Affiliation Where 'ere the wind blows GENERAL INFORMATION Yuyushuu Yusha, Sellsword, Sultansworn, Ex-brassblade, Smithy. She is a young Lalafell trying to make sense of her place in the world, but content in not being too serious about it if she can help it. Always willing to lend a hand when able, or share a drink with if necessary, she's fairly easy going and welcoming once she gets over the initial meetings with a new person. She might come across as moody at times, but she's generally pretty east to get along with so long as you stay on her good side. APPEARANCE Common Appearance: Even for a Lalafell, Yuyushuu is a few ilms short, but she doesn't let the little things like that get to her. Yuyu has always been in some form of physical work one way or another, from guard duty, smithery, mercenary work, and even a stint on the sultansworn. This means for a Lalafell she's in rather good physical shape, muscular(under some pudge) and quite athletic, something she's very proud of. Beyond that she is mostly average for a Lalafell, wide hips, rather full bust, and muscular(but still stubby) legs. She has long pointed ears that are maybe a hint longer than average, and a sparkling blue left eye, offset a bit by it's white-blue right pair. Her hair is long and almost snow white, generally pulled back into a ponytail of some sort while she is on duty, but while in her down time she often just lets it fall where it lies. Scars & Markings For someone that has been in dangerous line of work for so long, she has managed to go mostly unscathed, but the end of the 6th Umbral era has left it's mark on her. Hit with a crushing blow during the battle of Carteneau she lost her right eye and had a nick taken out of her ear. White magic was able to restore a good portion of her vision, she still struggles with it. Her right eye is an off-white unlike her natural pale blue eye, and she has a scar running from the corner of her eye towards her ear, which still bears a slight V shaped missing bit near the tip. Voice: Yuyushuu is soft spoken, but her voice has confidence and steadiness. Her accent doesn't sound quite native to Ul'dah, rather that of someone who has lived long enough to blend in, but she still speaks with slight quirks that certainly aren't native to Eorzea. Clothing: When heading out into the field Yuyushuu is often clad in heavy plate armor, or at the very least well made chain. There are some occasions in field work she may settle with something a little less protective, but she's uneasy about it. When around town, or on her time off however, she's quite comfortably in airy robes or casual clothing of the current fashion styles for the season. PERSONALITY Strength. Honour. And above all else a life well lived. Yuyushuu is generally friendly, and rather chipper, enjoying herself when she's able to in one way or another. She's easy going and will generally welcome anyone that approaches her, even more so if they bring spirits. That being said she's not one to find comfort in a large group, rather preferring the company of a few individuals, or small gatherings. Yuyu is rarely someone to let her past bother her, even though there are a few sore points, she believes that all choices were made, and dwelling on them will only get in the way of the future. She prefers martial combats to the magical arts, and while her skills in white and restorative magics are quite adept, it's best not to bring up her dabblings into thaumaturgy. The only other thing that could be said about her personality is she has a height complex, she isn't overly fond of her small-for-even-a-lalafell stature and if brought up in the wrong way she'll probably get pretty heated. LIKES Fine Armor. Very little awakens a spark deep within Yuyu than a well crafted suit of armor. She loves the feeling of the embrace of metal a bit far more than a normal person would find not-strange. Fine Blades. Like armor, blades are incredibly important to someone who risks her life for a living, but beyond a simply useful blade, ornate and decorative pieces also catch her eye. Coffee. She loves coffee, enough said, give it to her. Strong Drink. Another liquid she loves, while not one to drink her paycheck away, she enjoys a stiff drink now and then. Fish. Yuyu's favorite food, she likes pretty much anything that comes out of the water. Nature. Yuyu prefers being in nature's embrace rather than the stone walls of a city. She can often be found reading in peace under a tree or near a body of water. DISLIKES Garleans. She'll never forgive their kind for what they've put the world through. Tanning Leather. While an important part of her crafts, she hates it, the smell drives her mental. Large Crowds. She's short and knows it, she often gets gets lost amongst the crowd, and she can't stand the smell.. Thaumaturgy. She's had some bad experiences there. Rolanberries. She just doesn't like them much. STRENGTHS Bloody Strong. For a Lalafell anyway. Yuyu has dedicated much of her life to the martial arts. She's no Roegadyn, but for a Lalafell she's almost freakishly strong. Melee Combat. Along with her strength, she is quite skilled at close combat, especially with Katana and Straight Sword. Plenty of Stamina. She can keep going for ages, and take a beating while doing it. She specialises in taking the hits for her friends so they don't have to, and she's gotten quite good at it. STRENGTH. Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit. WEAKNESSES Poor Vision. She lost the vision in her right eye, and whilte healing magicks were able to restore most of her vision, it's never been quite the same. Her Height. All Lalafell may be short, but even for a Lalafell she's at the lower end of the height range. She pretends it doesn't bother her, but deep down she always believes no one will really take herseriously because of it.. Skeleton in the Closet. She's never forgiven herself for her brother Nenero's death, even if she never speaks of him, it weighs on her conscience. COMBAT & WEAPONRY Yuyushuu has always been a child of the martial arts, and while she has a surprisingly adept knowledge of white magic, she is definitely more at home with a weapon in hand. Yuyushuu is extremely skilled with a Blade, curved or straight, feeling most at home with a Katana in her hands, or a large straight sword. She's never been one to turn down the opportunity to try out a different style of combat, having become a efficient fighter with many different sorts of weapon over her years, though none quite as good as her original choices. Katana The one weapon Yuyushuu has always been most at ease with, almost as if she had held one since a previous life time. She had always been hesitant about using one in her time living in Ul'dah, but in recent times, she has been less hesitant, and chooses to carry it proudly, when given the choice. Straight Sword Her second choice in weaponry, a Straight Sword, both Great, and One-Handed she is very adept with. During her time in the Sultan Sworn she trained with little else but Sword and Shield, but after gaining enough rank, she was afforded the privilege to carry a Greatsword, forgoing the defence in exchange for a bit more reach. Halberd While not a weapon she holds as highly, or wields as well, she enjoys the look and feel of them, and has been trying to get better with one in the recent months. White Magic Yuyu is fairly skilled in basic white magic, while she would never choose to be a frontline mage, she can aid her allies to some degree if it is required of her. LIST OF FAMILY MEMBERS Yuyurii Yuri, mother. (♥) Yuyu’s Thoughts: "Don't worry mother, I'm going to be alright." Yuyushuu's mother is Yuyurii Yuri, a Lalafell from the far eastern lands. Yuyushuu doesn't talk about her parents too much, it isn't that she doesn't care about them, she just doesn't remember them as well as she would like to. Yuyurii stayed behind when Yuyu left home, and they've been in contact through mail on occasion, but to say they were particularly close would be an exaggeration. There isn't much to say about her other than Yuyu respects her, and if someone had heard from the right sources, she was an extremely talented Black Mage. Beyond that though.. There's not much to be found. Iche Yumeche, father. (✖ Unknown) Yuyu's Thoughts: "Never really knew him.." Yuyushuu never knew her father very well, he disappeared from their life when she was still young. She doesn't really seem to care too much, and her mother never did share much about him to her, saying it was a time of her life that would probably have been better left alone, as her and Nenero were the only good things that had come from it. Nenero Muro, brother. (❖ Deceased) Yuyu’s Thoughts: ”If only I could have...” Yuyu's relationship with Nenero was always a strange thing... The two of them were never the closest siblings, but they always had each other's back when it mattered. The pair of them had left their home for Eorzea together, but had fallen apart over the years. Yuyu had moved to Ul'dah to join the Brass Blades while Nenero had gone to Limsa and become a freebooter, something Yuyu at the time had looked down upon. While they kept in touch, the rivalry and clash of life choices had always made it a very difficult relationship that both did their best to keep up. Years had passed like this and they'd all but fallen apart, only a few letters here and there, and neither really knew the other anymore, and when the Garleans invaded neither were able to get into contact again. Yuyu tried her best during the breaks in combat to get a hold of him, sending letters weekly and trying to use her connections in Limsa to get any idea of what had happened to him. It wasn't until after the battle of Carteneau and she was recovering from her own injuries she found out Nenero had been killed by the Garleans in a raid weeks prior to the final clash. Even though he had become a stranger to her, Yuyu could never let go of the guilt she had felt for treating him like a pirate, or some stranger and all but severing ties. Deep down inside she had always wanted to join him in his adventures, or try to keep him safe, and ultimately felt she had failed.
