Character

General

Having traveled with his adoptive "tribe" to the city-state Ul'dah, Tahla'li Tayuun's life has taken a turn towards the dangerous, exciting, and unexpected, in no particular order. In a general sense, he's happy for the change. No longer living in the shadow of Gridania and among all the memories that the Black Shroud holds, he has begun to come into his own in many ways. Whether his growth will continue on a positive trend, only time will tell.

Appearance

Being a registered adventurer and member of a Freecompany does have its advantages. Tahla'li now has more gil than he really knows what to do with, so when he was named an Ordinate in the Order of Nald'thal he decided to spend some of it on a robe that would make him look more the part. And that lead to getting another. And then another. Some are conservative, but some of his others still show off as much skin as he always has. The only truely uniform bits of his wardrobe are the monocle he wears to read the sometimes minuscule writing in spellbooks and his staff: a metalic scarab atop a wooden pole. But even this he alters, changing out the crystals to fit his mood.

Also of note is the length of his tail. It is much longer than average, even among fellow moonkeepers.

Behaviour

Though still boisterous, brash, and bratty in equal measure, his attitude has taken a markedly more pensive bent. He is more often quiet among his friends and adoptive "family" than not. Still, he has quite the temper at times, but when it flare up too hot he tends to isolate himself from others.

Combat

Following an arrow would to his left shoulder that's left an obvious scar, Tahla'li's days of archery are over. And though he's had a bit of training in hand-to-hand from Kodaro and a war axe to practice with, he tend to avoid these styles as well. Instead, he's a mage through and through. As an Ordinate Thaumaturge, he's an arsenal of spells at his disposal, and he uses them to great effect. Most recently, the mysteries of Black Magick have been revealed to him, and this has lead only to an increase in his power.

Friends & Acquaintances ● ♥E'liah Tia – To say that E'liah is pretty is an understatement. Tahl is fairly convinced he's gorgeous. But more than that, he's impressed with the way he handles himself, emotionally and otherwise. Perhaps he might learn from him now that they're mates as well. ● ♥Seda'li Tayuun – In Seda'li, Tahl has found the first member of his family he's ever felt close to. Their relationship can be strained at times since both Tayuuns are emotional roller coasters, but at the end of the day, there's nothing he wouldn't do for his cousin. At least, they think they're cousins. It fits. ● ♥Kodaro Ba'rococo – Tahl still feels bad when he thinks of what he had to do to poor Kodaro, but he cared for him enough that he did not want to lie to him. And he still cares now. He thinks of Kodaro like family now and will always be on his side. ● ♥ Rhesh'ir Zhwan – Tahla'li's feelings for Rhesh'ir may have finally cooled. He still loves the man, and always will, but he's started to accept his place in his life. ● Y'lyfriel Sikah – Though on speaking terms again, Tahla'li isn't sure his and Lyfriels relationship will ever quite be the same as it was. He's come to be happy for her and her kit, but in a private way as it's been ages since they last really spoke. ● Onuma Ahntifi – Though their first meeting was rather rocky (the words poacher and spy were bandied), Tahla'li has seemed to warm to her. At least slightly. Perhaps in the furture their relationship might warm even more, but the two see very little of each other ● Lotan'to Jiub – Tahla'li doesn't quite know what to think of this moonkeeper. The few words shared between them have left Tahla'li with a mostly positive impression, but he known more of his mate than Lotan'to himself, and that's saying something. ● Rah'na Lihzeh – Disappointment is probably the strongest feeling Tahl holds for Rahn'a now. So many things might have been different if the boy might have tried to act at least his age. Perhaps he'll grown now that he has Seda'li... ● ♥Dawson Colwell – How was it ever possible that Tahla'li would consider a Gridanian his friend? And a close friend at that? Whatever the case, that is what's come to be. Tahla'li feels he can trust Dawson with thoughts he might not with others, and he would certainly like to think that the conjurer feels the same. ● U'dahsh'a Nunh – Surprised to hear that this miqo'te is both keeper and seeker, Tahla'li would like to learn more of him. As it goes, he respects him and his abilities. ● X'linwh Tia (deceased) – Tahla'li has only happy thoughts for this seeker now that he's returned to Nald'thal. They had their rocky times, but he doesn't dwell on them. Maybe they'll meet again once he returns from the Aetherstream...

History/Timeline

Originally from the Molkoh tribe, Tahla’li left less than one year ago with the intention to never return. His exact motivations for doing so seem to have something to do with being his mother’s third son and his refusal to allow himself to be married off.
