[[File:KasiPortrait.png|130px|frameless|left]]Although fairly short and petite by Eorzean standards, this adult dark-skinned Miqo’te Keeper of the Moon manages to look at least a little imposing thanks to her black and silver heavy plate armor. She carries with her a large and imposing steel zweihander clasped to her backside which shows generous amounts of wear from use. While her top half is nearly completely covered in sturdy steel, her lower half places a bit more emphasis on movement with a simple deep violet skirt, black combat shorts underneath, and steel-plated leather thighboots. While her equipment is meticulously maintained, her gear shows a great deal of wear and is sporadically peppered with old, smudged blood stains. She appears to be carrying most- if not all- of her personal possessions with her on her back, which most notably features a cast-iron skillet.

[[File:Larswith armor.jpg|130px|frameless|left]]Fairly average in height, this dark-skinned Hyur is solidly build with muscle and an athletically built body. She usually wears baggier clothing that hides the defined muscular structure of her form and is routinely mistaken for but an average young lass. While she tends to remain dressed in simple day-to-day attire she is also often scene within some long shorts and a plain white t-shirt while training. In combat, she is clad in black leather armor that conforms to her body almost like a second skin.  The only weapons that are sometimes visible are a pair of knives, looking rather mundane in origin with nothing special to catch the eye.

What little skin she shows is impressively muscular- a result, no doubt, of extensive combat training in plate with heavy weapons. Her intense, red eyes peek out from under a rat’s nest of black unkempt hair, which is broken up by streaks of deep red amidst the short locks. Her face has a fair bit of grime and dirt to it, but is otherwise free of obvious injury or blemish, save for a streak of white warpaint that runs horizontally across her nose and halfway over her cheeks. Her lips are a lighter shade of black compared to her hair, and almost always formed into a relaxed smile. She's always chewing on something, which is occasionally replenished by the contents of a small satchel at her belt.

At seventeen years of age, her face carries with it a very definite youth.  Her nose, however, is slightly crooked from being broken and her features carry a small amount of weathering from damage done to her face.  Her hair is made up of long dreadlocks, usually clasped with an array of colors strung along their lengths.  She has a pair of long, thin horizontal scars fading upon her back.  There is also a tattoo upon the bottom of her left foot, marking her allegiance to her family.

Cheerful, even-tempered, and calm under pressure, Kasi is a soldier through-and-through that thrives at being the eye of the storm. She is personable, friendly, and informal towards others, and can get along with nearly anyone- ally and enemy alike. While she is slow to anger or taunt, the one thing she cannot stand is a coward. She prides herself foremost on a reputation of being upfront and honest in all her dealings, and expects the same in return. When it comes to those she calls family and other Miqo'te, Kasi is the very definition of benevolent and even takes on protective and motherly qualities. She will put herself in harm's way without hesitation to defend them.
+
Friendly, playful, yet vicious and angry, Larswith is a maelstrom of emotions. When among friends, she is often a rather cheerful and friendly individual, but if the wrong buttons or pressed she is just as likely to throw something or smash someone in the face. So long as people don't intentionally seek to irk her, she can often be considered a solid friend. Larswith despises when people poke around an issue or avoid it entirely and would much rather tackle things head on. The quickest way to frustrate the woman is often via silence.

While most may not be given cause to suspect otherwise, Kasi is anything but a paragon of kindness and philanthropy. When it comes to the other races, she is coldly apathetic on first meeting, but not necessarily racist. She turns a blind eye toward slavery, drugs, torture, and murder, and even willfully profits by and supports such institutions. While she always keeps her word, she will only adhere to the strict interpretation of it- not necessarily to the spirit in which it was given. At best, she is true to her oaths, and at worst, she is an outright manipulative schemer that will not balk to take advantage of a situation at someone else's expense.
+
At seventeen years of age, Larswith is often thought to be an innocent child, but lurking beneath her outer exterior lies a potentially dangerous predator that almost yearns to be free. She considers few to be truly close to her, but she has a 'family' by extension of those people. To them, she is a fiercely loyal woman who can be counted on without question in the very worst of situations.  But to anyone who isn't part of that extended family, she is a bit distant and on-edge as she looks upon them with a suspicious gaze.

There is a feral, bloodthirsty side to Kasi that revels in the pain and suffering of others, but she often keeps it bottled up. When uncorked, her normally cheerful demeanor becomes a sick and twisted reflection. Her sadism finds expression most commonly in combat, where she can put her zweihander and obscene strength to the artistic task of horrifically dismembering and mutilating her enemies. In some cases, she has been known to choke opponents with her own bare hands and claim grisly trophies from fallen foes. Occasionally, she can be goaded into showing this savage side of herself, particularly if she needs to intimidate or make an example of someone. Thankfully, such cases are currently rare.
+
While her loyalty is absolute, her temper is a much more fickle creature.  Despite her undying devotion to her 'family', she is often at odds with at least someone. Unfortunately for those that consider her to be a part of their group, she can suddenly shift from having a good time, to wanting to hurt someone.  Her aggression and anger is best put to use in battle, or upon a special task that involves the murder or suffering of another being. When unable to satisfy her almost feral nature, she grows restless and bored which will often lead to another outburst of emotion.

Kasi is primarily motivated by her dream of one day seeing the formation of a universal culture and nation of Miqo'te that puts family and kin above all else. To achieve this end, she pursues the lure of gil to fund such an enormous undertaking, and tries to convert others to follow her dream along the road. Kasi goes to great lengths to teach others the importance of kin and family, and that kin fighting kin, or family fighting family, is the most abominable thing of all. Kasi's goals are currently displayed most prominently in her role as a mob boss in the Mischief's Coven, where she fosters a strong Miqo'te following and is looked to as a leader of the family beside her mate.

Larswith Medwyn grew up in a fairly average sort of family on the outskirts of Limsa Lominsa.  Her father, Rynold, worked in the shipyard, building new vessels for the pirate economy of the city.  Her mother, Annadyn, was a mostly stay-at-home mother who Larswith is most commonly said to resemble.
<center>''"What doesn't kill you..."''</center>

Kasi's history is not a terribly storied one, though the account of it may be more interesting in the details if one were to ask her directly. As far as public knowledge goes, Kasi grew up in the South Shroud with a tribe of Miqo'te poachers who, at least at the time, were raising the children as a community family rather than father-mother-child units. As a result, she never really knew her parents short of a single encounter with a woman who claimed to be her mother. Kasi left the tribe as soon as she came of age, adopted her own surname, and joined the Twin Adders both as a means to get formal combat training as well as scrub her poaching record clean. Kasi took to the social challenges of being an outcast just as strongly as she did to the physical ones of being in the military, and looks back on the experience fondly as one of the defining moments of her entire life. She served 5 years in the Gridanian military before being honorably discharged.
+
The only child of the family, Larswith was privately schooled by instructors that her mother had set up for her using the limited funds her father brought in from working the shipyard. As a stay at home mother, Annadyn taught Larswith a handful of skills, but most prominently her love for cooking.

When Larswith was 14 years of age, Annadyn fell ill with pneumonia and eventually passed away.  Overwhelmed with grief, Rynold turned to booze, then gambling, then drugs to try and cope with the heavy loss of his beloved. Larswith's similar appearance, demeanor, and skills of her mother were too much for Rynold to handle and ended up pushing the young girl more and more distantly away from him.  He eventually became verbally abusive and only occasionally physically so when especially intoxicated.
<center>''"The first serving of jerky is always free. That's just good business."''</center>

Since her discharge from the Twin Adders about 12 years prior, Kasi has been self-employed as a contractor doing a fairly wide array of jobs, ranging from delivery to guard escort to bounty hunting. As long as the job has her traveling, there’s not much her fairly loose morals will bar her from doing if hired- the gil is just an added bonus. Even then, she does have her own personal code of ethics that she will not compromise even for a hefty weight in gil. She prides herself on her word, and won’t break her oath to anyone if she makes a promise. She also outright refuses to take any jobs that involve a Miqo’te target, as she intensely detests seriously fighting against her own kin. More than anything else, Kasi thirsts for challenge and competition when it comes to her work, and it drives her forward passionately even in the face of failure.
+
Rynold built up a sizable gambling debt to a group known as the Mischief's coven.  Eventually, being unable to pay his debts, he indebted his daughter Larswith into servitude for the organization until her debts were paid. She experienced a great deal of hardships working for this group, but the worst of it was not far behind.

Today, Kasi still manages to spend some of her time running odd jobs and wandering the roads of Eorzea, from southern Thanalan to the northern wastes of Coerthas. She meets, and regularly trades, with many other travelers along the road, which has resulted in her having a fairly wide range of contacts all across the continent. She is somewhat famous on the road for her homemade jerky, which she often sells and trades. When not traveling the road, she can most often be found relaxing at the Mischief's Coven Tavern, and occasionally at the Shroudwolf Den.
+
Now, 16 years of age, Larswith worked the bar that the coven maintained as a front of their organization.  One of the members of the coven found out about the girl's father and took matters into his own hands, killing Rynold.  This left Larswith with nothing left in the world outside of the Coven she was now more-or-less enslaved to. Heeding her mother's advice to always do your best regardless of the situation and to never, ever give up; Larswith dug deep down and started performing above and beyond the directions of her masters. Through sheer hard work and dedication she was able to earn enough respect to gain the eyed of the heads of the organization and was soon in training to become more.

Larswith was trained heavily to increase her physical strength, speed, and eventually her stamina and endurance.  Over quite a sizable amount of time the girl was turned from an 80 pound emaciated frail child into a muscular, imposing, 145 pound predator.  Her hard work paid off and has now become a full-fledged member of the coven that she was originally sold to.
<center>''"Nobody else cooks with or even touches that smoker. That's sacred ground for me."''</center>

As a former Twin Adder as well as tribal Keeper, Kasi is well-versed in wilderness survival and revels in the opportunity to travel the world and live off the land, along with the sense of freedom that brings. She even enjoys the chance to sleep wherever she can find solace, whether it be in a tent, a cave, or simply under the stars against a tree. Kasi is something of a grilling enthusiast and it would be a challenge to find her without her trusty cast-iron skillet close at hand. She also has access to a large smoker that was purchased for her by her clan, which she uses to mass produce her fairly famous homemade jerky. She also has a particular love of arm-wrestling, as well as any other strength-oriented games, and has a adoration for the art of bouting with anyone she can find who is willing. Kasi spends a fair amount of time staying in shape by running in the mornings in full armor and practicing with her zweihander against training dummies. Lately, she has started 'reading' children's books as she struggles to learn to read.

<center>''"C'mon, Reaver! Let's go!"''</center>

'Reaver' is a snow-white Gridanian war chocobo brought up and raised in and for the cavalry units. Kasi and Reaver met for the first time several years into Kasi's tour of duty with the Twin Adders, and the two increasingly saw action together for patrols and border skirmishes during the escalating conflict with Garlemald. Originally, Reaver was on-loan to Kasi as standard-issue equipment for her unit, and while their first few missions together were fraught with friction, their bond was ultimately forged in war. When Kasi was honorably discharged after her five years of service with the Twin Adders, she was able to negotiate taking ownership of Reaver in lieu of pay. Reaver still dons his original Gridanian barding, although it has become somewhat patchwork over the years. Thanks in large part to Reaver, Kasi was able to make it along the road as a wandering mercenary and trader.

While Reaver can be finicky, eccentric, and even stupid at times, he does not scare easily and tends to be aggressive toward anyone he doesn't know- qualities for which he is prized. He is primarily fed greens and has a particular fondness of jerky as a special treat. He can often be found at Kasi's side when she is on foot and even at her side when in battle. As a trained Gridanian war chocobo, Reaver can be especially dangerous to foes in close quarters, and he also is able to use a few limited spells to support his owner.

Having been taught heavily by her mother in the kitchen, cooking is one of the few things Larswith has to remember Annadyn by. As such, she takes her cooking fairly seriously.  Outside of her time in front of the stove, she spends most of her free time reading, training, or speaking with the limited few she considers friends. She also has a, perhaps odd, interest in Miqo'te tribal culture.  It seems she might be looking for a clan to fill in the holes left by the death of her parents.

Attributes

Larswith has a strong athletic build born from harsh levels of training. Where her strength is considerable for her height and build, her speed is where she truly shines. Where some would perhaps move with a nimble grace, she moves more like water that has just burst from the confines of a dam.

Her temperament is volatile with her mood often swinging from cheerful to vicious and back again within short spans of time. Her mindset is often focused on loyalty to her Mistress and her family above all else, but there are times when the chaos within her head breaks free to unleash violence.

Larswith was privately schooled and educated and has a pretty outstanding level of intelligence. She only speaks common Eorzean, but can read and write very proficiently. She's also a fantastic chef.

Note: A rating of 5 is considered average for an average Hyur woman. Attributes range from 1 to a maximum of 10. These ratings are purely relative rather than absolute values.

"I remember when I was weak..."

Employment

"The Mistress first, then the coven."

Larswith currently works for the Mischief's Coven in a fairly undefined role. Whatever needs done at any given time is a task she might have assigned to her. Often she ends up standing about and looking imposing while meetings with unknown individuals happen in a back office. But if told to suit up for a fight, she will do so without question. Hobbies

"You want steak? I make a really mean steak!"

Notable Equipment

Item Description
Iron Skillet Icon.png Cast-Iron Skillet This ancient, heavily used, and therefore heavily seasoned skillet, is always ready to sear a mouth-watering meaty meal. It usually is left hanging off the side of her pack, and commands a place as one of her most prized possessions. She is never without it.
Mythril Zweihander Icon.png Cleaver This zweihander has seen a great deal of action. The pommel grip is worn from constant use, the cross-guard is dented in places, and one side of the blade has a few chips missing. Dull blood stains mar the surface of the blade in a couple places. The other side of the blade appears to be a false-edge. The weapon is always sheathed to her backside or nearby, unless she is currently using it.
Wood Zweihander Icon.png Wooden Sword This simple wooden zweihander is fairly basic, worn from use, and adorns a place on her back below her halberd and Cleaver. She must bout often with it in order to justify carrying it around, but occasionally she can be found without it.
Ruranfullmask.png Broken Mask This broken mask is missing half of the whole. While it appears useless now for the purpose for which it was originally created, it apparently carries some degree of sentimental value to the owner.
Eternity Ring Icon.png Liliro's Ring Although Kasi often doesn't wear it on her hand due to being in full combat armor, she always keeps this sentimental ring close. It appears to have been hand-crafted with loving care.
Wolf Necklace Icon.png Friendship Locket One part of a whole, this part of the locket has a small illustration of a stick figure of a Lalafell on the interior.
Antelope Horn Icon.png Broken Xaela Horn This grim trophy appears to have been lopped off a Xaela's head.

Notable Relationships

Name Relationship Kasi's Remarks
Rhela Nebuko Sister, younger "My dear sister. Although just recently united, I see a lot of myself reflected in her- silent tendencies aside. She just takes a little bit of time to open up. She's determined to get as strong as she can- just like I am. She even has her first girlfriend now."
Liliro Liro Mate "Never intended to have a mate, but here I am. It's nothing like I expected, but that's not a bad thing. She's independent, driven, and ambitious, just like I am- and I'd have it no other way. We may often walk different paths, but we always come to meet in the middle. I love her."
K'toree Tohm Adopted Niece "Met her when she was just a kit along the road. I took her under my wing and taught her much of what she knows today. She sort of idolizes me, actually- it's no coincidence she does her hair like mine. She's grown a whole lot since then, though- she's a young woman now- but I still look after her."
Besheke Ma'iingan Friend "He's one of my clanmates from back at the Wolves. He's related somehow to Red- and I can believe it with how abrasive either of them can be. He seems to be trying to shape up lately. Still, he's a good drinking buddy all the same."
Cohno'ra "Conor" Vukoja Friend "First time I met him was on the road trading fish. Since then, I've kept running into him over time, up until he showed up on the front doorstep of the Coven. Now he's not only kin, but also family, and it seems like he's aiming to be a boss of his own. He sure does have it out for Z, though..."
Delkan "Gramps" Lenoxx Friend "Gramps finally put his history in the open when it was time for his rite of passage in the clan. While I'm sure many of my kin have their doubts and misgivings since he's an ex-slaver, I won't abide them disrespecting him. He's more than proven himself to me."
Irr’hosha Zhwan Friend "One of my sisters from the Shroudwolves. She's a bit more tribal than the rest of the lot, but I find it fairly interesting myself. She's something of a shaman- caring, inspired, and driven. She even has a bit of a playful side to her, too."
Izrikairin Rish Friend "I've met him out on the road more than a good few times. He's kin, but frankly he's got a few bolts loose. He's possessed or something- manners and attitude can shift between one of two on a gil. His old family abandoned him due to his madness- so, I told him to come to the Coven. I haven't seen him yet, but someday I hope he comes around."
Kailia Greenheart Friend "Found her with Tyll'a lost in the Shroud- apparently her tribe lived underground and she'd been separated and can't go back. We took her back to the Shroudwolves, and she's become family. She's still a kit, though- but she's learning pretty fast and eager to explore and see more of the surface world."
Mikh'al Lihzeh Friend "I've met him on the road more times than I can count- he's a bit of a loner and soft-spoken to boot. He's a bit of a wilderness healer, really- but he seems pretty happy with where he is."
Nauta "Red" Lyehga Friend "She might have an abrasive personality and no filter on speaking her mind, but while others- even in the clan- might look disdainfully upon it, I appreciate her candidness and unflinching resolve. Red is a fellow warrior to me, and one of my best friends, at that."
Tyll'a Starr Friend "Quiet fellow, and rarely has more than a few words to speak at a time, but he's helped me out more times than I can count. He's always enthusiastic when put to a task."
Y'rhenasi "Rhen" Jadel Friend "Purchased her debt from another fellow for the bar- never could ignore kin in trouble. She's since paid her debt off working for the Coven, and she started tutoring me to read and write."
Z'mona "Z" Talmarin Friend "Met him on the road- ended up saving his skin since he had a bounty on his head at the time, and I offered to erase it for him for a modest sum. Sneaky sort- small wonder he ended up at the Coven in the end. Now he's kin and family both. He's also got some incredible 15-year-old whiskey."
Kazukata Go Friend, tentative "Like many others, I met him on the road as a wanderer along with Sahja. He's a bit more... morally upstanding and idealistic, though- I don't think we'd agree on some topics. Still, he's a good fellow, and he ended up joining Azeyma's Oath next door to the Coven."
Sahja Maimhov Friend, rival "A fellow mercenary- so, naturally, we occasionally compete for the same jobs and rib each other when we cross paths on the road. She's a good sport, and while I don't think we'd ever seriously fight, I find myself often looking forward to the next time we have a showdown."
Narantu Dazkar Rival "Like two old warriors fighting on opposing sides of a war, we respect each other- and every time we meet, we try to eviscerate one another. Neither has managed to succeed yet, at least- but that thrill... it's intoxicating- liberating. I don't often allow myself the chance to cut loose, but with her, I do. It'll be a shame when one of us finally kills the other."
Mu Dhoro-kahkol Business Associate "Interesting fellow- he's worked through me to hire the services of the Coven probably a half-a-dozen times so far. He's obviously got his fingers in shady business to begin with- but, he pays well, and he's discreet."
Hikari Miyuki Business Associate "Hikari leads Azeyma's Oath, and they're next door to the Coven. I've worked with her more than a dozen times now to arrange for jobs and extra muscle when they need it. We even have the occasional social gathering. I have to say, I'm pleasantly surprised there is such a thing as a pragmatic paladin."
