Affiliation Yalmawt, Maelstrom (formerly), Independent (formerly) Deity Menphina, The Lover GENERAL INFORMATION Eiman Rose (Pronunciation: eye-men rose), A Miqo'te Seeker of the Sun, born unto the 15th sun of the first umbral moon, patron of the deity Menphina, The Lover is a young Gladiator, Conjurer, and aspiring Paladin. He is on a quest for vengeance, seeking out the mysterious syndicate that staged a landslide on the sun of his seventeenth cycle, killing his family and destroying the home they'd built together following their Exile from the Drake Tribe, ten cycles prior. The man's motivations are complex, and they have become severely warped during his time spent in the city of Ul'dah. Eiman left home the same day of the disaster, and once he arrived at the Steps, he initiated a self-led campaign against the criminal underbelly in the city. Over four years under the moniker, "White Death' Eiman singlehandedly cut down hundreds of the criminal organizations operating out of Ul'dah and the surrounding deserts of Thanalan. However, having made little progress towards locating the people that carried out the assassination of his family, he grew tired and fell into the bottle. His health deteriorated as he continued to abuse liquor more and more until a chance meeting in the Ruby Market at the tail end of a bender had him cross paths with two members of The Maelstrom 81st Foreign Levy. The resulting drunken altercation ended with a stolen Garlond Ironworks airship, and a tendered application to request his joining the ranks of the renowned Free Company. APPEARANCE Eiman stands five fulms, eight ilms towering over a majority of his kin. His black hair is short, neat, and styled which is a direct contradiction to his wildly long and fluffy tail. His complexion is clear, and his eyes are an icy white that compliment his trademark cold stare. Eiman takes pride in his routine and is strict with his hygiene. His eyebrows are neatly trimmed, and his eyelashes are managed and full, and his tattoos are only maintenance when they fade. He has a strong jaw, full lips, and a proportionately structured face. His body is healthy, tight and toned from a strict regimen of daily exercise sustained since he started training with his father at the age of seven. Eiman is not someone who pays mind to fashion, and either wears functional clothing when relaxing or very formal attire if it is necessary to appear professional. PERSONALITY Aloof. Sagacious. Volatile. Eiman's personality fluctuates frequently and adapts in consideration to the contemporary circumstances surrounding him. As a baseline, Eiman is distant, thinking, and formal. He could be considered a stoic individual if it weren't for the fact his flaring temper often shatters his frame in interactions causing rage to bubble to the surface quickly. On other occasions, he has proven to be thoughtful, inquisitive, and courteous. It's a side of him only a handful of individuals have had the opportunity to experience due to his unfortunate circumstances surrounding his arrival to the 81st Foreign Levy. With the people he loves and cares for, Eiman is tender, protective, and passionate. The only beating heart that's experienced a loving Eiman is Hawu, his unrequited. Though, with all the positive characteristics that inhabit him a myriad of troubling, negative ones also infest his conversations. Eiman can be mean-spirited, argumentative, cold, ruthless, temperamental, prejudice, and extremely manipulative. LIKES Chilled Red Wine. To a fault, Eiman is infatuated with the taste of wine and the buzz that follows it after drinking several bottles. Hawu. His only living 'family', childhood friend, and unrequited love. Children. Eiman has shown softness around babes and toddlers. Most notably, he sang a song for R'miah's child and comforted them after learning the fate of their blood Mother. Arts. Eiman values expression as his mother did. You might catch him singing, drawing, and writing by his lonesome. Some even say he performs at the various Taverns around Thanalan under an alias. DISLIKES Injustice. Criminals, thugs, thieves, predatory merchants, corrupt guards, and shadowy organizations are all things Eiman strives to eliminate from Eorzea. Flamboyancy. Loud and eccentric characters are one of Eiman's least favorite types of people to interact with. He does his best to avoid them at all costs. Wordplay. Even though Eiman is adept himself in the art of conversation it's given him a keen awareness of when someone is attempting to talk themselves into an advantage. He does not dance and will quickly become violent if the person he's speaking with doesn't 'get to the point'. The Tribe. Due to the betrayal and exile of his family by their former tribe Eiman has developed an extreme prejudice towards Miqo'te who hail from or identify strongly with their heritage. This was reinforced by how his parent's raised him having also been jaded by misfortune served to them by the Drake Miqo'te. STRENGTHS Perceptive. His keen senses allow him to gather relevant information about people, places, and things in the world. Additionally, he would be able to discern vital intelligence by identifying social cues in conversations and utilizes superior spatial awareness to uncover hidden clues about his surroundings. Adjective. Eiman is not easily upset or confused, imperturbable. This characteristic was honed through careful, diligent meditation from a young age and allows him to function at peak performance even when burdened by extremely stressful circumstances. Informed. Eiman is an extremely well read, intelligent, and learned individual. He spends what free time he hasn't dedicated to physical training to mental conditioning. He reads, summarizes, and catalogs newspapers, postings, and textbooks he finds and practices recalling the things he learns, and then filters out what's unnecessary or undoubtedly untrue. Therefore, he is tough to manipulate or catch off-guard. Prime. Eiman has dedicated himself to the combat art of The Gladiator. He received specialized training from his father, a former master Gladiator, from a young age. His practice was consistent and disciplined. He upheld the regimen even after his parent's sudden passing, and the perseverance has resulted in his adept understanding of combat arms and martial arts. Additionally, he has become very physically strong where minor injuries heal efficiently, and his immune system rarely succumbs to disease. WEAKNESSES Manipulative. When Eiman has a goal he is often unscrupulous with the way he directs efforts in working towards it. His methods have proven him to be an extremely reliable mercenary but have had lasting effects on how he handles interpersonal relationships. He finds it impossible to build trust in others and any connections he does maintain never move further than professional acquaintances. Grief. Eiman has lingering emotional trauma from the loss of his family that lies unaddressed. It causes him to keep others at a distance and has resulted in a crushing loneliness that ferments inside his heart. He compensates the lack of a proper coping mechanism by abusing alcohol and this often places him in unwanted dangerous situations. Vengeful. Eiman has an extreme compulsion to ensure punishment to anyone that crosses him or the people that matter to him. He remembers their misdeeds forever and does not rest until the offender is delivered punishment by his hand. Self-Preservation. Eiman is seldom willing to pit probability against his life and would almost never attempt to sacrifice himself to save another person if it meant there was a chance he would perish. This cowardice is most likely born from the traumatic loss of his parents and the events that took place during the natural disaster that ultimately claimed their lives. This instinct directly clashes with his wishes to become a famed Gladiator like his father. CURRENT INVENTORY This is a list of the items that CHARACTER currently is keeping on THEIR person. A Dusty Linkpearl: A Linkpearl given to him by Hawu shortly after their reunion. The communications have been severed since Hawu's dissapearence and supposed death. The locket is silver, and inside is a portrait of his mother and father. Behind the portrait is another folded up photo featuring Eiman braiding Hawu's hair during their first year living together. Armor of The Destroyer: Though rarely worn unless assuming his vigilante persona "White Death," Eiman owns a set of highly customized white titanium armor. Sword, Shield, and Accessories: Eiman specializes in fighting with sword and shield. ABOUT THE PLAYER My name is Joshua and I'm a Network Engineer by trade, and I love roleplaying games. I started RPing in a pen and paper format with my online friends at the young age of ten years old.
