Her hair is often long, and will either be done and braided nicely or left to be flowing and unruly depending on how she feels upon first waking up each morning. The Borlaaq's hair is naturally brown, but this has been known to change wildly as she feels like it. Some days it may be it's natural hazel color, other days it could be golden blonde, or bright, fiery red. Regardless of the color, she always highlights it with a soft purple, made to bring out the color in her bright amethyst eyes. Across her body line many piercings, with some in her eyebrows, nose, lip, and a few others across her body and hanging from her horns. As a whole, Cierra is short, even for an Au'ra. She is fairly toned however and it is clear from her build and body shape that she exercises plenty, with a small chest and muscular, curving hips. Scars & Markings: Cierra has few scars, something she is rather proud of as to her it means she has made few mistakes. They have grown over her years in moderation, but her body is otherwise rather clean. Voice: Cierra's voice, while at its foundation is quite soft and somewhat high, she keeps it incredibly monotone, just like her emotions. She has two ways of speaking it seems, either in brief, flat sentences with little description or inflection, or in long and drawn out speeches of flowing words and surprisingly articulate speech. What makes her want to speak in one way or the other is unknown, and it seems that she chooses her type of language at random. Regardless of the form in which Cierra speaks, her voice is always accented heavily in Xaelan, and is always an immediate tell of her Othardian birthright. Clothing: Cierra's attire consistently strikes the boxes of being functional, revealing, and often times showy as well. For someone typically so emotionless and blunt, her outfits tend to be complex. Though no matter what, she refuses to wear long dresses, always settling for pants, tights, even skirts. But never dresses. Cierra's personality to... really, everyone, seems incredibly flat. She refuses to publicly display any emotion, whether that be happiness, anger, concern. In her mind, it is all displays of a weakness of some sort, and that by hiding her emotions it creates an air of almost invincibility. Though as she gets to know specific people better, her true self begins to crack through and they may pull a smile or snide smirk from her. Beneath her seemingly-impenetrable wall, the Xaela is rather playful, liking to poke fun at others and make sarcastic jokes. Though this is very rare, and something she will only ever show to the people she feels most comfortable around. Likes Tall, commanding women. NPC Khota Borlaaq ( ♥ ♠ ) ( NPC ) - Former Lover Khota was Cierra's first lover, and her only one before Pandora. Being part of a small, nomadic clan of Borlaaq, everyone was fairly close within their tribe. The connection Cierra and Khota had however was special, at least to Cierra. Cierra devoted herself strictly to Khota, but her partner however was much less monogamous- without Cierra's knowledge. Whether she had always been disloyal to her or it happened along in the relationship, Cierra never knew. When she returned to their tent to find her beneath furs with two of their clan-sisters, Cierra didn't ask questions. She quickly slayed the three of them, and left her people soon after. PC Tsarnai Borlaaq ( ♥ ✔ ) ( PC ) - Tsarnai Pandora was the first person Cierra truly met in Eorzea. Their first encounter was rocky at best, but earning Pandora's trust allowed them to get to know eachother a bit better. As their relationship continued to grow and the two had become engaged, Cierra came to learn of Pandora's true identity. She discovered that her partner was a Xaela disguised beneath a veil of magic, named Tsarnai Moks. This discovery and the related lies wrought the Borlaaq emotionally, but she overcame this and their relationship lived on. Through their marriage and the coming of their first child, Pandora, now properly named Tsarnai Borlaaq, has been a source of both great emotional strain and happiness for Cierra. How could she ever live without her wife? Nylora Ebonclaw ( ♦ ✔ ) ( PC ) - The Friend Nylora was one of the first people that Cierra interacted with in her time at the Obsidian Court, although indirectly. The Miqo'te was missing when Cierra was initially hired and her first task was to help find the girl. Since that time, she had in a way befriended her father-figure and Cierra's lover had conducted a rather serious surgery on her, so in a way Cierra supposed that she aught to meet the girl. The two of them seemed to connect surprisingly well, in the way that the two of them possibly could. They are both rather poor at social interactions, both somewhat-rebellious, and both mostly emotionless. They get along very well, and she is one of a small number of people capable of making Cierra's emotions visible- if only briefly. Vado Mercier ( ♦ ✔ ) ( PC ) - The Mentor Vado was perhaps the first person that Cierra became close with at the Obsidian Court. He has been kind and helpful to her when needed, and has shown her the proper way for her to act within her new field of interest. The two of them have grown very close, and Cierra has come to admire his abilities and level-headedness. She has a tendency to make him uncomfortable with her undying devotion to Nhaama, but the two are great friends nonetheless.. as well friends as Cierra could have, likely. Xiang Kahkol ( ♥ ♦ ✔ ) ( PC ) - The Outgoing Sister Xiang and her clan-sister were two people who Cierra immediately gravitated towards when she joined the Obsidian Court. As soon as she had found someone with whom she could speak Xaelan with, she was happy. Xiang is much more upbeat and social than her partner, but Cierra appreciates their company equally. To Cierra, they are her sisters, all of them family and daughters of the Dusk Mother. Daiyu Kahkol ( ♥ ♦ ✔ ) ( PC ) - The Quiet Sister Daiyu, much like her sister Xiang, are close to Cierra in a different way from the others. As they are all Xaela, she considers them to be sisters, and as such she feels much more comfortable speaking with them and having fun with them. It is as if their connection makes the woman open up without her realizing. Daiyu is much more quiet and reserved than Xiang, something that Cierra often respects and appreciates. Livia Crane ( ♦ ✔ ) ( PC ) - The Warrior Livia and Cierra butt heads now and again, and Livia knows precisely the proper ways to slam Cierra's buttons and force her to break down her wall of emotionlessness now and again, but deep down Cierra connects well with Livia. They are both rather blunt, and focus on accomplishment at any cost. Livia is devoted to her work as Cierra has seen, and for this she has come to respect Livia. Dovienya Cuenn ( ♦ ✔ ) ( PC ) - The Rose Dovienya is Cierra's boss, the leader of the Obsidian Court. Dovienya is stoic, blunt, and commanding, everything Cierra would want in a leader and everything she wishes to be as a leader. The Borlaaq looks up to Dovienya rather highly, and while Dovienya does not provoke Cierra's deeper, more playful side as some of the others do, she does bring about a side of Cierra that even fewer manage to do- a submissive side of her. Dovienya's commands seem to make Cierra act almost professional. Anaguma Kenesa ( ♦ ✔ ) ( PC ) - The Shadow Cierra looks up to Anaguma. Whereas Dovienya connects with Cierra's more often-seen side, Anaguma taps into Cierra's sarcastic self. The two of them have had few chances to work together, but she admires Anaguma's abilities and his self-absorbed outlook on life. Marcus Feral ( ♦ ✔ ) ( PC ) - The Captain The more and more that Cierra worked with and spoke to the Captain, the more she grew to appreciate his role in the Court. What she once considered to be laziness or perhaps helplessness, she now sees professionalism and tact. Cierra has begun to see some parallels between herself and Marcus, and has begun to work more closely with him. Charlant Bastoix ( ♦ ✔ ) ( PC ) - The Other Elezen Charlant is everything that Cierra hates in a person. He is nosy, rude, doesn't shut up, constantly and openly talks about his sexual desires- especially involving her, he is a man, and he is an Elezen. As far as she is concerned, he has no redeeming qualities whatsoever. He is what she would consider 'less-than-expendable.' Serick Aster ( ♦ ✔ ) ( PC ) - The Old Man Cierra has spoken to Serick on occasion, and every time their attitudes have clashed. She doesn't hate the old Miqo'te, but she's not the friendliest person herself either. Biast Basiliscus ( ♦ ✔ ) ( PC ) - The Garlean Cierra has never formally spoken with Biast, only ever stared him down. She was incredibly good at and intent on doing this however, as Garleans are very very low on her list of things that she likes. Vado seems to like him around, so she hasn't tried to do anything yet... but she certainly has her eyes on the man. Cemi Jinfeh ( ♦ ✔ ) ( PC ) - The Adopted Cierra once liked Cemi based solely on the fact that she shared her black scales and tough horns. As with Xiang and Daiyu, Cierra considered her a sister... until she heard the tribe that Cemi said she hailed from. Upon learning her identity, she has far less of a familial attraction towards the woman- but the question of her kinship from Nhaama has Cierra conflicted as to if she should dislike her or not. Madeleine Lanverlais ( ♦ ✔ ) ( PC ) - The Not-hated Elezen Cierra has had few and brief interactions with Madeleine, but surprisingly enough she has not hated each and every one- quite rare for an Elezen. From her view, Madeleine has shown to be stoic, a huntress, and a bit of a hard ass. All things that Cierra appreciates in a woman.
