P'ianthe Aliapoh
|
[edit]
P'ianthe Aliapoh (Pronunciation: peh-yan-thay ah-lie-a-poh), misplaced in our time. From thousands of years ago, sleeping along with hundreds of other preserved samples and citizens much like her, she rested. Half Allagan and half Meracydian, inheriting the Royal Eye and being miqo’te, she lived during the final years of the Allagan Empire. Pointedly cruel and quite invested in her research, she served in the Allagan military for ten years, developed the Neurolink program after being discharged, and raised a daughter much like her named P’allas. Her memories cut out at the age of 52, which is when her current self (a clone of the real Ianthe) was placed in stasis. The real P’ianthe lived to the age of 86, and died of natural causes. The current Ianthe is also incredibly skilled with aether and diseases. She keeps an egi close at all times.
On the shorter side for a miqo’te, Ianthe doesn't exactly strike an imposing figure. Her tail is short-furred and rather lacking in length as well, and gray hair strikes through naturally black hair. And, as much as the character creator would like to deny us poor players the luxury, she does have a rather impressive bust. Age lines stand out around her eyes, though she does her best to keep them concealed. Regularly repairing her body keeps her looking closer to her late thirties, rather than over fifty.
Cruel. Calculating. Amorous. Finding Ianthe without a wine glass or a cigar in hand is a rare sight indeed. Memories of her daughter and of Allag plague Ianthe, and she often attempts to push them from her mind by drinking or smoking. Or, on occasion, she’ll rather sleep with someone. Not anyone, however. Rather someone she knows. She’s also no stranger to cruelty. Just about anyone is a veritable target for this Meracydian woman. She’s often manipulative, and sly. Hardly anything will prevent her from trying to catch about anyone in her web of lies and sugared promises. She also fancies contracts and deals to seal her victims’ fates.
This is a list of the items that P'ianthe currently is keeping on her person. Feel free to use this information if it comes up logically in the course of RP, such as pickpocketing, a search, etc. Last Updated: 8/6/2016.
Handedness: Left.
Allagan Summoner, war veteran, and winner of the 69th Runestone, Ianthe has a knack for inflicting pain upon others and getting into fights.
Here is a list of recent and/or notable fights, roleplay scenes, etc. that Ianthe has been a part of. This list is by no means all inclusive, and serves more as a general reference as to what she has been up to.
She was born as the bastard child of an Allagan soldier and a Meracydian woman. During the war, her mother P'ajah was taken captive in Allag. Before the war was over, even, P'ajah was with child. Her daughter she named Ianthe, though she was born with the demonic red eyes of the Allagan people. Societally, Allag had no laws against other races. However, due to the war, Meracydians often found it difficult to live well. Managing as best she could, P'ajah sent her daughter to the best education she could afford. She learned alongside Allagan children, creating technological and aetheric abominations. At the age of sixteen, her mother no longer has the funds to continue sending P'ianthe to school. She had lost her job. Determined to get ahead and make a name for herself, she joined the Allagan military as a Summoner. A biological weapon. Allag offered scholarships to any students in service, and so she worked. Four years she juggled education and military training. Once she was 20, she was granted a scholarship to one of the finest Allagan universities. In her final years as a student, P'ianthe majored in aetherochemistry. Her true goal was to become a scientist on the newly developed military base, Azys Lla. The Primals of Meracydia had been subdued, and development of the island had been increased in the past year. Within her group of friends, they had been developing a senior project of sorts, with P'ianthe at the head. The idea was to create an artificial form of tempering, binding individual subjects to keys, using a surge of aether similar to attunement. Ianthe's job was to get the project off the ground, since she conceptualized it. Her roommates would work on the way it would actually work, having majored in aetherochemistry, engineering, biology, and computer engineering (with a minor in cyber security). Cyprian, a small hyuran boy, was the biologist. The engineer was Eryx, the aetherochemist was named Thisbe, and the computer engineer was named Rhea. However, few who could fund the project would listen to the pleas of a Meracydian woman. After two years of being unable to get Neurolink funded, P'ianthe and her colleagues went their separate ways. P'ianthe herself entered back into the military, remaining there until she was 28. She had been sent to keep a region near modern Garlemald in check, and was injured when an Allagan chimera broke loose. She had been protecting another citizen when her right arm was mauled by the chimera. After the incident, it was replaced with a prosthetic, and she was honorably discharged the following month. A private confrontation with the head of the chimerics division, a hyuran man named Erebos, ended in a deal. A contract signed between the two of them. She could control his chimeras, and he would fund the project… for a price. She’d dance for him, and give him anything he wanted. Each time he grew upset or impatient, he would threaten to cut funding, and each time P’ianthe would return to sate him. By the end of the project’s development, she was 29, and with child. Erebos, of course, was the father. She’d not wanted a child, and even threatened Erebos with assault charges. He still controlled the financial situation of Neurolink, however, and P’ianthe was forced to back down. Several years after having her daughter (P’allas was her name), Ianthe met a kind Meracydian man. He was only a mechanic, having barely gained citizenship in Allag, but they worked together within the Flagship. S’yche asked P’ianthe to marry him on her 35th birthday. P’allas was 6 at the time. Outraged by her vow to another, Erebos threatened and blackmailed both Ianthe and her daughter, and the financial situation of Neurolink. Unable to do much but submit, P’ianthe continued her affairs with the chimerics director. Soon his threats and other illegal dealings were unearthed, and he was executed. The lawyer who discovered the affairs, however, was interested in protecting the sanctity of Ianthe’s family and her job. Her involvement was rather dangerous, and he could help… for a price. The affairs began anew. Her husband knew some of what was going on, though he remained silent, knowing their precarious situation as Meracydians. By the age of 41, the affairs had stopped. Three years after the affairs had ended, P’ianthe felt a growing pressure to ensure her line’s fame. Pressuring her daughter, she convinced P’allas to enlist in the Allagan military. She was only 14 at the time, but Allag had few laws as far as age went. A mage needed not be physically skilled, after all. Feeling the decline of her life, P’ianthe cloned herself on Azys Lla, sealing away her clone within the Fractal Continuum at the age of 52. Her memories cut out at that point, but the original P’ianthe lived to the age of 86, dying peacefully of natural causes.
Upon waking up, Ianthe had a renewed cruelty, and nothing to hold her back. Thousands of years of being asleep took quite the toll upon her body, and she quickly found herself siding with Garlemald. Under the command of Decima van Balventius, she works for the Vth Legion, operating Neurolink still. She has a student by the name of Leonnaux Altoix as well, whom she signed a contract with. "Do anything I ask of you, and tell no one" were the terms. However, Leonnaux has been quick to break both. An attempt to resurrect her daughter through Leonnaux was made, and quickly backfired, ending in him having possession of her daughter's soul crystal. She's threatened several... less than savory consequences, and attempted to make good upon one of them. However she was quickly subdued, and her fate with Leonnaux lies in question.

Overall, I'm pretty chill as far as guidelines go. I don't have an extensive list of 'Do's or 'Don't's or things that I personally find triggering. So chances are, you won't offend me or make me uncomfortable unless you're trying to or just being really skeevy in general. Still, for the sake of making sure everyone's on the same page here, let me make a few mentions in particular:
