Roswyn is an orphan, born in the Black Shroud to her mother that died not long after her birth. Her father is a mystery figure and her beginnings were spent fighting, clawing and stealing for survival before a tragic, yet arguably fortunate, twist of fate led her to becoming a more well-to-do daughter of Ul'dah.
Roswyn's current and true occupation remains shrouded in mystery with only small clues trickling out here and there. A select few know the truth but they will never tell. Who is she? What are her goals? And why won't she discuss them?

Roswyn is a light pink colored Miqo'te female with her hair ending in silver streaks and sliver streaks running through her tail. She stands at minimum height for a Miqo'te female. She is extremely small in stature but her body is lithe and dense, hiding an unseen prowess for combat. Her body is rather curvy where it counts and she has been known to use this as a manipulation tactic. When in the presence of company she is comfortable with, her ears and eyes become rather expressive. Her tail is downy and fluffy, slightly uncharacteristic for a Miqo'te.
Roswyn has a knack for immediately coming across as non-threatening and while this used to annoy her, she has long since gotten used to it. Her fragile appearance and demure coloration often give people approaching her a inaccurate portrait of her mind and physical capabilities. Roswyn will often let people carry on with this first impression, preferring to surprise them later if the situation should ever call for it.

Behavior and Personality
Roswyn has been told that she comes across as a well spoken, if not sarcastic, exquisite example of a young woman. However she does have a tendency to spoil this with her blunt manner of speaking. She will speak her mind and while she will do so eloquently she will not withhold her opinion either. She will often word criticism in such a way where one has to think about it first before replying. This is a facet of her personality that has grown over the past few months and something she has no plans on curving.
She can often come across as distant and almost calculating if one is paying attention. She will rarely initiate conversation with a stranger, unless they specifically interest her in some way. However, in the presence of friendly company she tends to open up, telling jokes and poking fun. She is not above taking a verbal jab or two as long as it is genuinely funny and improves the conversation.
Roswyn used to be much more of a flirt than she is these days. She used to love nothing more than finding an attractive, well spoken gentleman and conversing the night away, seeing who could get the upper hand before the wine or ale took hold. However, this practice now seems to bore her. She is seen much less frequently in the Quicksand and Drowning Wench now, though has become a regular at The Laughing Lady.
She is a Keeper of the Moon and while she knows little of her specific bloodline, she has recently made efforts to delve into her past. This research was mostly prompted by her rare and occasional tendency to fall into a more feral state. Only a few have encountered this version of herself and she intends to keep it that way. Though she wonders what lies in her blood that can cause her to have such animalistic tendencies despite her upbringing.
It's apparent that is well educated, bearing an analytical mind, though she can come off surprisingly naive in other arenas. In matters of the heart, Roswyn lacks much needed insight. She makes every attempt she can to downplay this fact about herself, using biting sarcasm and disinterest to deflect interest shown in her. The cause for her seemingly random lack of knowledge in this area is unknown except to a scarce few.
Combat
Roswyn has a temper and will not hesitate to fight if provoked. It's a trait that, despite her efforts to control always manages to flare up. She retains her physical combat prowess from her days as a bandit and thief, being extremely proficient with the dagger and bow but much less so with the sword due to her small stature. She has an aptitude for stealthiness, bearing the capability to remain still and hidden for almost hours at a time. This skill went largely unused for years though she has been practicing it's use once again for unknown reasons.
After her adoption, Roswyn went through intensive training as an Arcanist. She managed to develop these skills decently and while she enjoys reading about magic and arcanum, she could never quite develop a taste for this particular art. She does posses an aptitude for magic however and has recently traded in her grimore for a staff. Her skill is conjury is average at best, but she still possesses the ability to heal surface wounds. Heavy internal damage and the curing of poisons and disease still eludes her.
Her greatest combat strength, however, lies in numbers. In recent months, and especially after her kidnapping incident, Roswyn has taken great care to surround herself with people she trusts. She may appear alone but it should be understood that she is never truly alone. She does not often make the decision to engage in combat but when she does then all manner of tools at her disposal will be on the table. She will do what it takes to win, even if it means using manipulation, more deceitful tactics or switching and combining her fighting styles.
Roswyn will very very rarely make the decision to make an aggressive, violent move against another but when it does happen she prefers to operate meticulously, leaving no loopholes for error or failure. Once that point has been reached, she will aim to kill. No questions asked.
Occupation, Skills, and Pastimes
Roswyn's true occupation is unknown. If asked about what she does or how she spends her time you will be met with sarcasm or an evasive reply. Whatever she does keeps her busy though. She will often remark to friends that she is on business at the time but will never delve into details. Most recently, she has taken on a business partner but she has only introduced them as such to very few.

Family
Roswyn was born in the Black Shroud, right on the forest floor. Her mother died shortly after her birth and her birth father is unknown. She does however, currently have a man she refers to as her father though if asked about him she will evade the topic unless the person asking has attained a certain level of her trust through one means or another.
Father: Vernon Valhuri – This man's name is spoken rarely and only to those in a very specific circle. He is a vastly secretive man, his occupation, face, and even race is a question mark for most people. If you know his name then you may know a thing or two about Roswyn as well.
Player Character Relationships
| ●Ignasse Arbeau : Ignasse could both be called a friend and an enemy in many regards. The two share a strange antagonistic yet affectionate friendship, both loving to tease and give the other hell on occasion. Ignasse is one of the men that carries a scar on his face from Ros's temper. In retrospect, she has no idea why he chooses to remain on "good" terms with her but she is glad he does. She would never admit it, but she does enjoy his company, obnoxious as he is. As her life becomes more complicated, Roswyn has learned to cherish people like Ignasse more and more. | ●Arky Mosuke : Roswyn herself is still struggling to understand how she feels about this Miqo'te. Her efforts to explain herself to him often get interrupted and she feels her words fall on his deaf ears. Despite this, she still told him he represents something to her. Something that maybe she wishes she had in herself. She's recently learned more about his condition and the revelation brought her to tears. Roswyn would go to lengths to help and save Arky, possibly doing some dark things she feels he would never approve of but she wouldn't care if she could find a way to help him. She can't quite explain it, but she feels a need to protect him. And occasionally wield objects at him. |
| ●C'kayah Tia : This man. This damned man. If it were possible to love and hate someone at the same time then Kayah would fit this category. Roswyn has known him since she was a girl and their relationship was always positive...until it got complicated. In a lot of ways, Roswyn misses the way it used to be. She misses naively looking up to him and looking forward to his visits. Now whenever they are together it's some odd, awkward, frustrating hell. The tension in the room can get so high one can barely breathe. Despite this, due to their past she would go to lengths for him and the two know each other extremely well but Roswyn has concluded that distance and moving forward was the only way to deal with him....until recent developments turned everything upside down. Roswyn is still reeling from it. | ●Orpheus Arkouda: This man began appearing around Roswyn very often after her kidnapping incident. She met him right before that but she had rebuked his aggressive attempts at getting to know her better, viewing him as just another Seeker male. Fate conspired against her though and one drunken evening at The Laughing Lady and several walks around the Goblet later they had managed to get to know each other enough that he earned a basic level of her trust. However, with the quantity of time he's been around her recently one has to wonder about the nature of the relationship...and how it developed so quickly. |
| ●Keroa Mosuke : - Roswyn genuinely likes Keroa but with the way she has been treating her recently... In a way, Roswyn can't really blame her. She understands what it is to feel protective of Arky and the knife incident was just embarrassing for all involved...even though Arky did admit he was partially at fault by chiding Roswyn so harshly. Roswyn would never bear ill-will against Keroa for being protective but she would rather not have her glare at her anytime she is around. | ●Altima Zeroblade : - Roswyn is extremely fond of Altima. Truthfully, Altima was one of the last people Roswyn expected to visit her while she was in the infirmary but suddenly...there she was. It was a gesture that meant more than Roswyn is comfortable expressing and it earned her admiration and trust. Roswyn is curious about the nature of her relationship with Arky and Keroa, but not enough to go prying. She respects Altima too much for that. |
| ●Surilian Blu : - Roswyn only met her the one time, escorting her when she felt she could be in danger. But from what she has been told and what she has witnessed, she firmly believes they have much in common. However, because she understands this, she also understands how risky it could be to bring Suri close as a friend. | ●Kage Kiryuu : - This little lalafel has Roswyn's silent sympathies. She is debating contacting him, telling him things will be ok. She wants to personally assure him they will be. But it's not her place. Not yet. |

However, her recent behavior towards someone Roswyn values has finally caused her to earn her distaste. Roswyn makes an effort to not hate people in general, feeling it is a waste of effort, but if this woman comes up in conversation she will no longer make an effort to hide her true feelings regarding her. |
