Professor Gray stands just under 5'7 fulms, often appearing only marginally taller thanks to his ubiquitous hat, which he is rarely if ever found without. Nearing middle age, Gray's dirty blonde hair is streaked with grey, which he has long since lost the desire or energy to try and keep up with--and his red-green odd eyes are creased with worry lines and crow's feet. Gray is well muscled, though the years have led to him putting on a bit more weight around his mid-section than he'd once been comfortable with. His right arm is toned and strong from turns of work at dig sites or on various jobs; his left has been replaced by a magitek prosthetic, and is generally kept covered under a glove.
Scars & Markings: Rha is peppered in scars, mostly on his back, sides, and thighs with a few on his legs. The exception to this is a long, thin scar between the man's eyes. The worst of them is faded, off-white patches where there was once a burn across the midsection of his back. He has a lot of fun stories, about that one.
Clothing: Rha prefers function over form, and wears loose-fitting, comfortable clothes wherever possible. He's particularly attached to a dusty old red coat and vest, along with his ubiquitous hat. When relaxing at home, he goes full on dad--survival shirt. Cargo pants. Sandals. Shades. I'm sorry.
A difficult, private and unpredictable man, reckless to a fault and always trying to fill a hole, even if it means making more holes to do it. He walks with his eyes on the shadow he casts behind him as he walks onward into the sun, searching for Belah'dia.

Gray's deceased wife, who passed away over 8 turns ago. Gray is still fiercely attached, and carries his ring upon his neck, with hers still tucked away in his room.

G'Rhun Nunh( ♠ )( NPC ) - Title Given By Character Goes Here
Once a friend, now bitter enemy--the two were members of The Bastard's Club, as children. A group they'd made amongst themselves. They had a falling out, resulting in Gray (then Rha) leaving the Shroud for a new life.
The Griffons of Sharlayan took Gray in, despite him being there illegally, and agreed to sponsor the boy in his education at the Studium. He considers them family, to the point of outright rejecting the tribe in which he grew up in. They inspired many of his views on family, and likely promoted his tendency to aggressively rehome anyone who needs it.
Rha's 'biological' children--one who looks suspiciously like Rhivvy, and both whom Gray fiercely protects. The man is excessively private in regards to the girls, who had beginnings that were, at best, dubious.
Svana Hart, K'Velkha Odh, Kouga, and many more have found their way into the man's heart (some more than others). Gray feels a fierce need to provide, and to give others the same help he'd received--and it shows, in how he aggressively adopts, rehomes, and fosters children. Some leave, some never come back, but the man always, always keeps them close to his heart.
Wyra Nimh(?) - Complicated. So fucking complicated.
You would be hard pressed to find someone whom Gray was quite so conflicted over. Repressed and buried romantic inclinations, anger and bitterness over perceived abandonment, trust and loyalty for all she'd done for him, and a deep spite and resentment for her love of the Shroud he so despises--Wyra conjures up feelings which Gray cannot articulate, cannot resolve, and cannot effectively set aside and forget.
They'd been through hells, together--sharing mutual sorrow, lifetime's of regret, and a similar fatigue with the world, the two became natural allies, friends, and more. As Gray progresses, he finds himself strained and worried over Ruran, afraid one day, he'll have one less person that he can call 'Family.' Gray used to think, sometimes, when it was your brother--you looked the other way. He's having a hard time buying, that, lately. A hard time believing it.
Since the moment P'Tajha appeared in Rha's life, he knew she was going to be trouble. Well aware of her reputation and coerced into working with her, he was bitter and angered from the outset. However, recent events came to light--sparing his life, trying to save someone that one of Rha's surrogates is strongly attached to. He finds himself a collaborator with her, though unwillingly--if only he knew just how deep their shared circumstances went!
Gray is genuinely fond of D'arca--the man has been there for him on several dire occasions, and it isn't a lie when Gray says he'd do just about anything for the other--but there's always a line. At current, Gray is watching his friend and colleague. Closely (and like as not, they're doing the same, neither without good reason). It is Gray's sincerest hope nothing will ever come of it. That they'll never have to draw the daggers hidden in their cloaks. But that doesn't mean he doesn't have it well-sharpened, just in case.
