::Like Vairemont, Nellaure has a distinct respect for the 'old world' culture and ways. A practitioner of thaumaturgy, she put down her studies of magic when she conceived Trisselle. Unable to feel fully sated in her life experiences, she is pushy and oft transparently unhappy with aspects of her life that she missed out on, resulting in a great deal of pressure placed on Trisselle to accomplish the things that she personally could not. While she is more emotionally open, she is also brash, at times irrational, and possesses an underhanded cleverness that Trisselle would liken to Augustine and Stefan. Although she does not approve of Trisselle's independence, she reluctantly tolerates it under the accord that Trisselle spends her free time in the Twelveswood (read: where she belongs). Nellaure wants and demands the best for her daughter, resulting in an oppressive atmosphere disguised as maternal protection.

::Idristan has been a longtime accompaniment to Trisselle's direct line, though she remains uncertain of who he actually is. While she considers him something of a childhood 'friend,' as her elder, he's struck something akin to an older brother position, despite her lacking knowledge on any siblings. At the end of the first year above ground, Trisselle discovered that Idristan had been sent after her to tail her various exploits and plights, due to her secrecy. It is a known fact among Trisselle's direct line that Idristan personally delivers a report to Vairemont and Nellaure once a sun or moon. Although aware of his presence, Trisselle has never personally seen Idristan above ground and they have never conversed.

::The offspring of Augustine Frost and Trisselle. Although she originally had plans to seek the assistance of one Raphael from the Coral Sea affiliation to otherwise prevent Amaryllis's arrival, she changed her mind and instead retreated to her family in the Twelveswood. Despite her half-breed status, Vairemont and Nellaure are surprisingly protective of her, likely under the pretense that she serves as a reminder to Trisselle of the Duskwight's grand errors. Amaryllis is oft in safe keeping in the Twelveswood, but occasionally Trisselle will take her to the desert. Trisselle spends most of her free time with her.

::He was a handsome face and that was undeniable. Trisselle was charmed by him upon their first meeting, which she still has a hard time admitting to. He held her under a great deal of pressure for what he was entitled to by courting her. Uncompromising and stubborn, they clashed and he revealed that he thought she was a 'waste of time.' When he threatened to strike her, he set her on an unending fear that continues to haunt her to the present day. Although he later sought her out in Ul'dah for forgiveness, she declined from giving it to him and instead told him he had to earn such a privilege back.

::Having met him entirely by chance, their paths crossed when he was eavesdropping on a conversation held between Lyse, Master Garrett, Aerius, Zozomaru Roromaru, and Trisselle. Seemingly taken by his odd speech patterns and the concept of someone so refined living in the very desert, Trisselle was near instantly fascinated. Devereau seems to not only have a good deal of anguish in his past, but also many odd eccentricities about himself. He's fluid, graceful, eloquent, and wields a soft disposition over that which Trisselle would consider is the true nature of him. A consequence of deep conversations and Devereau simply being at the right place at the right time, Trisselle has begun to harbour the very beginnings of romantic inclination for him. Under the belief that she can not provide to him what he deserves due to her obligations toward Amaryllis, however, she believes it wiser to keep her sentiments to herself. In spite of the way that Devereau seems to transparently worry and care for her beyond that of a simple ally.
+
::Devereau found Trisselle in Ul'dah while eavesdropping on a conversation she was a part of. It started out as a friendly glass of wine and eventually spiraled into something she didn't anticipate. Devereau is a man of eccentric tastes and means, and seemingly familiar with either getting his way or of being in control of most near every situation he involves himself with. As Trisselle was neither convenient for him to seduce nor does she continue to provide a simple path, his investment in her appears to come from a sparked intrigue. When he confessed that he loved her, she reacted poorly and though she cannot say the same in return, she has agreed that he is of some import. Some of her actions around him have been unwise, leading to complicated aftermaths, and much of the presence of their relationship has been spurred by Devereau simply being at the right place during the right time while she's been emotionally vulnerable. Despite knowing vaguely of her past, Amaryllis, and the old world familial traditions that she's desperate to commit herself to, he seems naught but steadfast as a ship on the ever tumultuous sea that is Trisselle's well being. The extent of her sentiments where he is regarded is currently unknown—even to him.

::Aerius originally tried to play matchmaker between Garrett and Trisselle, but when it turned out unfavourably, the plan unfortunately backfired. Trisselle regards Garrett with great respect and tends to refer to him as 'Master Garrett.' Whether he wants to be a pirate or feign at being one, she tends to support his future goals and achievements. Master Garrett treats Trisselle with a good deal of respect and regards her abilities in the priesthood highly. Perhaps in jest, she's become his 'personal healer.' Several times Trisselle has put herself at risk to save him, implying an unspoken affection of immense depth for him. The extent of which remains unknown. She's tried a few times since her reunion with him to share her feelings with him, but somehow—ironically amusing—it's always gotten interrupted in some fashion. But to be fair, the ongoing jest is that Master Garrett intends to be married to magic above all else. In his most recent return, she finally managed to utter some of her sentiments in a cryptically all-too-Trisselle fashion, but he's grown apprehensive over time to even entertain the notion, making it seemingly a one-sided affection.a

::Lyse has always been something of an educational member to Master Garrett's social circle. While Trisselle originally regarded her with a great deal of suspicion, Lyse eventually managed to bypass that. Instead, she's shown herself to be nothing short of an enchanting and refreshing look at Hyur lifestyle. Having only recently begun to learn more about Lyse's private life and what secrets she holds in her past, Trisselle's outlook on her has softened drastically. She's come to enjoy Lyse's company a great deal and knows that when she is in danger, Lyse will not hesitate to protect her, even if she doesn't understand particularly why that is.

::Having met him during her pilgrimage in the Second Umbral Moon of year two in the Seventh Astral Era, she was near immediately captivated by him. A Duskwight like herself, he holds a surprisingly kind disposition and appears to be well-educated, leaving him a most intriguing mystery that she has yet to solve. While he yields a soft composure, he appears to hold the heart of a stern and firm warrior. A bit brooding and stoic, his well-educated background makes him a refreshing companion, though seeing him is an infrequent occurrence. Having offered to help Trisselle in any way he could during her acts as an emissary for Stefan, Trisselle truly believes she can rely on him. At least where information is regarded. He appears to be a most valuable asset.
+
::They met during the second pilgrimage she took after visiting above ground. A seeming soldier of great discipline and composure, Trisselle sees much of herself in him. Martiallais is serious, kind, and oft appears aloof or stoic. Surrounded by enigma, her curiosity tends to get the best of herself. An An Ishgardian and fellow Duskwight, his social status far outranks hers and she is frequently uncertain of how to compose herself around him. He seems to believe she is a 'Lady,' however, by her regal bearing and treats her as such—resulting in her own confusion and uncertainty. She knows very little of his past, but he has assisted her in the past, leading her to believe he is a reliable ally and a surprisingly open door to Ishgard's mysteries. Although she has not informed him, her family has taken a great interest in Martiallais's position and influence, convincing Trisselle to spend more time in his company.

::Renaud began as something akin to Trisselle's ideal man. She was conveniently charmed by his flowery speech and how he treated her to the point that he oft made her experience an odd kind of weakness of heart. Ever eager to please him, she felt shamed enough by her behaviour with Augustine and Stefan that in an effort to redeem herself, she took her leave of the Coral Sea ranks in addition to Renaud's company. When she returned to Limsa after a good deal of time away, she was shocked to find that Renaud had a mishap that left him in the body of a young woman. Under the belief he would be changing back in no time soon, he adapted to the name 'Renee' instead. Convincing Trisselle to return to the Coral Sea, she continues her attempts to give Ren as much of a way to be content as possible. Their closeness is akin to lovers of the hearts and minds, and if Trisselle is the princess, then Renee is certainly the 'knight' in many fashions. Although Trisselle would have no idea as to how to define their discreet relationship, she cares for Renee intensely, though she has difficulty expressing it. Having finally learned of Amaryllis, Renee has offered to supply additional financial stability to both Trisselle and her daughter at Augustine's request, though Trisselle has officially declined it.
+
::Once upon a time, Renee was actually Renaud, and once upon a time, Trisselle had fallen quite head over heels for Renaud. Believing it to be a one-sided affection, however, she kept her feelings to herself. Despite her unwise antics with Augustine and Stefan, Renaud continuously protected her and even to the present day, continues to do so. After she returned from the Twelveswood and Amaryllis's birth, Renaud had suddenly become Renee, through some grand convoluted mishap. Resigned to her new fate, Renee took to her same responsibilities as a leader and continued to provide to Trisselle a safe and secure shelter for when she was not travelling. Their relationship has a kind of depth to it that is not easily defined. It sits on many different wavelengths: sister and sister, mother and daughter, knight and princess, guardian and ward, paramour and paramour. If Renee was not in a committed relationship and Trisselle thought herself worthy, it's entirely possible that they would be more serious. Renee earnestly believes that no one is good enough for Trisselle or what she would require in terms of care and generosity and respect. This has led to the implication that Renee should step in where others cannot and be what she believes Trisselle needs most of all.

::While Master Garrett may have been pining over Trisselle, she pined over Stefan (also known as Renault), residential bad boy and all around just plain not good person. Perhaps she thought she could save him. Perhaps she saw something beautiful in his overall ugliness. Trisselle truly loved Stefan without feeling of obligation, but he and Augustine set a trap and caught her well. While she believes their only intent was to be with one another, she was placed between them both and felt she had no other choice but to be the person both wanted her to be—something that eventually went horribly awry (and wound up displeasing not only their trio, but plenty of other people who knew them). While their original reunion was a good one, discovered that he has agreed to marry [[Sasha Rochester|Sasha Rochester]] and that the woman in question does seem to hold an undeniable affection for him. To add insult to injury, Stefan even knowing Trisselle's affections for him, requested her attendance at his wedding. Trisselle loves Stefan dearly and with all of her heart, but finds herself in despair at a future that likely never was and never will be.

"I feel kinda bad for her. She's so nice and she tries so hard to make everyone around her actually happy she forgets all about herself. And she's proof that the world forgets about people like her, too. It doesn't matter how good she is, she still gets the short end of the stick." —— Augustine Frost

THE PAST

Storybooks tell often compelling tales of peace and tranquility and some with a jaded perspective are unable to believe them. Before there were times of hardship, there were times of simplicity and ignorant bliss. Trisselle grew up in a world where she believed nothing would go wrong. And if one were to be truly frank about it, she existed in her own world of dreams, pretend, and unrealistic achievements. Every day was a joyful routine and the phrase that implied good things always came to an end was one unknown to her. She had her parents, her friends, her people, and needed nothing more. Without interference, her life was a comfortable one, and she was too naive to understand otherwise.

The Calamity brought with it atrophy of lives, families, the clan in general, and all people affected by its catastrophic wave of destruction. Yet Trisselle was fortunate, for she neither suffered the loss of her family, nor was she separated from them. What she endured was the confusion, the lack of age and comprehension of why things had turned out as they had. For her special world of proverbial rainbows and all things good had evolved drastically into shadow and darker days. And in her childhood, she remembered wondering if perhaps they might never recover, for the agony and misery of the less fortunate left a permanent imprint on her mind.

For the protection of their kind, they left behind their homes in darkness, forced to make new ones in the Twelveswood. Trisselle left behind a good deal of her innocent outlook, forced to grow up a little quicker than a child should have had to. With that, however, came the desire to better protect herself and she grew to be the recipient of a rather blessed and privileged lifestyle, resulting in good tutelage and a proper education. Yet any of the changes and challenges she did face were the same as the others she knew and a part of her remained reassured by the very concept that she confronted nothing alone. In time, lands healed, and hearts as well. Memories were not forgotten, but rather those who survived forged alliances and kinships stronger than in dates passed.

Trisselle, still young, sheltered, and naive in many ways, made the seemingly brash decision that she could not keep herself holed away so much from the rest of the world. For while their people began to remake their lives and learn to dream again, she thought her hands put to better use in favour of aiding others. Against the protest of her loving parents, she pleaded for their blessing and unable to turn her down for she had requested nothing prior in her life, they reluctantly granted her leave. Although as she packed few things to begin her own journey, her parents reminded her to visit home often, and that if the world turned against her, she always had a safe haven to return to.

THE PRESENT

14/05/2015: She comes and goes as she pleases. Ever consistently travelling, it seems impossible for Trisselle to settle down and to take some time for herself. From the Twelveswood, to the waters of La Noscea, and the cold snowfall of Coerthas, Trisselle is constantly in a state of movement, making it difficult to pinpoint a solid location on her whereabouts. And yet, making it seemingly convenient for the common traveller to cross her path.

SIGNIFICANT EVENTS

ABOUT THE GIRL - PHYSICAL
Gender: Female Race: Elezen Clan: Duskwight Citizenship: Gridania
Hair Colour: White Eye Colour: Light Grey Skin Colour: Blue Grey Dexterity: Left-Handed
Height: 6 fulms, 4 ilms Weight: 162 ponz

Her features are undoubtedly young, though the specific number of her age is left to be questioned as it's information she appears to have no plans of divulging. Yet based on her behaviour and how she carries herself, it's a safe assumption that she has a good deal of youth behind her. Her smiles are often small and subtle, frequently bashful and often on the verge of 'meek,' but in contrast her oft direct tone makes it difficult to pinpoint what type of person she is.

She is about average height for a female Elezen and her physique is smaller than likely what's expected, implying her overactive lifestyle in combination with her eating habits may not be particularly compatible. She is not and does not look physically strong, but she has noticeable muscle mass in her arms and legs. The key trait she feels stands out most is the flourish black brands that cross over each eye. Her face houses a few lighter scars and while it's not something shown, she also holds two large scars across her right set of ribs.

From head to toe, Trisselle looks proper. Her taste in garb and style is not something she considers unique, and rather she tends to attempt fitting in better with what she believes society would define as contemporary. She has a particular fondness for tailored doublets, tunics, gaskins, and simple shoes, as opposed to robes or cowls. Comfort and practicality seem to be held in a higher esteem than physically appealing wear. She contradicts it a little, however, with the concept that regardless of the outfit, she holds a distinct likeness for earrings, bracelets, and rings.

ABOUT THE GIRL - PERSONALITY

Trisselle's etiquette and well-mannered demeanour is likely the outstanding trait she holds. While many of the Duskwight have gained a reputation for thievery and less than good intentions, she is—in some ways—very different from how the stereotype has been painted. Yet in others, she maintains and respects traditions and an older style of how things have been done (or should be done) by her kind.

While polite and oft friendly, it is uncharacteristic of her to be verbose or long-winded when she speaks. She prefers to listen, to observe, and occasionally can portray herself as too diplomatic, terse, or professional, indicating that she's not had a lot of exposure to people outside of her family and childhood friends. She does not make a habit of mingling with crowds and consequently gets easily overwhelmed or anxious in the company of a great number of people. Yet it's something she attempts to remedy by occasionally putting herself in situations that require her to be social or to be in the midst of many.

She is not very open about her past or who she is as a person, yet she has little difficulty discussing her passion: flowers. Naturally secretive like other Duskwight, she can easily come off as someone with ulterior motives, despite the idea that she is more likely to be accepting of things her kind normally wouldn't be. She is rather evasive when it comes to topics she doesn't care to dive into, but lacks the ability to create a smooth transition in order to avoid said subjects.

Trisselle tries to be honest to a fault, though if possible, she attempts to maintain tact and respect, regardless of the situation. In other words, concepts like anger are difficult to notice in her, as she tends to be more or less optimistic and sympathetic to the needs of others, as opposed to pessimistic, blatant, or possibly insensitive. Some could say she tries too hard to be respectful and it wouldn't necessarily be an inaccurate statement. But her intentions are good and she tries to convey that with both her colloquial speech and her actions.

She postures a lot, or so would say Augustine Frost, and he's not inaccurate. Trisselle tends to try to be the person everyone wants her to be, if only because she hasn't lived much of a life that's granted her the ability to find her own way. Consequently, her inability to please everyone can cause her to brood and judge herself more harshly than necessary. Although her intentions are meant well, sometimes she does not understand how insulting they are to others.

FAMILY
  • Vairemont Ganathain - Father
The epitome of traditional, Vairemont is a collected and composed man, not prone to emotional outbursts. His subtly emotive mannerisms are something Trisselle inherited, among others, through the desire to emulate him. He is a well-rounded individual and prior to meeting Nellaure had a great fondness for traveling. He cares little for society and possesses a vanity to be expected from a stereotypical Elezen. Although he was hesitant about it, he permitted Trisselle the opportunity to mingle with outside races and respects her need to be an individual as well as her pursuit of knowledge. It is with thanks to his entrepreneur background and charisma that Trisselle can live as comfortably as she does. The lack of luxuries in his personal life has allowed him to grant her a good tutelage and her entry into the priesthood. He is protective, but not over protective, and maintains a mostly understanding viewpoint of Trisselle's various plights—when she keeps him informed.
  • Nellaure Ganathain - Mother
Like Vairemont, Nellaure has a distinct respect for the 'old world' culture and ways.
  • Idristan - ???
Idristan has been a longtime accompaniment to Trisselle's direct line, though she remains uncertain of who he actually is.
  • Amaryllis Ganathain - Daughter
The offspring of Augustine Frost and Trisselle.
  • Odette Ganathain - ???
Who is this woman...????

AFFILIATIONS
Romantic Interest Platonic Affection Sexual Interest
Good Standing Poor Standing Neutral Standing
"Enigmatic and brooding, Aerius is a man I know better than to trifle with. He fills me with a curiosity that he never bothers to sate and with him, I feel I am in an ever constant state of paranoia and uncertainty."
Aerius had originally hand-picked Trisselle as a potential mate for Garrett Sancsaron and was responsible for bringing Master Garrett's romantic inclination to Trisselle's attention. He has watched her suffer through her internal struggles and reminded her to come to him if she should need aid. Sometimes he can be insensitive and too light of heart for her tastes. Trisselle once held a fondness for him that dived past friendship, but she respected him too much to pursue it. While she was under the strong belief that he and Lily Dawnsworn were to be an item, he ended up hosting a relationship with a young woman named Nylesa.
"She is very much akin to cold ice, I have noticed, but there is a quiet and elegant charisma about her. And when she smiles, there is something about it which nearly makes me feel as if I could very well blush."
Annaliese is the long-time companion and lover of Giselle Friloux. As Giselle has never hidden a particular fondness for Trisselle, it has (at least in the past) caused some slight tension where Anna's concerned. Trisselle has never had any plans of coming between them, however, and considering Anna is a Duskwight like herself, she's rather interested in Anna as an individual. Annaliese is very subdued in public, quiet, observant, and can oft give off the impression that she is not only a brooding and stoic person, but sometimes downright unpleasant. Trisselle is infinitely nervous in her company, but still continues to find her utterly fascinating and is more oft than not enraptured by her as an entirety.
"The past is generally meant to stay in the past. What he and I once were is no longer, and yet I cannot find it in me to despise him—even if he was deserving of it. I can only pray for his future happiness."
The man formerly known as Augustine and Trisselle have a complicated history. And yet it follows a cliché pattern: acquaintances to allies to something more. They were to be married when Augustine discovered she was carrying his child, but outside interference (read: Stefan Delumiere) put a swift end to that. When she left to tend to her family in solitude, he took Armellant Duval's arm in marriage. Although they have gone back and forth with their seeming 'dislike' for one another since Trisselle's return, ironically their relationship remains platonic, but is seemingly resolved of the former distance they once held. Additionally, Trisselle has agreed to assisting Augustine in various tasks—the kind she probably shouldn't even be a part of. She continues to care for him a great deal and genuinely wishes to see him happy, especially since she was not able to give that to him.
"I never forget his words of me or the way he had me wrapped about his forefinger. For a first foray into courting, he has left me infinitely skeptical and wary of all people seeking my affections."
He was a handsome face and that was undeniable.
"Lord Beauregard is a man who is grandiose and odd. His intricacies as an individual leave him not only a potential danger, but also a fountain of knowledge. Beneath his flowery speech, however, there is a vulnerability present. I wonder what it is that he is truly hiding from the world."
Devereau found Trisselle in Ul'dah while eavesdropping on a conversation she was a part of.
"A woman of a clear-cut strength and easy to respect, Dhemgeim was both frightening and heartwarming. Sort of like an older sister, if I knew what one was."
The second in command to Renaud in the Coral Sea. Dhemgeim was a woman with a good deal of wisdom behind her, complete with deep stories and experiences. Trisselle was very fond of her, but when she felt she had to hide Stefan's wrongdoings, Dhemgeim had always been quite clear with her disappointment. Although she walked with caution around the Roegadyn, Dhemgeim was extremely protective over her, kind, understanding, and left a familial imprint on Trisselle. She passed away in Trisselle's absence, something that Trisselle's knows she couldn't have pretended, but wishes she could have all the same. Dhemgeim's death has left a looming air of mourning and sorrow, even presently, over the ranks of the Coral Sea.
"Seemingly brazen, it was easy for me to see she held affections for Master Garrett the first time they reunited. When I see them together, I think of childhood faerietales."
A childhood friend of Master Garrett's. Despite knowing her very little, Trisselle went to her rescue during the infamous contract job for Aerius given by Stefan. When she went away for personal affairs at the beginning of the First Umbral Moon of the First Astral Year, Master Garrett told her that Emeralda had kissed him, leaving him confused as to where his romantic inclinations for her (and Trisselle) were concerned. While most potential romantic partners would have likely felt a great deal of disdain, Trisselle believed that Emeralda was a better fit for Garrett, yet it seems that was not meant to be.
"Intriguing, questionable, charming, and pleasant. There must be something beneath all of that. I am determined to learn the truth about him."
If it hadn't been for L'aenoh Tia, they wouldn't have met. What Trisselle thought would be an innocent beach gathering turned into L'aenoh forcing her to be more sociable and introducing her to Erlanis. Erlanis as a whole is slightly cocky, likes attention, and appears mostly unabashed about many things. Rumor has it he has a very pleasant singing voice, though Trisselle has yet to behold it personally. While they've not known each other long, Erlanis has made it apparent that he holds an interest in Trisselle that dips beyond the lines of a mere alliance. Not only that, but mutual ally, Staelufre Lysmerl seems to have developed an interest in playing matchmaker between them. Erlanis treats Trisselle with an unexpected reverence that not only stirs her in a way she's forgotten she can experience, but also with a great amount of wariness. Due to her track record with courtships, she's intent on believing he has an ulterior motive. In many ways, Erlanis appears to be a second Stefan Delumiere, leaving him kept much at arm's length. Despite her suspicions, Trisselle has offered to see to Erlanis's financial shortcomings if he should need it and she appears to genuinely care about his well being.
"A never-ending source of confusion for me. Who is he today? Who will he be tomorrow? Who is he, really? He is as much an enigma as I am, it would seem."
Aerius originally tried to play matchmaker between Garrett and Trisselle, but when it turned out unfavourably, the plan unfortunately backfired. In his most recent return, she finally managed to utter some of her sentiments in a cryptically all-too-Trisselle fashion, but he's grown apprehensive over time to even entertain the notion, making it seemingly a one-sided affection.
"If I was the princess, then Garrett was the prince. He was likely speaking in jest, but above all things, I trusted him to come for me if I should have fallen into danger. Nowadays, I would still come for him if he needed me to."
Trisselle was born to a family with no other children, but the feelings she holds for Garrett are equivalent to that of a sister for a brother. They share many similar viewpoints on the righteousness of society (or lack thereof) as well as lifestyles and respects for traditions and parental units. She had a very poor habit of meddling in his relationship with Augustine and as much as she didn't want it to be so, was only one of many reasons the two split up. Garrett interpreted Trisselle's silence over the betrayals of Augustine and Stefan as betrayal, mayhap never being fully aware that she was blackmailed into her position. Despite the idea that Garrett cares very little for her, she holds the utmost of respect for him as an individual, treasures him as an individual, and considers him an unforgettable part of her life and her shaping as an individual.
"Charming. Beautiful. Elegant. Giselle is everything I am and then more. Mayhap I should be more akin to her..."
A Wildwood Elezen, Giselle was among the first Trisselle met and earnestly liked. Giselle is oft-times loud and obnoxious, but has a delightful sense of humour and is excellent at listening. Keenly aware of Trisselle's poor history where romance was concerned, Giselle has longtime suggested Trisselle turn her attention onto women instead of men (with some agreement from Dhemgeim as well). Trisselle oft has found herself charmed by Giselle's companionship and frequently doesn't know how to interpret her niceties. Beyond her admiration, there's an envy that Trisselle feels that being more like Giselle could potentially be beneficial to her.
"When I look into her eyes, I see an endless pool of mystery. Stories talk of women who could enchant others with a simple gaze. Lily is good through and through, and sometimes I think she could be the very key to saving Eorzea's entirety."
Lily's demeanour has often led Trisselle to believing that she is the woman Trisselle ought to grow to be. It has taken a good deal of time, circumstance, patience, and educational talks for Trisselle to understand that Lily's path is different from hers. Lily represents a quiet strength and modesty that radiates such a purity that it seems to put Trisselle's to shame. In the present day, Trisselle sees her rarely, an unfortunate happenstance that affects the Duskwight more than she's even aware of. She sets Lily on an unreachable pedestal, but holds a respect for her that has no value that can be assigned.
"The woman seems brash and loud, far different from my calculating and quiet nature. I have never known what to think of her, but I have this intuition that says she will quite possibly ruin me."
Lyse has always been something of an educational member to Master Garrett's social circle.
"I cannot say I know much about him. I only know that he is fascinating in many fashions. This man may be dangerous, yet when has that ever stopped me?"
They met during the second pilgrimage she took after visiting above ground.
"I think... I thought he was my ideal man. I think about him a lot, likely more than I ought to. And I cannot help but wonder if he ever takes the time to think about me."
Once upon a time, Renee was actually Renaud, and once upon a time, Trisselle had fallen quite head over heels for Renaud.
"Did he ever love me? I ask myself that frequently and I imagine I will never know. Like Augustine, however, Stefan is a chapter in the past. There is no denying, however, that he helped shape the person I am today."
While Master Garrett may have been pining over Trisselle, she pined over Stefan (also known as Renault), residential bad boy and all around just plain not good person. When Trisselle received an invitation to Stefan's marriage ceremony with Sasha Rochester her heart was broken, for she'd believed and desired a chance to be in Stefan's heart once more, despite their past with one another. While she refused to attend his wedding, she still loves and cares for him to a disgustingly aching extent, but has resigned herself to the reality of the situation: the future she wanted with Stefan will never come to pass. Stefan is the only person to date with whom Trisselle has ever truly been in love with.
"I am not fond of men who think they can fool me. I am even less fond of the ones who succeed. Silonon is nothing more than a deceitful man who has left me only bitter and agitated at the mere thought of him."
A mercenary Trisselle met through Alexaria Whiteraven. In spite of her modest protests, he created quite the public spectacle and successfully humiliated her when he performed a dance especially for her. Deciding he liked her reserved spirit so much, he sought her for a few courting sessions. Aware of her distrust for him, he convinced her to accept no other advances on her heart save his. Despite the way he feigned a dedication to her, he sporadically changed his mind in favour of having a child with another. When she came back from the Twelveswood, she has yet to reunite with him and believes that is for the best.
"I have yet to actually figure this man out, which is ironic considering the amount of time that he and I have spent around one another. I suppose that guarantees that I will not be leaving him to his solitude for long."
Trisselle met Tayn loosely before one of her extended absences and amusingly upon her return, discovered he and Lyse had become an item, which objectively seemed like a rather brilliant match. She knows next to nothing about Tayn as a man, but in the same respects, he knows next to nothing about her in return. Yet despite the information that fails to pass between them, Tayn seems to know (and utilise) the concept that Trisselle will help him without hesitance, and in the same respect, Trisselle knows she can rely on Tayn. When he discovered she had no place to go in Ul'dah, he convinced her to accept Lily's hospitality on her stays. His influence may not be grand in abundance, but it's certainly present. Trisselle finds herself strangely calm in his presence, though he isn't one of her own kind.

RUMOURS - COMMON
"She always delivers flowers with a smile that you would think nothing was ever wrong. It's a shame those aren't easily contagious, but when she's around, it almost seems plausible."

"I'm pretty sure I heard her talking to the birds when she came in. She really gives a whole new definition to 'communing with nature.' Truth be told, it was pretty weird, but from head-to-toe, she's a fairly odd girl."

"She's obsessed with keeping herself clean. I once watched her talking with some people and counted her brushing herself off about eighteen times in the span of one hour. Not sure what she thought she was touching, but maybe it's a nervous tic. I can guarantee no dust threatened her when she took her leave."

RUMOURS - UNCOMMON
"Don't think she sleeps. Girl `ad her face in a book when I went to bed and the next morning when the sun came up, she'd not moved from her spot. Must've been a really good book."

"The girl doesn't eat much, I noticed. Watched her pick at her food once. By the end of things, she'd moved everything to make it look like she'd eaten more than she had. Sneaky little chinchilla she is."

"She's always on the go. Like she has somewhere she needs to be. One moment, she'll be right there—and she's hard to miss—and the next, she'll be gone, leaving me wondering when she ever just takes the time to stop and relax."

RUMOURS - RARE
"Little lady seems to have a gathering of admirers. Hyurs, Miqo'te, Elezen. It's not uncommon to see her in the company of men—and some of them have had downright terrible reputations. Her expression's always different with a different man, though. Just what is she trying to do?"

"Heard she came to Coerthas to see the Ishgardian dignitary. She was downright distraught when she discovered he had already relocated himself to the Holy See, however. I am fairly certain I heard a wistful sigh as she turned to leave the settlement."

"She never flinches at the sight of blood, but I saw her face once and it was like looking at a child who lost her mother. I guess she really is capable of expressing some emotion."

RUMOURS - PLAYER-BASED
"She carries herself with the elegance you'd expect from her people, a nice smile and a kind disposition, it seems."

—— Alexaria Whiteraven

"Observing others is one way to learn the nuances of the world...of society, but it is not the end all/be all. I can only show her the Path. She must be the one to walk through it."
—— Lily Dawnsworn

"Y'know she's a hyur, now? Man. S'crazy. Oh, uh—she's nice. Probably too nice for her own good. She's going to get herself killed trying to save my ass one of these days. Also, I don't like that she's taller than me."
—— Aerius Destroven

"Though my interactions with her have been few, I can say that despite her seeming disbelief in her own abilities, she is far more capable than some of the boasting dicks I've met in the Hourglass. She has qualities about her that most people will never touch on, and some day I hope she sees that as well."
—— Lyse Crofte

POINTS OF INTEREST
Trisselle now has an in-character journal detailing her journey and experiences in Eorzea. — This hasn't been updated in forever. Who knows if I'll go back to using it or not.
I guess she can also have a tumblr. This gets updated more than her journal, but is still generally abandoned. Oops. — Same as the above. But it's cool to go back and read it anyway.

TRISSELLE TROPES
Actual Pacifist - Trisselle chooses not to use violence or force of any kind against any object, animate or inanimate. She feels it's against a personal oath she swore when she adopted the pathway of conjury. While she doesn't condone other people using it, she also chooses not to interfere to stop them if situations come to blows. That doesn't mean, however, that she won't try to diplomatically talk things down.
Apologises a Lot - A poor habit, admittedly. Trisselle dislikes the idea of even potentially offending someone and she gets a little melodramatic when it comes to how often she offers apologies—even for things that are out of her control.
Beware the Nice Ones - It takes a lot for her to lose her temper and even when she's on the brink of it, she must know what she's capable of, for she's more likely to walk away from a situation instead of really spelling things out. Once Augustine mocked her over her naivety and she beat him in the face with a mug. Push her past the breaking point, and she'll willingly demonstrate why she's so confident in her skills.
Cute Bookworm - She likes to read. A lot. And most of the time when she's bothered by something or left to her solitude, her nose is firmly pressed into a book.
Did You think I can't Feel? - Her lack of experience in the world outside of the caverns in the Twelveswood paints Trisselle as sometimes being too subtle or lacking the ability to better express her feelings when she has them. She's the sort to let most things go without giving her opinion, and to some degree suffers a lack of assertion.
Elective Mute - Speak when spoken to. Children should be seen and not heard. Trisselle finds that she learns more when she listens than when she speaks. If she's talking, it's usually because she's making a point or she's saying what she feels needs to be said.
Forgets to Eat - Trisselle has horrible eating habits from being so wrapped up in situations around her to simply not wanting to eat in general. The only people who've seen her eat in person aside from her family are Damien, Augustine, and Renault.
Friendless Background - Although she grew up with friends and family, after the Calamity struck, Trisselle deliberately distanced herself from people. And once she made the decision to leave the Twelveswood, she chose a life of solitude for herself and in the present day still prefers her company to that of others.
Grass is Greener - She doesn't dislike the Elezen. In fact, she has a lot of pride for her heritage and clan. What she doesn't like is how it seems to stifle her relationships with other races due to tradition and lack of open-minded approach. Consequently, her curiosities and desires to experience a better life—the Hyur life—resulted in the Hyur Plot.
Hates Being Touched - Duskwight (and Elezen in general) commonly have a plethora of vanity, feeling a great deal of superiority to other races, something that started before Trisselle's birth and still continues in present day. Trisselle's lack of comfort with having people in her physical proximity does seem to be stemmed from a psychological fear that somehow forming connections of the sort will render her weak or somehow less than 'superior.'
I Am What I Am - The lesson learned. Trisselle's gifts, personality, and self as an entirety is an individual she must discover is better than tolerable or acceptable. Her traits make her an undeniably unique woman and not someone to either be underestimated or undervalued.
Must Make Amends - The harsh discovery that she once rendered herself incomplete, Trisselle acknowledged that her desire to be someone other than herself consequently stirred up a lot of regret and remorse. When she regained her true self, she understood the value of herself as a person.
Nature Lover - From rains to snow, sunny days and the darkest nights, she loves all things nature related. She's the type to get caught up in watching rivers from a bridge for hours, or laying down in a field of flowers for no good reason other than to take a nap in them. She feels most at peace when surrounded by fields, trees, the ocean, sandy shores, and other locales not populated by buildings, houses, or gaggles of people.
Plain Jane - Trisselle doesn't seem to understand what it is other people see in her. The first time Aerius called her 'pretty' she was bemused and perplexed. She thinks in comparison to others of her kind and even the Hyur that she's rather plain.
Skilled, but Naive - The epitome of the Elezen-turned-Hyur. Trisselle has a great capacity for learning and picks up on things quickly, but while her words and actions sometimes paint her as a wise woman, she knows very little about the real world. A consequence of growing up in an often overprotected and sheltered family, she lacks the ability to properly judge people as well as situations.
What is this Feeling? - Befriending Garrett, Augustine, Aerius, Lily, the Restless Road mercantile, and the others, Trisselle has stumbled upon the very sentiment of forming connections with others in familial, friendship, and romantic inclinations. But it's all new to her and frequently, she's unable to properly put her feelings into words.

TRIVIA (THE THINGS YOU WANT TO KNOW)
It is excessively rare for Trisselle to introduce herself with her given and family name. The only people who currently know her as 'Trisselle Ganathain' are some members of the Coral Sea, Augustine, Stefan, Garrett, Cornelius Frost, and Master Garrett. Her other friends and allies only know her as 'Trisselle' or 'Triss.'
She really does not like being called 'Triss.'
Lady Dhem began an ongoing jest that Trisselle was a princess when she misheard the Elezen's induction to the ranks of the Coral Sea. Since then, Trisselle adopted the lovingly joking title of 'Princess' in place of 'priestess.'
While she does not give her age out, Trisselle is actually 23. Her birthday is the 23rd Day of the Fourth Umbral Moon (August 23).
Trisselle's hair colour is naturally white. Aerius convinced her during the Hyur Plot to have it dyed a maroon / burgundy colour. Although she kept it for some time after regaining her true form, Trisselle later changed her hair to black in hopes of a self-image change. When she returned to the Twelveswood for the sake of Amaryllis, her hair also returned to white. Her hair is currently black with highlights of red, if only for the sake of a personal change.
She frequents the Sanctum of the Twelve in the Shroud with offerings for Menphina, where those there still refer to her as 'Priestess Ganathain of the White.'
Trisselle has also studied a little in the history and development of black magic, though her knowledge is very sparse. She occasionally takes tutelage from Lady Mylla in Ul'dah for swordplay at Garrett's suggestion.
Her favourite colour is violet.
She has a young dodo as a pet who stays in the Twelveswood with her family. So taken was she by meeting Stefan (Renault at the time), that she named the dodo 'Ren.'
She also has an antisocial chocobo who doesn't come around frequently named Artoirel. He's not the friendliest bird, but he's reliable when she needs him to be.
Trisselle loves the rain. What she doesn't love is lightning.
She seems like the kind of girl who could sing and have woodland animals flock to her. That is completely inaccurate. Trisselle's ability to sing is atrocious (and she knows it). In other words, it doesn't exist.
She actually has a decent sketching ability. Along with her journal, she carries another [smaller] leather bound book with notes and drawings of Eorzea's various flora.
Trisselle likes wine. That is to say, she loves wine. (White, in particular.)
She doesn't care for inns and beds. Despite her blessed and fortunate background, she has a particular preference for sleeping outside. Consequently, she very rarely uses her quarters at the Still Shore.
She spends a decent amount of time cooking and providing food for the orphans in both the Twelveswood and Ul'dah. When Damien came to her for her forgiveness, she convinced him to donate a large sum of gil to the orphans in Thanalan for food, shelter, and clothing.
Trisselle's name is actually based off of two names together: Triss (an alternate form of Beatrice) and Elle. Roughly translated, Trisselle's name symbolises 'the girl who will bring about blessings and good fortune.' In the Roegadyn language according to Dhemgeim, her closest name would be Lihtleita, which means 'Light Bringer.'
Renee Becquerel and Staelufre Lysmerl have taken to calling Trisselle 'Unsynrael,' which means 'Innocent Doe.' It's a name that Trisselle doesn't particularly agree with, but she humbly accepts it with as much grace and modesty as she can muster, most likely much to Renee's chagrin.
Although not particularly vocal about it, Trisselle has a distinct fancy for Ser Aymeric of the Ishgardian diplomacy efforts. She knows nothing of the man, aside from his affiliation with Ishgard, but she finds him distinctly handsome, intelligent, and basically he represents what she imagines her fitting partner would be like.

RP HOOKS
If for some reason you are starving, she will most likely feed you. If for some reason you are injured, she will most likely administer to your wounds.
She is often found at the Still Shore, the meeting grounds for the Coral Sea association. She is also occasionally at the Nervecentre, the refugee shelter run by Lily Dawnsworn and Tayn Zolin.
She once spent an alarming amount of time in Augustine Frost's company along with Stefan "Renault" Delumiere, despite their questionable reputations. Nowadays, not so much.
When not in the Twelveswood for familial purposes, Trisselle spends a decent amount of time at the Holy See of Ishgard or in other habitats around Coerthas.
As of recent, she has commonly been seen in the company of Devereau Beauregard, infinitely captivated by his odd antics.
