General Information

Lily has had a fairly diverse set of experiences in her life for one who has not yet seen twenty-five summers. As a young adult she was inducted into the Wood Wailers as a fledgling member of the Fifth Spears much to her father's delight, and pressed into service keeping the forest paths of Quarrymill safe. Surprisingly adept for one so inexperienced, she found herself able to keep up with most drills and exercises performed by the Fifth Spears. Her career as a wood wailer was not meant to be, however. During a fairly routine mission to cull the annually rutting antelopes on the forest path, she fatally skewered and killed one such antelope. As the light left the animal's eyes, Lily felt a profound sense of sadness that touched her soul. A few days later, Lily resigned her commission as a Wood Wailer, putting up her lance, still stained crimson with the blood of the beast she killed. The next few weeks saw the woman lost, wandering Gridania without purpose, until she was approached by Master E-Sumi-Yan, the conjurer guildmaster.

Sensing the turmoil in the woman's spirit and recognizing her inner potential, he introduced her to the soothing ways of the elementals and the healing power of white magic. Thus, did Lily begin her first tentative steps into the path of the Conjurer. In the years following, Lily continued to progress her skill to the point where she was recently honored to become one of a very small handful of non-padjal white magi. Under the careful guidance of the Padjali, she continues to nurture her mastery of the elements, though she still has a long way to go. Recently she has opened a small apothecary shop, where she uses the woodland skills she learned as a Wood Wailer to procure the herbs and plants needed for her potions, though she remains fiercely loyal to the conjurer's guild and treats the shop as a secondary venture.

Appearance

Lily has a somewhat average frame, very slightly trending towards the petite side. She is slender with only slight muscle mass, giving her the deceptive appearance of one who might be as delicate as the flowers she tends. Nevertheless, Lily has a surprising amount of resilience perhaps as a result of the many exercises she participated in as a Wood Wailer.

She stands roughly 5'2", and has long flowing blonde hair that carries way beyond her shoulders. Her soft blue eyes exude an aura of serenity, and she meets most onlookers' gazes with a hesitant, timid smile.

Cheerful and optimistic most of the time, she almost always has some sort of flower or plant adorning her hair, a subtle reflection of the type of spirit she is inside. Her attire is generally brightly-colored or comprised of pastel pinks.

Mannerisms

Lily is a friendly and outgoing woman, having grown out of her shell of insecurity into a more confident woman thanks to the support of her closest friends. Scarcely recognizable from the wallflower she used to be, she now easily navigates social gatherings without much issue, even tossing in a joke or two.

She is a dilligent worker, and maintains a sense of responsibility to her fellow conjurers or guildmates. Her calm and serene nature is contagious, and those who spend time with her typically tend to hesitate before doing anything rash. A nurturer by nature, she finds herself fussing over the most trivial of injuries to her companions and she can be prone to being a bit of a worry-wart.

Lily has an interesting combination of a Gridanian and Limsa-Lominsan accent. She speaks with common Gridanian idioms having grown up there, but also has a Limsa-Lominsan cant due to all the time she has spent around pirates and sailors in Limsa Lominsa.

Philosophy & Ideals

Lily is nonviolent by default, preferring to talk or bargain instead of resorting to blows. She is often quick to see the good in people, which can bite her when these people fail to deliver on promises or expectations.

She has a love of animals and those who cannot protect themselves. Though she shies from initiating conflict, she will not hesitate to protect those dear to her when they are endangered. Generally the only way to anger Lily is to inflict pain to her friends, and more than one enemy has been "thunked" by her stave for daring to hurt her companions.

Lily tends to keep dissenting opinions to herself, shying away from igniting conflict and is more likely to simply "go with the flow" unless she feels strongly about something. She is a consummate diplomat, drawing people together, easing the burdens of the troubled, and providing succor to the downtrodden.

Personality Tidbits

  • Behind the gentle smile and the petite frame lies a voracious appetite that puts even the largest Roegadyn to shame.
  • Lily is a true bleeding heart, often throwing her lot in with hopeless or lost causes.
  • She has a tendency to stammer when flustered or uncomfortable which can make understanding her difficult.
  • Lily has a tough time traveling by Aetheryte. Prone to bouts of vertigo and nausea, she would rather take a long walk home than use an aetheryte crystal right next to her.
  • Lily's tolerance for alcohol has slowly built up over many moons with her closest friends, but she still can over-indulge, making her a giggly goofy mess of a woman on those occasions.
  • Though she has done generally well for herself at her shop, Lily has trouble accumulating a substantial amount of wealth because she is always giving charity to virtually every cause she comes across.
  • Largely recovered from the trauma of her earliest experiences, Lily holds a fierce loyalty to her closest friends and family who helped to draw her out of her shell.

Strengths Flaws
  • Healing - Between her mastery of white mana and her many tinctures, she seems to have a medicine or cure for any ill.
  • Botany - Few in Eorzea can match Lily's mastery of plants. Capable of coaxing life from the most sickly of species and identifying almost any plant, Lily is rapidly becoming a prodigal master of plants.
  • Optimistic - Ever full of cheer and looking at the good side of things, Lily's positivity is contagious. She enjoys giving pep talks to the defeated and propping up hopeless people.
  • Empathetic - A great listener, Lily can generally get most people to open up to her about their troubles. She likes nothing more than being the one folks can be honest with.
  • Limited World-View - Lily is still learning of the wider world at large, and is often clueless when it comes to people, places, events, and history of anything outside of Gridania.
  • Overly-trusting - Lily is quick to try and see the good in people. She is almost always caught flat-footed in sudden conflicts and is willing to try and overlook even the most egregious bad actions by others.
  • Insecure - Though she has become better about it recently, Lily has trouble shaking off that feeling of being a burden to others and requires constant reassurances.
  • Loose Ends - There are many frayed ends in Lily's past, including her tenuous relationship with her father, her missing brother, and the suppressed trauma of her experience with Lydaea.
  • Possessive - Lily tends to be a bit clingy, having built a new life for herself with close friends that she cherishes. Failure to protect them or keep them safe would quite quickly shatter her world.
Fears Favorites
  • Lily didn't have many friends growing up and is slow to make new ones. Having already experienced the pain of loss, she absolutely dreads losing the few friends she has. As her closest friends are all frequently subjected to a variety of hazards and dangers, this definitely takes its toll sometimes.
  • Lily's only brother, Jeruh, has gone missing for several years now. Lily loved her brother immensely, and she fears she will never see him again.
  • Trouble has seemed to find Lily lately, including the voidsent Lydaea claiming her and the fracturing of a community that Lily recently called a seocnd home. Though she does her best to push away the thought, Lily wonders if sometimes she is responsible for some of the misery visited upon her closest friends.
  • Syl - Lily's pet bluebird familiar has bonded to her and is a constant companion at her side. Often seen flitting around her shop, Syl has become one of her closest companions.
  • New foods and tastes are one of Lily's favorite things to experience. She loves to try foreign cuisine, and would probably order everything on a restaurant's menu if left to her own devices.
  • Stories captivate Lily, spurring her imagination. She loves to listen to tales from other adventurers and often forms unrealistic expectations of places from the often embellished tales she hears.
  • When Lily is alone while out and about, she often resorts to drawing charcoal sketches of folks that interest her.
  • Lily truly enjoys the work she does and takes no greater joy than being able to demonstrate her profound mastery of white magic. Being able to alleviate pain and mend wounds is just as much theraputic for Lily as it is for the recipient.

Early Life

Childhood

Lily was born to the Wood Wailer Commander Kelvothan and his wife, Cecilia. She is the youngest child in the family, having an older brother - Jeruh. With her father oftentimes missing due to his responsibilities defending the Shroud, Lily spent most her childhood as a companion to her brother's various mischievious schemes. The two siblings were inseparable, despite the eight year difference in age between the two. Lily's first tragedy struck when she only seven years old, when her mother Cecilia took ill. Despite the ministrations of the best herbalists and conjurers in Gridania, her mother passed away one night peacefully in her bed. This loss was felt particularly hard by the young girl, as Jeruh also left during this time to begin his apprenticeship in the Wood Wailers. Feeling lonely and isolated, she attempted to make friends with the other Gridanian children. Perhaps in part to her shy nature though, she often found herself bullied and teased by her peers. Often she would be chased away to the edge of the woods or even beaten by the stronger kids until she simply stopped trying to fit in. Instead, she spent her time on the outskirts of Gridania, playing with the various critters that would happily accept the scraps of bread she would bring them.

One day while fleeing the cruelty of the older children, Lily fled deeper into the woods and got lost. Wandering around in what seemed like circles, the small child blundered her way straight into a morbol. Screaming in terror, Lily could only stare in fascinated horror as the beast closed on her, maw agape. Moments before the little girl would be devoured, a flash of white light lit up the woods as a winged horse crashed into the creature, battering it with its wings and bludgeoning it away with its hooves. Lily took the unexpected opportunity to flee. She would be found some time later by a Wood Wailer patrol, though they laughed off her explanation of a winged horse as the traumatic experience of a young child.

Frustrated, Lily would often go into the woods as she grew older looking for the horse that had saved her, though her efforts went unrewarded.

Adolescence

When Lily was 16, she formally entered the service of the Wood Wailers as a cadet in an effort to win her father's approval. Somewhat surprisingly, she was an able recruit, capable of matching up with most other Wood Wailer cadets in sparring matches and earning the respect of her trainers. Favoring the lance, she seemed to have a natural affinity with the weapon and often defeated other older Wood Wailers, which did nothing for her popularity among her peers.

By 18, she officially became a member of the Fifth Spears of the Wood Wailers. She became stationed in the South Shroud near Quarrymill and tasked with keeping the roads safe for travellers. During her tenure, things were relatively quiet, and so Lily spent many shifts observing and learning more about the woodlands around her. This fascination with the natural plants and animals of the Shroud grew into a lifelong passion that she still carries with her to this day.

Often left to her devices during offtimes, Lily spent a lot of time traversing the woodland and exploring. She discovered the hidden grove of Urth's Fount, where she would experience a life-changing event though she would not know it at the time. Spending time in the serenity of Urth's Fount's grove, she would begin to feel the energy of the elementals calling to her, tugging at her soul. During one particular such evening, she would experience a moment the Pad'jali call "The Awakening" - a moment in which one's spirit experiences an epiphany that allows them to better communicate with the Elementals. Opening her palm, she found a small crystal clutched there, though she did not understand the significance at the time. Confused, but otherwise unaware of anything changing within her, Lily would continue to meditate in between her shifts at Urth's Fount, slowly becoming more attuned to the Shroud and the whispers of the elementals. It was also at this time when Lily again sighted the winged horse from her youth. Touching down in the grove at one such opportunity, the creature allowed her to approach it. Falling in love with the incredible creature, Lily and the pegasus would share a powerful bond, though she did not tell anyone else of the creature's existance, content to allow it the freedom to live unharassed by the curiosity of man.

Life went on for the young wood wailer, though soon it would turn to tragedy. During one of her shifts, Lily and her squadron were sent on a mission to cull a pack of rutting antelopes that were running amok. As Lily and her companions engaged the beasts, one of the animals charged at her. Instinct taking over, she deftly struck and skewered the animal through the heart. As the beast lie writhing at her feet in its death throes, Lily felt a powerful revulsion that shook her to her very foundation. She fell to her knees, dropping her lance and wept bitter tears as the light left the animal's eyes, cradling the antelope's head in her hands all the while. Soon after, the other animals had been driven off by the rest of her companions - but there had been a cost to Lily's inaction. Arthro, one of her Wood Wailer companions on her side, had been gouged by a flanking animal and gravely wounded. As Lily looked up with her blurry tear-streaked eyes at her Wood Wailer companions, she saw only scowls and disgust in their faces. Arthro would live, though he would never again walk - his leg was mangled beyond recovery.

Lily never again raised her lance. Three days after the incident, she resigned her commission and returned to Gridania in shame, blaming herself for Arthro's injuries. Too ashamed to return to her father who denounced her cowardice, she wandered the city in a daze seeking solace for the turmoil in her heart. One evening, sitting on the outskirts of the city as she did as a child, she was found by Master E-Sumi-Yan of the conjurer's guild who had taken a short walk in the early evening hours. He noticed the young woman's inherent rapport with nature and recognized the potential within her for channeling white mana. Soothing Lily's wounded heart, he was able to convince her to return with him to the conjurer's guild where he took her in as an apprentice conjurer. Lily would later describe her moment of Awakening and show him the Soul Crystal she had recieved. Surprised that the elementals would select a non-padjal to ascend to the mantle of white mage, he urged Lily to keep such information silent for now, fearful of the prejudice and reaction others might give to the woman should they discover the ascension of a white mage given to an untrained acolyte.

Adulthood

Lily has spent several years in the employ of the conjurer's guild where she practices her conjury daily on those petitioning for aid. Having been blessed by the elements for reasons unknown with the rarest of treasures, Lily has only just begun to explore the power of the elements within her. She continues to portray herself as a higher ranked conjurer, and only her closest friends know the truth of the soul crystal entrusted to her.

Moving to Mist to better represent the guild, Lily was prepared to sorrowfully leave behind her beloved pegasus companion. However, unbeknownst to the woman, the creature unexpectedly followed her to her new home finding its own niche amongst the nearby La Noscean peaks. Lily and the Pegasi always manage to find each other in the wilderness when they desire each other's company.

These days, Lily owns a small apothecary shop that operates in Mist, where she uses the knowledge she learned during those long nights as a Wood Wailer to brew all sorts of elixirs. Her lance, still stained crimson with the blood of the fallen antelope, sits above her mantle as a reminder to her of that fateful day. She is often contracted out through the Conjurer's guild to aid bands of adventurers who need a skilled healer for their ranks. She accepts these occasional commissions without complaint seeing them as part of her dues to the guild, and an opportunity to practice her craft.

Recent Times

Lily's early adult life in Mist found her visiting local establishments and trying to broaden her social circles, despite her shy nature. She met with some limited success and soon became affiliated with a number of establishments, primarily the Whispered Wish and Reverie in Ul'dah as well as the Calamity's End in Mist. During one of these trips, she met the first person she would become close to, a woman named Reina. The two would become close friends and confidants, and their relationship would eventually blossom into something more.

Tragically, Reina's past would catch up with her, resulting in her abduction at the hands of her former pirate crew. Devestated at the loss, Lily set off on a mission of recovery where she would encounter many dangers and challenges. In the end, Reina would be recovered though she was never the same after her ordeal. Reina soon took her leave from Lily to travel on her own, much to Lily's resulting sorrow. Lily would find it difficult to reconcile this loss, and closed herself up swearing never to become so close to someone again as she was always abandoned in the end by those she trusted most.

Despite this, Lily would find herself spending more and more time at the Whispered Wish - primarily with a few patrons and courtesans she enjoyed the company of. Soon enough, the barriers would begin to come down and the white mage was allowing herself to enjoy evenings of peach wine with a group of close companions. Of note were the lalafells Zozola and Lalamune, the Roegadyn Bhaldbyrm, the Miqo'te La'nette, and the Viera Daerin. (See Relationships)

Her most recent misadventure involved the voidsent Lydaea. Having been marked by the voidsent while gathering ingredients for her apothecary shop in the Southern Shroud, Lily was plagued by foul magic and nightmares that rendered her more and more susceptible to Lydaea's insidious manipulations. This culminated with a suggestion that Lily travel to the ruins of Amdapor and open a sealed recepticle that housed the trapped voidsent. Sensing the large amount of Lily's internal aether, Lydaea usurped control of Lily's body from her and used it to cause all sorts of mayhem across Eorzea. Luckily for Lily, her companions caught wind of Lydaea's possession and were able to tear the voidsent from the woman, freeing Lily and destroying Lydaea.

Lily was bedridden for days following the possession, weak and in need of serious medical attention. With the assistance of the Whispered Wish's physicians, she was able to make a recovery though the after-effects of Lydaea's cruel magic would be felt upon her companions for a long time. During this time, Lily confessed her feelings to one of her companions, Zozola, who had risked life and limb to save her from Lydaea's clutches. The feelings were reciprocated by Zozola, and the pair became partners and lovers - marking a significant milestone in the young woman's life. Zozola is a much needed source of comfort and support for the insecure woman, and Lily loves her dearly.

Most of the daytime hours, Lily operated her apothecary shop in the subdistrict of Mist where her potions were in high demand. With alchemy and botany not so common in the city of pirates, Lily often-times found herself buried in work orders. Thankfully Lily had the good sense to hire some help. She hired on a shinobi-turned-maid named La'nette, and she finally begins to see her workload dwindle to the point where she can spend more time out and about.

During the night-time hours she spent most of her time at the Whispered Wish, taking her evenings in the company of those who would call the establishment home. Sadly, this was not to last as other events would unfold surrounding Lily and her companions that would shatter the peaceful respite of the upscale place, including an episode in which one of Lily's companions was assumed to have been killed. With death and destruction so frequently happening around Lily and her companions, it soon became apparent that the group was no longer welcome there. Lily and her friends resolved to start their own establishment, and soon the Purple Orchid Cabaret of Mist was born.

The Purple Orchid Cabaret is still in its fledgling phase of development, but Lily does everything she can to help it thrive, particularly because her lover Zozola is the Director of Entertainment. These days, Lily finds herself working the bar in the recently opened establishment, mixing drinks more often than potions these days. Together, they have carved out a peaceful niche for themselves, but rarely are the fates so kind as to allow such moments to last long. There is movement in the shadows, and soon Lily's world will be turned upside-down once more...

  • Zozola Zola

Zozola or "Zozo" as she prefers to be called is one of the Whispered Wish's hosts. Lily met her one evening while entertaining at the Whispered Wish and Lily found her to be pleasant company. Later that evening, the two shared two shots of the Wish's infamous Mystery Shots together; conconctions that induce random feelings and effects to the imbibers. When the shotglasses lay empty, Lily felt an intense fascination with Zozo, bordering on obsession. As fate would have it, Zozo's shot rendered her in the same type of state towards her, and they soon found themselves huddled together on the couch, spilling life stories. The two related their pasts to each other: Lily telling of her loneliness and isolation while Zozo related her feelings of helplessness in her life's future being dictated for her by her family. Though the effects of the drinks would later fade, the close bond the two shared that night would not and they would continue to see each other long into the night during future Wishing Hours.

Those familial ties would soon bind her, as Zozo felt compelled to flee from the Wish to protect her closest friends from her family's terrible retribution. Unwilling to abandon her beloved friend, Lily worked together with Daerin Roda and Lalamune Zazamune from the Wish to mount a daring rescue operation regardless of the personal risk. Thankfully, they were able to recover Zozo from a grim fate and spirit her back to the Wish safely.

By her side through most of her recovery, Lily spent much time with Zozola to ensure the trauma she sustained during the ordeal would be lessened as much as possible. Their friendship grew closer, and the two found every excuse imaginable to spend their days and evenings near each other. Many moons later, Lily would soon come under her own duress from the Voidsent Lydaea who subsequently possessed and stole Lily away leaving Lily's friends to believe she had died. Devestated by the loss of her friend but suspicious that there was something more to Lily's disappearance, Zozola played a pivotal part in destroying Lydaea's control over Lily. After such a harrowing ordeal in which Lily was nearly lost forever, Lily and Zozola both realized that there was more to their feelings then mere friendship and bared their hearts to each other. Professing their love for each other, the two swore they would be at each other's side through anything and look forward to a brighter future together.

These days, Zozola is the entertainment director of a place called the Purple Orchid - a cabaret and entertainment venue. Lily is doing her best to support her lover in this endeavor by providing a supplementary role as a bartender. Lily is only too happy to do this, giving her more of an excuse to spend even more time alongside her beloved.

  • Lalamune Zazamune

Lily and Lalamune are close friends, many parallels running between the pair. Sharing a love for reading, Lily and Lalamune struck up a strong friendship over several nights at the Whispered Wish as they would drink together and share companionship over many topics of discussion. Charming, smart, and a wonderful mixer of drinks, "Zaz" has become one of Lily's closest friends and confidants. The two's bond would only deepen over time as they worked together to save their mutual friend Zozola from a horrible fate. Zaz brings a learned perspective to Lily's relatively sheltered life, teaching her on many topics the young woman didn't even know existed, while Lily's unique life experiences have proven to be captivating for the scholar.

The two's relationship together has only grown over time with the two sharing personal worries, secret fears, and emotional breakdowns together. Lily trusts Zaz with all of her heart and counts him as her closest friend. Zaz and Lily are many things together: aetherical peers, friendly martial rivals, occasional lovers, and above all else - the dearest of friends. The pair recently travelled back out to Amdapor Keep to honor a bargain Lily made with Zaz prior to her possession by Lydaea. There, they found more than they bargained for when they found evidence of foul play. Together, the pair were able to reclaim the halls and find treasure to boot - a mysterious tome and scepter that Zaz has kept close to him these last few weeks.

  • Elia Nelia

Elia is a former hostess and entertainer at the Whispered Wish. Elia was instrumental in helping Lily overcome her social anxiety by carefully guiding her in matters of the heart and love. She taught Lily an important lesson: that in order to love others she must first learn to love herself. As the pair grew closer together, it culminated in Elia teaching Lily of the more... practical nature of loving others. Such lessons were the final catalyst for pushing Lily over the edge to finally defeating her social awkwardness once and for all. The two continued to meet for a time, Lily enjoying her newfound confidence and Elia's companionship. One day and without much warning, Elia departed on a journey for lands unknown - leaving only a final farewell message for Lily. Lily missed her friend and mentor immensely, but accepted her decision to travel in her heart. After many moons, Elia recently returned from her travels, marking one of the few times in Lily's life where somebody who left has returned. Overjoyed, Lily welcomed her back with open arms to their newest endeavor: The Purple Orchid. Elia is near and dear to Lily's heart and Lily trusts her more than almost anyone.

  • Daerin Roda

Daerin and Lily primarily met when Zozola was taken away from the pair by her family. Daerin's fanatical loyalty to her charge and Lily's devotion to her friend would see the two soon become friends working together to bring the lass back to them. Though the two were eventually successful, Daerin and Lily remained companions that had been drawn together by the circumstances. Daerin carries herself with a quiet confidence and commanding presence that Lily respects and admires, and she finds herself listening to Daerin's advice above most others.

Daerin has been brushing up Lily on her martial techniques with the lance, as Lily wanted to better prepare herself for an eventuality where she simply couldn't heal a problem away. With Daerin's assistance (And her friendly rivalry with Zaz growing), Lily's skill with the lance is slowly improving. Lily is happy for her growing skillset, but secretly is happy just for the excuse to spend more time with her beloved friends.

Daerin was instrumental in the recovery of Lily from the voidsent Lydaea. She contributed many pivotal attacks during the battle that would later help to free Lily though it would come at a later cost: Daerin becoming aetherlocked as a result of the abilities she utilized. Daerin continues to be a role model for the woman, being strong of spirit, will, and capability.

    Daerin's Bio

  • Bhaldbyrm Anch

Lily found a kindred spirit when she met Bhaldbyrm at the Whispered Wish one day. A giant of a man with a gentle spirit, Lily found that the two of them both shared the same social anxiety, especially when it came to matters of romance. Having overcome that same anxiety she now sees in the man, she finds herself doing her best to gently prod Bhaldbyrm along the same course. The two have become close friends, comfortable enough around each other to tease one another about each other's insecurities. Bhaldbyrm and Lily have recently begun to travel together, the man helping to fulfill Lily's dreams of seeing more of the world while Lily provides an often needed reassuring and loving presence to the man. The two's relationship has truly begun to blossom with Lily and Bhaldbyrm spending much more time together than previously, culminating in a boat-ride together to Kugane. There, the two shared a profound moment together that helped to truly cement the link between the two.

Lily and Bhaldbyrm trust each other implicitly and together the pair are a force to be reckoned with.

  • La'nette Eve

La'nette is Lily's maid and assistant at her Apothecary Shoppe. She is a cheerful woman, absolutely dedicated to her craft to the point of obsession, and excellent at her job. La'nette is wholeheartedly loyal to Lily, going out of her way to ensure that Lily gets ample rest and relaxation while in her care. From cooking to cleaning to fighting to companionship, Lanette does it all with a cheerful smile on her face. Lily did not originally intend to hire a maid for her shop, but when La'nette misconstrued one of Lily's statements as a contract of hire, Lily could not disappoint her when she saw how overjoyed she became. All things considered, Lily is grateful to have La'nette, the shop having never looked better and the volume of work once again within managable levels due to La'nette's assistance. Lily still struggles with how to handle the fussy maid, particularly when it comes to La'nette's pampering of her wellbeing. Lily's humble and simple nature sometimes leave her feeling a bit ostentatious when engaging in such indulgences as bubble baths and massages given by the maid. She does her best to oblige the maid during these moments, even managing to enjoy it sometimes, but the dramatic lifestyle change has been quite the challenge for Lily to grasp.

La'nette's past caught up with her when the Shinobis she was associated with came calling. Exercising a jutsu that wrested La'nette's will away from her, La'nette faked her own death at the hands of a shinobi. Devastated that she had been unable to prevent yet another person in her care from a grisly fate, Lily suffered a mental breakdown. Though she later recovered when it was found that La'nette had not actually died, Lily nevertheless has kept an even more watchful eye on her maid than before having grown quite fond of the miqo'te woman. Having come together over the course of many months, La'nette and Lily have a special bond that transcends that of simple maid and mistress - they now consider each other family.

  • Diana Galini

Diana and Lily met during La'nette's 'death', the two trying unsuccessfully to save the phantom maid. With Lily distraught and in pain at the time, Diana did her best to help console and soothe the woman which helped her to earn Lily's gratitude. Much later, Diana would visit Lily in an effort to procure some alchemical assistance for nightmares and trauma she had been experiencing. Feeling indebted to the woman for her early kindness, Lily went out of her way to brew and procure Dreamless Sleep potions for the woman. The two women slowly have begun to bond together with each empathizing with the other's losses and regrets. Very much in her element when helping to assuage Diana's mental trauma by both alchemical and aetherical means, Lily found herself looking forward to Diana's visits each week as another opportunity to both help her and get to know her better. Able to help mitigate the trauma Diana had experienced to some degree, the pair continue to grow their budding friendship together, the bubbly and optimistic Lily a wonderful foil to the quieter and more reserved Diana.

A carefree woman of sailing and adventure, Reina's stories of the places she's been and the sights she has seen have fascinated the otherwise sheltered girl. Lily finds Reina's lifestyle to be captivating and finds herself drawn to the woman in a way she finds hard to explain to herself. Lily often found herself spending evenings listening to Reina's many stories and enjoying her sharp wit. Lily hopes to join Reina on one of her next voyages someday, sailing off into the horizon in search of the adventures she has only read about.

For a time, the two were inseparable companions, spending time together and going onto adventures. However, Lily was most recently involved in trying to rescue her dear friend from danger when Reina got into some trouble with pirates. Reina was abducted one evening, leaving Lily alone and afraid she had once again been abandoned in her life. Reina managed to escape, though Lily had some dangerous experiences along the way. Though Reina recovered physically from the ordeal, she was never quite the same afterwards. Lily awoke one morning to find a note saying that Reina had left to do some soul searching. Heartsick, Lily ran to the Moraby Drydocks where Reina's ship the fawn was kept but the ship had gone, spiriting Reina away with it. RP Hooks

  • Contracted White Mage

Lily is often contracted out on various jobs for adventurers with a need for mid-level guild support. She is a competent healer, a pleasant companion if a bit quiet, and more than capable in her own right.

  • Need a Potion?

Lily is rapidly making a name for herself as a primary provider of alchemy and botany supplies in the Limsa-Lominsan region. Her prices are fair, and her goods are high quality. If you've a need of a potion, you've come to the right place!

  • Child of Gridania

If you've grown up in Gridania, and are around Lily's age range, you might have vague memories of her as that "weird child" or the "animal girl".

  • Wood Wailer

Lily's misadventure as a Wood Wailer is commonly known, especially to other members of the fifth. If you were a Wood Wailer in that part of the shroud, you might have even have been a part of the incident.

  • Sketch Artist

If you're lucky, Lily will take a fancy to you, and you may find yourself the unaware subject of her night's charcoal sketch.

  • Conjurer

Lily's is a mid-rank conjurer guild member and quite attuned to the elements thanks to her soul crystal. If you are a lower-level conjurer, she might have tutored or aided you at one time. If you are a higher level conjurer or white mage, you might have tutored her at one point in the past.

  • Out and About

With the assistance of her closest friends, Lily is taking her first tentative steps into the world outside of her potion shop. You might get lucky and see her sitting at a bar, or eating a meal alone at a restaurant she's never been to before. With the right approach and a little encouragement, you could probably open up a conversation, were you so inclined.

Preferences

RP Preferences:

I'm open to roleplaying with just about everyone - Veteran or novice RPer alike! Walkups are welcome and encouraged. My only three real requests are:

First - That you try to keep OOC and IC interactions separate when possible. I really prefer trying to keep character interactions in-character, and trying to differentiate when I'm talking to your character and *you* is difficult when someone constantly switches between the two without a warning. So trying to use "(( ))" tags when possible is greatly appreciated! :)

Second - I welcome almost all backstories and roleplays. If you'd like to do some sort of life-changing collaboration storyline involving Lily, please clear it with me first so I can think about the story a bit ahead of time and make it an awesome experience for both of us! That being said, I almost never turn down playing a role in your character's development.

Third - Regarding character relationships, while I am okay with Lily becoming - slowly - involved with somebody romantically, It would need to be something that would be built up upon many roleplaying sessions. I also want to stress that it would be strictly IC and would have it not bleed into the real world. Please respect that I prefer to keep the boundary in-game and will respond negatively if you try to make it go beyond that. Thank you! :)
