Ul'dahn orphanage. After Mauh joined the Kindred, he found out and took Qhon to him, gifting her Albus as a welcome gift. Albus is crafted after one of the dolls the Goldsmith Guild made for orphans after the calamity, imbued with aether from Mauh himself. He is sentient like other mammets, but with the restrictions other artificially and magically created beings have.
After Qhon's death at the hands of Coeurlclaw bandits, Mauh decided to keep Albus around as a memory keepsake after he showed signs of understanding and mutual grief. Now Albus usually always follows Mauh around, except for occasions that lead Mauh into wilderness or on dangerous missions. Albus is smart enough to understand simple orders, concepts and conversations, even going so far as to give Mauh privacy when needed, even without Mauh needing to tell him to. In those cases Albus covers his eyes, runs away and hides, deactivating himself which prompts Mauh to have to search for him later.
Albus has a metallic, squeaky voice as one would expect from a robotic cat, but he stays silent most times. Rarely ever speaking, he prefers to just follow Mauh around and stare at people with his big green eyes.
