General

Born into the usual all female clan of Keepers, Seye was discovered at a young age to have an odd birth defect which has caused the woman to be a mute. Unable to speak due to an issue with her vocal cords; her body was never properly developed to handle speech when within her mother’s womb. The woman is known to make odd sounds if need be to gain one’s attention but nothing that could be even remotely seen as words.

Like many Keepers, her clan was all Female with the occasional male roaming in before departing a sun or two later. The act of the males coming and going intrigued the young Seye and one sun while still young she followed as if bitten by Wanderlust. Before she could get far her mother was quick to swoop her up and bring her back home yet the idea of the world outside of her clan caused the child to yearn to adventure.

As she grew, she learned how to hunt and track as well as which herbs were good for what. The wanderlust she once had from watching the male leave seemed to suddenly disappear as her curious mind found a haven in the idea of creating potions. She was prone to experiments, testing certain herbs with others, soils, and cross-breeding plants. Some experiments were better than others but many were harsh failures that had at times caused a danger to her clan; after all, no one wants to be suffocated out of their home by a spry young Keeper playing with dangerous herbs!

With her Clan not enjoying the dangers some of her productions brought she was given the ultimatum to either forgo her practice of Alchemy or leave. Now having the choice, the young Keeper took the option of leaving and quickly caught on to why her family stayed in the back ends of the Shroud for so long when it came to interactions with many other races. Only sixteen at the time, the Keeper was quick to realize what Gil was and how greedy people could be for it. In a means to survive and start a life for herself she seemed to do anything she could to make a gil. Cleaning homes, taking care of stock, picking herbs to sell, etc . . .

While doing all she could to ensure her survival, the Local RedBellies were quick to pick up on the lone Miqo'te trying to live out in the Shroud. While they believed her to be nothing but a runt many began to gain interest in her as they would watch her make offerings to the Elements, Pick Herbs, play with alchemy, and her cards. They nicknamed her a Woods' Witch believing that she truly was one and would seek her out for potions and drugs and did their best to stay on her good side by just staying out of it thinking if they struck her ire she would curse them.

🌙Current Events🌙

As of Jan 22th - Feeling confident in her studies, Seye has stepped up and finally decided on what form of Aether she wishes to learn. The woman has sought out one of the Acranists within the group in hopes of being taught how to heal using conductive ink and shapes.
As of Jan 20th - During the Company Gala, Seye's Date, Roderick pulled a romantic move with a slow dance on the beach after the two were unable to dance all night. Falling for the moment, the two shared a romantic scene of a kiss in the moonlight which had instantly swooned the woman's heart. Curious to how the man felt, a question was brought up as to find out if he was serious or not. With his heart on his sleeve, Roderick spoke his feelings for the woman and the two have decided to give dating a go.
As of December 22nd - A company gift exchange program for Starlight has given Seye the ability to speak. After receiving a specialized gift from her co-worker Avos Oryn the Keeper is now seen with a Magitek collar that sends small electrical pulses in to her body which helps ease the tension and stiffness of her larynx allowing it to flex and actually work (She can talk!). The woman still does not talk much as she is not used to it and often has volume control issues and known to mispronounce words and slur them. The device also puts her in pain so she doesn't use it often.
As of December 8th - After hearing a lecture on Aetheric properties and studies by Emrys Bennett, Seye has become enthralled with learning about all types of aetheric mending. Seye took no time in getting right to work putting her nose in a book and trying to learn as much as she can.
As of November 20th - Seye is working on learning sign language through an Ul'dah merchant. While she brings him herbs he teaches her new words. She is working to try and use it as another means of communication though she often will fall back on her charades when she can't remember a word.
As of November 5th - Seye has become more confident in her new home and has slowly but surely made a place for herself within one of the rooms. With the tension of having to forage for food now off her mind and a steady paycheck in her hand; she is starting to open up to the world and act more like herself.

Appearance & Personality

Seye is as you see her though upon further inspection many often take note of her height. She is a rather tall Keeper but has no issue as she uses her height to help her reach places within the Shroud that many others need to use a ladder for. She has brown hair which is most often seen pulled back in the center of her head in to a clip and pony tail in the back. At times she will let her hair down but only for special occasions. Her idea of fashion often leads people to believe she may be tribal though not a Seeker. She enjoys soft clothing and hates being forced to wear heavy winter clothing. Her eyes are a bright teal which to some may not seem natural though she was truly born with them. Over her left eye is a simple scar. She gained it not from battle or anything traumatic but by simply being smacked in the face with a branch while out foraging.

Many believe the woman to look like a greedy Keeper always looking to get rich, yet those who truly understand her know it was just her wanting to ensure her survival (Think the Great Depression and how everyone held onto everything they could and penny pinched as much as possible). Overall, the Keeper is kind but often is seen as childish due to how she has to express herself to communicate.

Inventory

Seye is not a big fighter but knows Archery, Tracking, and Fortune Telling from her raising. Her ability to use aether is limited and is often met with sickness for a few bells depending how much is used. The woman, however, is interested in still learning to heal with the use of aether and is currently attending classes with strong hopes of learning. For right now she is a strong advocate of using herbal remedies and traditional medicine and is always with her satchel of goods either ready to use or ready to sell.

	Dried Fogweed - Used by hunters of Tailfeather to help calm their nerves, the Keeper is quick to always buy up what she can when it shows up on a vendor. She enjoys smoking it as she enjoys feeling relaxed and it helps clear her mind as she thinks up new concoctions to make.
	Flowers - Now being employed, Seye is often carrying around flowers as a means of gifting those who gift her items (jelly beans, food, anything really)
	Gil - Seye keeps a small amount of Gil on her at all times. She tries to only use it if she truly needs to. She is more often fine drinking from a river or savaging berries from nearby plants to handle basic needs first and foremost.
	Notepad - Seye keeps a tiny notepad on her person for when she just gives up trying to convey what she wants with mere motions and hand waving.
	Pipe - A hand crafted pipe for smoking made out of an Antelope horn.
	Cactuar Needle - A simple needle which she uses to close deep wounds. Nothing special about it.
	Bandages - Simple bandages made from the abundance of Flax found throughout the Shroud.
	Recipe Book - Seye carries her book of all the recipes she has as well as scribbles of ideas for new ones she comes up with when enjoying her Fogweed.
	Tarot Reading Cards - After being taught how to read fortunes as an alternative means to making money by a small band of traveling keepers Seye ensures to keep her cards on her at all times and is often called a Woods' Witch.

Potions and Products

	Common Health Potion - The usual potion meant to help restore vigor and energy to the user. Not meant to heal wounds! Recommendations ■ Increase in Energy ■ A wake-me-up
	Diluted Belladona Potion - This potion is meant to help relax those who suffer from anxiety or stress. While Belladona is known to be used for sleep potions, this deluded mixture will help ease the body in to a relaxed state without causing the user to pass out. Recommendations ■ Decrease Stress ■ Decrease Anxiety ■ Anger Management
	Aphrodisiac - Many people request Love Potions but even if there was such a thing Seye does not wish to create it. She doesn't believe in forcefully making the heart yearn but is happy to provide ways to make the body yearn.
	False Sickness Potion - A potion meant to cause the body to sweat and pale but allows the user to feel completely fine. Often bought by the youth as a means to fake sickness to get out of chores for the day.
	Skin Care Cream - A simple concoction that uses natural ingredients such as honey, lavender, beeswax, and more to create a paste that is meant to leave your skin feeling clean and healthy. Known to brighten completions and help fade sunspots and small scars.
	Breath of Air - Got Bad Breath? Ate something that is causing your loved one to refuse to kiss you? This potion is for you! Special ingredients as well as a large use of Mint allow your mouth to feel fresh and clean for bells on end! Please, do not drink this product! Best used in small amounts of swishing.
	Dissovlent - An Acidic liquid that is meant to help dissolve several things. It has several uses. Recommendations ■ Remove Callouses from hands and feet ■ Remove dye from objects other then clothing/Fabric ■ Remove rust from metals ■ Fade Tattoos (USE WITH CAUTION)
	Silencing Potion - Simple silencing potion which can interrupt a spell caster. Good for one use.
	Sabotender Flower Petals - Rumor claims that when dried, soaked in honey, and then applied to the forehead, sabotender flower petals can cure headaches caused by over drinking.
	Numbing Agent - Simple gel created with several ingredients from the Shroud, including a tiny drop of Morbol spit. The gel is to be applied topical only and is meant to numb areas, great for pain.

	Dried Fogweed - Used by hunters of Tailfeather to help calm their nerves. May cause hunger. (Weed)
	Somnus - A rather potent and strong drug which is prone to warp one's mind. A fine powder which once inhaled can cause one to have basic hallucinations to even death. It is very dangerous and Seye does her best to not sell it. (Opium)
	Milkroot - A small root which when chewed on will extract a thick white sap. Grants hallucinations. (LSD)
	Shriekshroom Cap - The cap of a Shriekshroom carefully harvested to ensure the spores are ripe and left intact. Once ingested, the spores are said to give the user the ability to 'see' messages left by ghosts/ cause hallucinations. (Shrooms)

Player Relations
Lukas Madrazo⋡ The idiot Seye met this man while attending one of Club Crescents events. She was curious as to why he was without a cowboy hat while everyone else had it. Though there obviously not much 'conversation' between the two she made her leave of the main area as she was unable to handle the massive amount of noise. The man followed and the two continued to 'converse' which only turned out to him asking her about her products. Seye ended up selling the man one of her more 'hidden' products and sat with him outside Thanalan as he wished to use it as a means to ensure the man didn't strip himself naked and run off somewhere. The man spilled his concern for an upcoming robbery his friends were planning and the problems he had. Seye just rolled her eyes as the man explained everything only to make her glad she was mute should anyone come looking for her should something go array. The man seems slows on some of the uptake and caused her more then once to facepalm. She is unsure of what to think of the man but after the encounter she obviously gained a client so she sees no issue in it all. Medwin Baladur✘ All Bulk, No Brains A man who Seye can't figure out and nor does she want to is Medwin. There had a couple encounters with the man and none of them good. Their first meeting was him accusing her of selling bad potions which left a bad taste in her mouth. The second was him daring to approach her at a tavern in the Shroud. Many of the patrons knew her there and when he began to start a scene they were quick to get him to stop; only to cause the man's ego and anger to rage out of control and attack one. After the man got his ass kicked, Seye was paid to mend him which she had no trouble doing since she was getting paid. If not, she would have left him there. She finds the man to have anger management issues and doesn't trust him thinking he is just a bomb waiting to explode. Rodrick Hayes❂ ❤ Adonis Abs Rodrick was simple Highlander who was hired by Seye to protect her while trying to get some Herbs out in the Shroud after a massive beat down she received during a mission. The man knew no shame when it came to walking around topless which was instantly causing Seye to become more and more interested in the man. After he had been spewed on with Bad Breath while attempting to fetch her order, she felt bad and offered him her home and bath to clean up. The two both seemed rather interested in each other and Rodrick flat out asked if she was available and offered up a date. With no concerns about shelter, food, water, or being able to make a living, Seye happily took the man up on his offer and hopes her choice is a start to something amazing. Veyha Yanjahl⋡ The Employer After a meeting in the Shroud while trying to get honey from the Honeybee hives outside Hawthorne hut the two came to acknowledge each other. Though the woman was quite rude at first until she discovered that Seye wasn't refusing to respond to her questions but just couldn't due to being mute. A game of charades ensued which seemed to thrill the woman to the point that after their meeting Veyha offered Seye to come visit her company in the Shroud; obviously hoping to play the game a bit more. Seye did meet up with the woman and had interest in going to the Far East with them but soon found herself being called to Emrys's aid for jobs; that and the man was constantly feeding her like a stray cat. Edric Wolfgang✸ ⋡ Brows A Highlander that seems too proud at times to state any weakness he has was one of the 'many' who misunderstood Seye when attempting to buy her wares. The man sought her out in Ul'dah while she was attempting to trap a cactaur for their water and brought up the rumors he had heard of her herbal remedies. With pride keeping him from acknowledging his lack of ability to read; the man picked a random potion and soon felt the results of his mistake. After Seye was quick to turn and avert her eyes from the fact the man decided to drink the Aphrodisiac potion in front of her to 'test' the affects she was quick to realize that he wasn't very bright. After offering up a potion on the house to help 'fix' his problem she played charades and acted out all of her other items so he could properly pick. The man gave her a link pearl as a means for contact though the man will find out how she uses such soon enough. Emrys Bennett♥❂⋡ The Mentor A man in which a business deal was struck with to supply certain potions and products upon his return to and in doing so has won over Seye as a friend. The man has offered his home to her if only so be she can stop by and read the vast majority of the books he has on herbalism. She also enjoys the fact the man always seems to have food on hand, even if she has to fight against his carbuncle, Aodh, for it. Avos Oryn❂⋡ Mr. Smiley Seye knows nothing really of the man but after he assisted her with her back burns from a job she believes him to be kind and pure of heart. She is thankful for meeting him and hopes to become great friends! - As soon as he can figure out her charades. Defiant Bride⋡ The Uncertain Never truly having a conversation (so to speak) with the small Au Ra, Seye has only been able to witness her from afar. Though they share the fear of ghosts, Seye is still trying to figure out why some members are 'crossing their legs' when in her presence or why they lean away from her. She thinks the woman may have a scent that she herself cannot smell as she doesn't believe the small Au Ra to be a bully. Hopefully, time will help Seye figure out this woman. Solemn Olive♥❂ Enchanted A simple encounter lead to Seye and Olive meeting while in the Sands and it was merely a set of blue flowers that brought the two friends together. While talking with Barrett, well, more of flailing around trying to get him to understand what she wanted to say; the two seemed to share interest in herbalism and little bit of gambling. The two seem like good friends and Seye is happy to be able to ask her more personal questions as if to try and help out her curiosity while wanting to help the woman learn as much as she can when working with plants. Barrett Thorn♥❂ The Over-Thinker This man caught Seye's attention when she took notice of a Highlander wearing bright blue flowers in his hair. It was an interesting meeting which caused another friend to greet Seye happily. While the man is horrible at trying to figure out what she is trying to say he still is a caring friend and even confronted her when the others thought Seye, herself, had a crush on him and apologized thinking he was too thickheaded to notice. Sadly, Seye turned the man down as she does not have any romantic feelings for him but happily sees him as a great friend. Grant Yaeger✸ Thoughtful Seye had a previous run-in with Grant during a single's night and had tried to hook him up with an AuRa who was there as well. She then ran in to him once more in Ul'dah nearly a moon later to find out he was not looking for love but just to people watch. The man proven to be rather good at charades and seemed to have no issue in understanding Seye; for the most part. Seye feels like she can be herself around him and hopes a good friendship sprouts from their encounters.

OOC INFORMATION

Player Note

I have a very clear distinction when it comes to OOC/IC. They must remain separate at all times if we are to RP together, especially on an extended basis and I reserve the right to end interactions should this be impeded upon. I've been burnt heavily by people mistaking IC care and OOC friendship and attention with romantic regard and honestly I don't wish to go through another such debacle once more. Please understand that I am happily married. I am not looking to have an affair or have someone on the side. My spouse respects my hobbies and I respect his own. In addition, if my character dislikes yours that does not mean I hold the same sentiment. If my character loves yours that does not translate to me feeling the same for you, though I might feel a platonic equivalent. I am not my characters and they are not me. Respect this and we shall get along famously.

Personal RP Limits

I don't have very many hardcore limits honestly as I feel consequences must be adhered to when RPing any character regardless of whom they might be. However there are a few exceptions to this and they are as follows.

■ I will play Almost anything that isn't described below.

■ I won't play Death, Rape, Maiming, ERP only Plots. I don't mind romance but it needs to be earned and respected. Do not try and force your character on to mine. If I feel this is the case I will quickly end the RP and speak with you OOCly to either correct the issue or end the RP connection between the two in a faithful manner both parties can agree upon. I will not RP out Rape and it would take some heavy convincing to allow it to happen to my character in the first place. However, my character losing a limb, gaining a limp, or anything from being heavily beaten is on the table after talking it out.

■ If you're ever uncomfortable, tell me! I don't bite! I can get pretty into RPing out consequences however and while I do my best to make sure permission is had and everyone is comfortable I'm not perfect. If you have a problem speak up.

■ Depending on how YOUR character tries to interact with mine will be the type of responses you will get. I will not change how my character acts to appease you. If you dislike how she acts then you have NO REQUIREMENT TO ROLEPLAY WITH HER (or me). I play this game for fun and to allow those who I enjoy spending time with to have fun. If you wish to be triggered by my character feel free to post on Tumblr about it to hopefully an audience who cares.

■ This is a broad statement for all my characters, but I have a hard limit of at least two months before I'll allow my character to enter a relationship. A good friend mentioned their own rule regarding this and I greatly respected the idea of it, so I'll be putting it into practice myself. I've been burned far too many times by hasty RP relationships and want to make it clear from the get go so there is no misunderstanding. If your character is trying to romance my own, be prepared for it to take awhile.
