Her propensity for trouble and daggers attracted the attention of the secretive Rogues Guild. Nefzen now is training with them to increase her skills in both close quarters blade fighting and stealth, but only between jobs she has been undertaking for them. More publicly, Nefzen is known to be a frequent seller of fish and shiny stones in the Limsa markets and an even more frequent patron of every bar and tavern in Eorzea. APPEARANCE Nefzen’s short, slight build lends itself perfectly to her quick, dexterous movements. While she is closer to 25 years old, her build and mannerisms lead many to mistake her for younger. She has gray toned skin with dark red hair and silver eyes. She has an old, faint scar going from just above her let eyebrow, across the bridge of her nose, to just under to right eye. Her right ear has a cuff on it and both of her ears are pierced for earrings. Her traditional Keeper Facepaint is a dark slash across her eyes. A dark water droplet birthmark adorns the center of her forehead (in honor of Nymeia's water aspect), though she usually wears a headband over it. She favors wearing fingerless gloves or fighter wraps but when her hands are bare they show scarring all across her knuckles from years of fist fighting. The rare occasions where she takes her shirt off shows a handful of faint lines along her arms from healed cuts from defensive wounds she's collected since joining the Rogues. Her clothing varies, but lately Nefzen has taken to wearing a red button down shirt that stays permanently open to her navel, yet manages to look less 'sexy' and more 'sloppy'. Under this she wears a black halter top that leaves her back tattoo exposed when her overshirt is off. Her pants and boots are typically black and utilitarian. On her back is a large tattoo going from the tops of her shoulders to the small of her back. It shows a pair of tailoring shears with the blades styled to look like the Adamantite Knives Nef fights with. Behind the shears is an image of Nymeia's Spinning Wheel, a red thread coming off of it to entangle between the blades and be cut. PERSONALITY Boisterious. Hot Tempered. Hunter. Unlike the typical Keeper, Nefzen is quite open and expressive, tending on the boisterous side. Her usual expression consists of a grin with a hint of mischievousness. While most of the time she is loud and outspoken, she has shown the ability to be extremely patient, sometimes waiting silently and near motionless for hours to surprise attack her prey (usually her youngest brother Erah'sae). Nefzen -loves- to drink. Her tolerance is almost supernatural and she is on a mission to visit every ‘watering hole’ in Eorzea. (By far her current favorite is The Drunken Moogle who carry mugs the size of her head!) LIKES Ethasexual. Attracted to Ethanol. Her brother puts it like this: “...Her relationship with liquor is like two lovers on their wedding night, but it’s that way forever.” Daggers. She has a vast appreciation for any bladed weapon. In particular knives and daggers. Fishing. Fish is probably her next favorite food after Booze. DISLIKES Morbols. One of her brothers was severely injured by one. Cold. She usually curses non-stop when in Coerthas. Quiters. Failure is always an option. You never leave a job half done. Sand. It gives everywhere and makes her tail itch. STRENGTHS Alcohol Tolerance. Her ability to consume vast quantities of booze borders on a supernatural ability. Stealth. Years of practicing stalking her brothers has made her unusually good at staying hidden. Patience. While hunting she has the ability to exercise extreme patience. WEAKNESSES Hot Headed. She is prone to explosive rages. Drink. COMBAT & WEAPONRY Nefzen's combat specialty is ambushing with dual daggers. She's an excellent tracker and was apart of her clan's hunting party from a rather young age. After arriving in Limsa Lominsa around All Saints Wake (2015) she was brought into the Rogues Guild who saw her potential and decided to help improve her skills. Since then she's been a rookie member, doing odd jobs for them from time to time. Hip Daggers Very proficient with daggers and knives. Always has at least two within arms reach, if not on her physical person, at all times. Throwing Knives She has several flat basic throwing knives hidden on her body in specially designed sheathes. Boot Knife Another weapon Nef always carries is a small, simple knife usually tucked into her right boot. It looks well worn but taken care of. Those who know weaponry might think it's too small for her. Bow She doesn't carry one around but has basic knowledge on how to use one. EXPERIENCE LOG Here is a list of recent and/or notable fights, roleplay scenes, etc. that Nefzen has been a part of. This list is by no means all inclusive, and serves more as a general reference as to what she has been up to. Kawa Matsuro (Jan 9, 2016) : Daggers, Throwing Knives, Hand to Hand. A sparring match between friends. It was on the beach near the Hidden Falls in Eastern La Noscea. While in Nef's mind it was more of a draw, Kawa actually got in 3 hits before she did. Opponent Name (Date) : Weapon. Details about the fight. BACKSTORY The Zhwan clan is located off the beaten path in the South Shroud, not too far from Quarrymill. Not too much is known about this particular clan as it is rather insular. Little is known about Nefzen's childhood other than that she is the second daughter and has four brothers. RECENT HISTORY During the All Saints Wake (2015) Nefzen finally left home. Her excuse was that her brother had be sent to 'watch over' their older sister who had left home some time before. Slipping aboard the wrong airship leaving Gridania, Nefzen ended up in Limsa Lominsa instead of Ul'dah where her brother was actually heading. There she wandered around for some time, awed by the vast difference the watery city was compared to the forest she had called home her whole life. Eventually she made her way into the Drowning Wench. Probably for the first time in her life, Nef felt at home. She and the sailors drunk and caroused into the wee hours of the morning. Days passed as Nefzen continued to look for her brother and simply enjoy exploring the city. After intervening in the defense of a dockworker her antics brought her to the attention of the Rogues Guild. They brought her into the fold and offered to help her hone her skills as well as teach her new ones. In return she helped them as a rookie member. So far her specialty is tracking down people or objects. She's gotten so good at it that she's started taking on a few side jobs of her own. In time Nefzen made her way to Ul'dah and tracked down her brother and sister both. Each now mostly go their separate way, though Nefzen stays in contact with Erah'sae more if only to protect him. Nowadays Nef is having fun roaming all over Eorzea, stopping at every tavern she can find. Her current favorite is the Drunken Moogle. Her mother doted on her older sister and still tried to force Nefzen into more domesticated skills hoping that she would marry and pass down the family name. Nefzen was a natural hunter and fighter and had no interest, not to mention no knack, for anything domesticated. Also her penchant for getting into trouble and beating up the other kids made her a disappointment to her mother. ? Lyehga, father. ( ♥ ❖? 🔒 ) Nefzen's Thoughts: "He was the one person who really understood me." Bowcrafter who hasn’t been seen since he took a shipment of bows to Carteneau just before the calamity happened. Nef was quite fond of him and has been having trouble with this. She believes that he is dead and blames him for not staying home since he was a crafter not a fighter. Sana Zhwan, eldest sister. ( ♥ 🔃 🔒 ) Nefzen’s Thoughts: ”Mom's pride and joy... my arse!” It's not that Nefzen and Sana dislike each other, it's more of a vast difference in outlook makes it hard for them to get along. It doesn't help that in many ways Nefzen is somewhat jealous of Sana and all the attention she has from their mother, even if it's not attention she's really like to begin with. Though when it comes right down to it they both seem to have the same ideals, to protect their family. Erah'a Zhwan, sibling. However, whenever the other kids in the area thought it a good idea to torment a poor unwanted 'fourth' she would beat them severely. No body messes with her little brother but her. Can hold his liquor almost as well as I can." Nef met Kawa at the first Wayfarer's Rest Singles night and have become good friends since. Elza Fairhan. They've meet up several times since then and have come to be friends. Elza's always been there when Nef needed a healer and seeing Elza open her own clinic has made very proud for her. Fhawn Millahn. GUIDELINES Overall, I'm pretty chill as far as guidelines go. I don't have an extensive list of 'Do's or 'Don't's or things that I personally find triggering. So chances are, you won't offend me or make me uncomfortable unless you're trying to or just being really skeevy in general. Still, for the sake of making sure everyone's on the same page here, let me make a few mentions in particular: I WILL NOT... Carry IC things OOC. With a decade of RPing under my belt I know how to split the line inbetween IC and OOC. It's -really- hard to offend me so don't worry about me taking anything done ICly the wrong way. Expect you to RP exactly like me. Everyone is different. They type at different speeds and are in different situations. Type slower than me? That's fine! I'm patient. Pressure you to do something you really don't want to do. Part of Nef's personality is sorta 'lets drag people off to go do stuff', but if you really don't want to just say so. Some people have appreciated Nef's ability to drag their characters off to things they want to go to but their character wouldn't go to on their own. I WILL... RP in the field. If you see Nef running around in the field don't hesitate to stop and say Hi. Her character was designed with the ability to post rationalize being anywhere and doing just about anything! It keeps me on my toes and I absolutely LOVE IT! Respect other's RP. Even if we don't agree with on things like lore or style of RP I will respect other player's roleplay. If I ever give the impression I don't, please talk to me backchannel because there's probably been a misunderstanding somewhere. Let my character be harmed. Torturing my characters is actually a favorite pastime of mine. 'Perfect' characters are boring for me to play. 'Broken' ones are so much more fun!
