Solis Claritas（ソリス・クラリータス）is a player character from the Balmung server. He is a greenhorn adventurer and well-trained gladiator raised by his father Solem Claritas. He comes from a small village in southern Thanalan that was under constant threat from the Amalj'aa coming from Zan'rak.

Personality

In basic terms, Sol has the body of an adult, yet the mind and pure heart of a teen. He is super energetic and naïve to the realm of Eorzea that he has not seen before. He can be oblivious and not very bright at time, but when the time calls for it, he can become serious, hyper, and hot-blooded in the blink of an eye, determined to win the fight and protect his comrades against evil.

More specifically, he has a pure-hearted demeanor and a hot-blooded personality. He's also hot-headed, preferring to charge into something without thinking things through, which more often than not gets him into trouble and bringing his friends along as well. He wishes to reunite with his father and to just have fun exploring and fighting. He will do anything to protect his friends, even sacrifice his own life if he must. He is very prone to anger and can get into comedic fits of rages over trivial things such as his apple being popped, although anger is serious when his friends and close ones are seriously hurt, sometimes even entering a tranquil rage focused at the one who hurt them. And also, he has trouble talking romantically with women, except those he is really close to.

Combat

General

Solis fights using an unique style of swordsmanship and brawling taught by his father, which he calls his ultimate moves, but really they aren't. With his mother's bare-handed techniques and his father's swordsmanship, all of Solis's attacks can give out the sensation of a burning fire, each slash and strike with enough power that leaves a nasty burn. He fights using his sword, shield, fists and legs.

History/Timeline

Birth and the Amalj'aa Raids

Solis was born in a small village on the 15th Sun of the 1st Astral Moon to Solem and Aurora Claritas, learning swordsmanship from his father, a former Immortal Flame Captain and bare-handed combat from his mother, an expert Pugilist. One day the village was under attack from a devastating force and Solis's mother was killed as a result, and the village ravaged. In the midst, Solem Claritas disappeared, leaving behind his bandana for Solis to wear. As a result of this, he swore vengeance against the Amalj'aa, wore his father's bandana as an important memento, and set off to adventure and get stronger.

A Rising Sun on a Radiant Dawn

Solis arrived at Ul'dah one day to start his adventures throughout the realm. He showed great joy and determination as he entered the city through the Gate of Nald, arriving in front of the Quicksand. (TO BE ADDED)
