Appearance & Personality

Xyla wears glasses on her face to help her read better.
While she may come off as neutral and Monotone, Xyla has slowly developed a personality akin to a curious and very careful type. Wanting to make sure nothing goes wrong and wishes to belong.

Biography

While the memories of the real Xyla's past resides inside her, it is not her history...

Before Creation

Xyla Quintessence was born in the Shroud to a loving family. Yet as time went on, her powers and potency with the Aether lines became far too strong. Her parents would abandon her in fear that she might cause much strife to the point of reducing the woman to a hermit. Living out in an abandoned cave in Snakemolt she would make a name for herself as the 'Black Witch'. Able to aid those who request just about anything...yet the greed of people were more attracted than say looking for lost items or people. They asked for money, fame, strength and so on. Even with warnings, those clinets ignored them and were given that which they asked for...with heavy prices.

Her reputation turned from caution to being blamed as a murderer and deadly. As a loner it made sense to pin blame on those with no family ties or friends. And soon enough, a militia was sent to kill the witch.

Before the final blow could be drawn, an Elezen male reached out his hand after slaughtering the militia and asked...

"Do you want to cleanse this world with me?"

After Creation

Created as the four hundred and first Doll, This Xyla was a test to use Au Ra DNA and see if other races could be used. Though it worked, this one was weak in physical strength unlike the rest and her personality was warped due to the genetics. As such, Varthamith proposed an idea...

Either be a failure and reduced to her primordial state, or be useful for pleasure on the side.

She bit the bullet and took his offer, not wanting to die like the other failures.

Months would pass and her first ever job was contracted by another Xyla under Varthamith's order. Poison some wine meant for a group close to Arala Makeo. She was reluctant as she hardly knew the woman despite sharing some memories like the rest. She eventually caved and did the deed...only failing since they found out before they could drink it.

After some time, Xyla slowly started to rebel after talking with a few people. As Lilith promised to help Xyla, she followed the word of Robert Colt and decided to finally join him. Her ties with Varthamith have been cut off since then and is now on her own. Living at the company house and promised to use her abilities when needed.

Now with the Augmentations attuned and the key to his tower figured out, she waits for Arala's word to assault. For when this all ends, she sees no other reason to keep living.

Combat

Combat is the last thing Xyla wishes to do, but in her situation she uses her crystals to further her skills and even fuses elements to make whole new spells!

Strengths and Weaknesses

Xyla excels in magic much like her creator to an unthinkable level.
Her body is weak and frail and at times can show signs of use and tear from casting too many spells. While she is powerful, she can eventually break or kill herself from using the augmentations.
