Ennara was born in the poor districts of Ul'dah. She grew up learning to survive on the streets until she was found, and taken care of, by a kindly Roegadyn by the name of Broken Wing.

Appearance

Ennara is a Highlander woman with dark red hair and purple eyes. She's slightly above average in height, but sports a solid musculature, honed by years of hard labor. She is rather curvy and accepts this fact, though she's not terribly inclined to play it up beyond wearing flattering clothing.

Ennara often comes off as passionate about what she's currently focusing on, whether it's a person or a task at hand. Interrupting her during this time is a good chance to get snapped at. Attempting to, or coming off as attempting to, take her focus from her will often incite a round of quiet anger.

Behavior and Personality

Ennara strives to do what she feels is right. This can often lead her to personal battles within herself when multiple options seem equally valid.

She tends to remain quiet until she grows more comfortable with the person or people present.

Ennara is in love with the idea of being in love. She falls hard and fast when she meets someone she's interested in, and takes breakups to heart. If she's going through a breakup, her emotions will careen back and forth as she makes an attempt to deal with further disappointment

Her upbringing and recent experiences have left her an odd combination of both openness and a lack of trust. She will tell you the truth, but she'll jump to conclusions if there's something that hints at disloyalty.

She has a strong tendency to overthink things, either getting herself frustrated with people for imagined slights or becoming angry with herself for perceived failures.

Combat

Ennara prefers to fight with her bow at a distance, and will use obstacles and the terrain to keep it that way. She will then, if possible, use blunted arrows in an attempt to render her opponent unconscious. Should her opponent manage to close the distance, she'll switch to one of two styles, depending on what the opponent is wielding. The first style, she'll abandon her bow and use an arrow as a makeshift dagger, keeping her other hand free. The second potential style is the usage of her reinforced bow to parry light weapon strikes while she, again, uses an arrow as a makeshift dagger.

Ennara has next to no innate aetheric control and she knows it. She has studied magic in an effort to learn how to combat it, but she knows it's unlikely that she'll ever wield it herself.

She prefers not to kill, aiming to disable or render unconscious, her opponents unless necessary. Should you push her to this point though, she will pursue this goal with a single-minded devotion akin to a fanatic. There are very few people who can calm her down when she reaches this point, though they do exist.

Ennara is a skilled hunter and a knowledgeable miner. She prefers hunting over mining due to the peace and quiet that accompanies it.

She loves performing for her friends and is a moderately skilled musician. She'll often bring her harp out at parties, accompanying it with her voice.

Ennara was born in Ul'dah to a pair of Highlanders who decided that they'd rather leave Ala Mhigo. Her father passed away when she was sixteen, in what was deemed an accident. Her mother is still alive and healthy, residing in Ul'dah.

Father: Adalbert Longaxe – Adalbert was a decently skilled warrior in his own right, though when he got married, he chose to leave for Ul'dah in hopes of giving his family a prosperous life. When his attempts failed, he fell into an angry depression and turned to drink to dull the pain.

Mother: Bergeta Thorne - Bergeta is an unassuming mild-mannered woman. She cares deeply for her daughter in her own right, but years of pain related to her husband has driven most of her displays of affection inward.

Positive Standing

♥Lyuri Felnica: Lyuri Felnica. That name will bring a torrent of emotion from Ennara, which she'll do her best to keep hidden. Her first love, whom she's having a hard time letting go, and who was once her best friend. Now their relationship is strained. They have both expressed the desire to remain friends, though perhaps it'd be best if they stayed apart for awhile.	♥Nesi Greene : Nesi, this tiny unassuming Midlander is one of the few to truly find her way into Ennara's heart. When they first met, Ennara viewed her merely as an innocent, albeit cute, girl who could be a good friend. As time has passed, she's learned that this isn't such an accurate assessment at all, and that Nesi has faced her own share of problems that Ennara can only offer her support with.
♥Skratti Bowens : - Ennara first met this young Miqo'te girl through the Free Company that they both belong to. She found out that Skratti was being potentially dragged into a very similar situation that Ennara herself had inadvertently been placed into. Given the circumstances, Ennara took on a sort of guardian role for the younger girl. Eventually, a mutual friend convinced Ennara to give dating Skratti a try, but personal choices and lifestyle differences proved too much for the Highlander to accommodate. Ennara still adores Skratti and wishes to remain close to her, though the Miqo'te has since been avoiding her.	●Argust Clow : - A skilled Thaumaturge and her superior in Eclipsis. They haven't spoken as much as she'd like, but the times they have, he's left her rather impressed. Particularly one night involving a Voidsent infestation. She knows that, despite Argust's reluctance to socialize, she can trust him to have her back if she needs the support.
●Roswyn Valhuri : - An enigma wrapped in a mystery wrapped in a veil of secrecy. Ennara knows that there's much more than meets the eye to this Miqo'te, though the specifics aren't known to her. What she does know is that Roswyn seems to put herself into dangerous situations that, while Ennara, again, can't say what they are exactly, she realizes that they're for the common good. Should Roswyn need her help one day, Ennara trusts the Miqo'te enough to offer a hand almost without questions asked.	♥Alexaria Whiteraven : - This woman was one of Ennara's first serious crushes, barring a few from her childhood. They originally met when walking through Ul'dah and happening across eachother in very similar outfits, the only difference was that Ennara's was black and Alexaria's was white. They decided to talk, to get to know one another. She fell hard and fast for the Highlander. She knew that it likely wouldn't play out the way she wanted it to, due to Alexaria's vow of celibacy, but Ennara's heart wants what it wants. This continued for a few weeks before Alexaria effectively told her no more. Ennara took it hard and drifted away for awhile, though they have recently rekindled their friendship.
♥Nazeru Auronas : - This is a woman who'll aggravate Ennara to no end. They both share a stubbornness that manifests when they think they're right. Ennara doesn't agree with a number of Nazeru's personal life decisions, but... still, the Highlander adores and loves the woman. She knows that despite Nazeru's abrasiveness at times, she can count on her to tell her exactly what she thinks. Their relationship has ultimately blossomed into a somewhat sisterly love, mingled with the occasional round of sexual desire. Ultimately, despite their differences, she knows that she can count on Nazeru to be there for her with what she needs, whether it's a friendly pat on the shoulder, a kick in the ass, or something different.	●Loronus Deatro : - Ennara doesn't actually know a whole lot about Loronus, except that deep down, he's got a good heart. They've had their differences, but at this point, Loronus has settled into the role of good friend and potentially goofy little brother.
♥Chokho Viqqoh : - Chokho, she's a good woman. Ennara is very fond of this Miqo'te, even if she thinks that some of her life choices are a bit away from what she'd choose herself. That doesn't matter though, because Chokho cares deeply and has dedicated herself to making others happy wherever she can. Ennara views this lofty goal with the utmost respect, even if Chokho's flirty nature grates on her nerves at times. Still, there isn't much Ennara wouldn't do for this Miqo'te, as she feels they share a close bond after Ennara helped her out of a rough situation.	♥Cassandra Lachance : - Cassandra is a very good friend of Ennara's, as well as a former lover. She cared, and still cares, very deeply for the Midlander and wants her to find joy wherever she can. She realizes that Cass needs things that Ennara can't provide, so she chose to step aside and let the woman pursue her own happiness.
♥Lilithium Altair : - Lilithium, Lili, is a woman that Ennara respects above almost all others. The leader of her company, helper of the poor, mother of half a dozen or so it seems, and still finds the time to help those around her with whatever they might need.	●Ludivine Goultard : - Ludivine is a bit of an enigma to Ennara, they've spoken a few times and got to know eachother decently, but there is still very much about this Duskwight that she doesn't know. Still, what she does know, she finds pleasant and friendly.
♥Vasque Desmarais  : - Vasque is, without a shadow of a doubt, the woman who holds the foremost position in Ennara's heart. There is nothing Ennara wouldn't do for this woman. They met by chance through a mutual friend and drifted away for an extended period of time after a single night together. Again, by chance, they found themselves reunited, growing closer with each day. Ennara trusts her implicitly. Negative Standing ●Xel'naga Trellvani : This man has harmed Ennara in the past. The details have become less of a guarded secret for Ennara than they could be, but she really only shares them with those close to her. Suffice to say that she utterly loathes him and, should he die, she wouldn't complain in the slightest if it were due to his forehead suddenly sprouting feathers due to a certain Highlander's intervention. ●Jilyan Sakura : Ennara had disliked this girl for a long time, due to a betrayal. Perhaps that distaste is softening a bit with time? Perhaps it's softening a bit as she watches her interact with others? Or perhaps she's just not dwelling on the circumstances as much these days. Regardless of the causes, most of Ennara's open hostility has vanished towards the Miqo'te, though she still possesses a certain level of distrust. Rumors Common Rumors Oh, you mean the slum girl who used to snatch food from the carts as a kid? She has a surprising eye for aesthetics, doesn't she? That woman's got some troubles, mind you. Still, she manages to look pretty cheerful, doesn't she? Moderate Rumors That girl knows her way around the city. I've seen her duck into an alleyway before, and when I caught up to look... she was just gone. Don't know where she went. I hear that an old Roegadyn took her under his wing when she was a child. Probably the only reason she didn't turn out as a troublemaker. I've seen her flirt with Hyur, Elezen, and even Roegadyn... never saw her display an interest beyond friendship towards a Miqo'te though... wonder why. Rare Rumors 'Whispers' I heard that her father's death wasn't no accident at all. The man was a violent drunk, and one day, just when she's blossomin' into a gorgeous woman, he winds up dead with a knife in his gut... makes ya think, huh? This woman is a lot more skilled than she lets on. I've seen her fight, never saw someone wield a bucket so effectively before. I've seen her go from happy to sad in a matter of minutes. Might have some sort of emotional instability due to traumas she's faced in the past. Player Character Rumors Feel free to add if you know of her! Chokho Viqqoh - Ennara is a fantastic individual. She's come a long way since I've known her, and I am proud to call her a friend. Kale Aideron - 'er, yea'? Yea', nice lass, she is. I mean, I would, but bloody 'ells it'd be in 'er best 'ealth to be a lil' more decisive... Lilithium Altair - A lovely employee of mine! I knew her when she was younger and she's grown into quite a beautiful woman. Ludivine Goultard - From a bad first meetin', I think it's fair to say we get along pretty well now. She tries hard to protect people, and I respect that. History Childhood Ennara was born and raised in the city of Ul'dah. She grew up in the poorest districts of Ul'dah, living hand to mouth for the longest time. She took to theft to feed herself, because her parents just couldn't find work to sustain them all. She found comfort in a group of young friends living in similar situations as her. She became a de facto leader in her circle due to being one of the oldest as well as the biggest due to her natural Highlander height. This circle of friends was incredibly loyal to eachother and would never simply leave someone behind if trouble broke out. Adolescence A chance meeting at the age of 14 changed Ennara's life drastically. An older Roegadyn man by the name of Broken Wing offered her bread. She took it and kicked him in the shin. This continued for a few days before he decided to tell her that she didn't have to kick him in the shin to get more bread. Over time, her trust for the man grew until she was willing to let him help her in the long term. He taught her to read and write. He taught her manners that her parents never instilled upon her. He taught her the value of a hard day's work. It's no exaggeration to say that if she never met him, she'd likely have died young or wound up in prison. The next couple years were pretty mundane, at least until Ennara's 16th year. She would suffer two traumatic experiences in the matter of a couple of months. First, there was a beautiful young Thaumaturge, by the name of Amelia, whom Ennara met while out running errands for Broken Wing. These two grew inseparable over the next couple months, the young former street rat and the older, but still young, Thaumaturge. This continued for awhile with Ennara eventually falling in love with Amelia. But it was not to be. Amelia left one fateful day for a battle that would, with no exaggeration, determine the fate of Eorzea. She fought on the fields of Carteneau and was never seen again. Ennara didn't have time to dwell on her loss of Amelia though. The Calamity and the proceeding hardships drove that worry away. Her father, Adalbert, retreated further into drink after The Calamity, and became even more violent. One night he entered Ennara's room, intent on teaching her a lesson for some imagined insult. She was prepared for this and had started sleeping with a knife under her pillow. A physical exchange happened that ended with a drunken Adalbert stumbling into Ennara's knife, embedding it deep into his stomach. He did not survive his wounds. Present Ennara is currently going through some hardships, but a new perspective on life instilled by a close friend has driven her to look simply for happiness. They agreed that once she was happy, other things should begin to fall into place.
