Appearance Theresa is taller than average, at seven fulms two ilms of height, with ghostly pale skin, bright red eyes and red lips. Her hair is long and black, and her eyes are gaunt from a lack of sleep. Scars cover her body, mostly burns and a few claw and bite marks here and there. She keeps her hair tied up, and favours clothes in the colour red, and with recent events has gotten more accustomed to showing skin. Personality Theresa is a perfectionist, and it shows in everything she does. Her armor is polished, her spear is sharp and she carries herself with the poise and grace one would expect from an Ishgardian of high birth. She is known to be a bit on the icy side, and finds it difficult to make friends, putting duty before anything else. Theresa has hangups about her family life, and if one were to dig deeper, theyd find her workaholic attitude stems from rumours that the only reason she is as good a dragoon as people claim is because of her rather prominent father. She works tirelessly to be outside of his shadow. she has a gamut of psychological issues stemming from her childhood, and most people find her standoffish and mistrustful. She is infamous for her fiery tongue and lack of deportment, and many fail to realize she is of any sort of noble birth when they truly get to know her. Quirks Drinks what is quite possibly the worlds most repugnant liquor, and enjoys it. Cry to someone else. Awkward: Not the best at making friends History Title Becoming a lancer at a rather young age, Theresa of the Orycia family earned dragoon status relatively young. The daughter of a temple knight and aristocrat, she was raised in the pillars with a staunch belief in Halone and Ishgardian doctrine. Her father was cruel at best, and made it no secret that he resented her for being a daughter and not a son. Her mother cared more for her husband and her image than her daughter, and Theresa grew up with abuse and neglect. Her only comfort in life was her best friend and cousin Reilan. Though constantly compared to him, she adored him and wanted to be just like him. At the age of 11 she began to train with the lance, in an effort to be the son her father always wanted, and to impress Reilan, who is the heir to her family legacy. Her formative years, and subsequent early adulthood were spent wholly and completely dedicated to her craft, as Theresa gave up friendship, family and love in a neurotic obsession with being the best. When the other side of the Orycia family fell from grace, Theresa worked even harder to prove herself and her worth, eager to shed herself of the "unseemly" Orycia reputation, though she always harbored feelings of doubt in herself. After the events of the Dragonsong War, Theresa rejected all notions of who she was and believed, locking the family manor to go find herself. Moving to Kugane to start life anew, the woman finds life in the eastern city pleasing, where no one knows who she is, or of her deeds. Anonymity suits her well and Theresa has begun to find herself at peace, at long last. Current events find Theresa outside the gates of her birthland, exploring the world around her and trying to find out who she is outside of a pawn in a war that lasted a thousand years. Who is Theresa Orycia without her nobility, and without her lance? She would certainly like to find out.
