• Father: Perry Rosch- Alive, living in La Noscea.

• Mother: Alya Rosch- Alive, living in La Noscea. Originally of Eorzean origin.

• Grandfather: Stahlus Rosch/ Tamaya no Stahlus- Alive, living in Revenant's Toll. Rio is very close to both of her grandparents.

• Grandmother: Tamaya no Chiyo/ Chiyo Rosch- Alive. Doman Au Ra who married Stahlus after the Doman campaign. Taught Rio all she knows about pyrotechnics and explosives.

• Maternal Grandparents: Unknown, her mother talks about them very little. Likely tribal seekers.

Appearance

• Height: Rio is shorter than the average Miqo'te, due to her Raen blood, roughly 4'10".

• Weight: Roughly average.

• Body: Rio is lithely muscled, due to the amount of physical activity that goes with her profession.

• Hair: Strawberry red, she tends to wear it long and curly.

• Eyes: Deep red, has rounded pupils.

• Skin: Somewhat tanned. She's covered in a number of freckles all over her body as well. Burns easily in the desert sun.

• Scales: Despite being only a quarter Au Ra, Rio has patches of white scales underneath her eyes, on her hips, under the fur on her tail and ears, and around her calves.

• Clothing: Rio tends to wear lighter, more comfortable fabrics; oftentimes showing a lot of skin. This is due to her work environment normally being a stuffy, hot, airship engine room. She also usually has some sort of explosive or device stuffed into every nook and cranny of her outfit, and usually modifies them with extra straps or secret pockets to facilitate cramming various crystals and metal scraps that she can use to perform repairs and jury rig devices with on the go. She's also not adverse to wearing light leather armor that allows her ease of movement.

• Voice: Rio's voice is very high pitched, to the point of being a little grating at times. She tends to speak animatedly, cracking friendly jokes, and dispensing pointed sass with the same amount of glee.

Personality

Alignment: Chaotic Neutral

Personality: Rio has grown up quite a bit since her days with the Darksteel Talons. Although she still tends to act brashly and doesn't always think through what she's doing, Rio now possesses the ability to examine the consequences of her actions. She also no longer has infinite emotional energy to march down and take no prisoners and slaughter everything between her and her goals.

That said, Rio still possesses a very energetic, childlike personality. She enjoys weaving words into sharp, playful insults; and tends to flirt with most girls and women she meets. She no longer seems like the dunce she used to portray, and although still pretty immature, a fair bit more of her perceptive mind shows through the bubbly facade.

Morals: Rio's sense of right and wrong tends to vary wildly depending on the person. She does her best to be loyal and nice to people; but that tends to fall through when wronged. She's very good at holding grudges. She generally tries not to commit crimes, though. She realizes that due to the fact that she tends not to be secretive about her Garlean heritage; she represents a lot of people's first impressions about Garleans in general.

Primary Weaponry

Holdout Pistol- Rio's main weapon in her weakened state. It's a tiny pistol she can keep on her person, or in a desk drawer. It has about three shots of a small caliber ammo in it. It also has a few small notes with arcanima geometries written on them hidden in the grip; and well as a small sunstone on the outside of the grip, making it a poor-man's magic focus.

Crackle Bombs- One of Rio's first inventions in Eorzea. These small explosives feature a brass sphere packed with ceruleum; causing a potent explosion once a small switch on the outside is swiped. (Similar to striking a match.)

Fire Brand- Rio's old brand from days before the Calamity. She doesn't normally wear it anymore, but she keeps it close, in her room.

Combat

'

1st Division Spear Technique- A combat technique taught to her by Aylis, and meshed with Almaz and Mhrii's lancer techniques. Before the Calamity, it was her go-to means of defending herself; and would continue to be, if her aetherial network wasn't so damaged. Rio's version of the style mixes a flurry of spear thrusts, aimed at joints, the lungs, the heart, and the throat, with a close range aetheric barrage of glass shards and fireballs. As Rio's technique is more based off of Aylis's, she tends to be weak on the defensive, aiming for more of a swift, assassination-style end to the fight.

Long Distance Self-Defense- Rio's current, weaker style that relies on what little magic she can cast on her weakened network. She mainly focuses on inflicting painful burns and slowly driving her opponent to heat exhaustion with small bursts of fire aspected aether. If she has artificial aetheric support with her (like crystals) she can manage fireballs that leave significant burns and can melt armor of lesser materials. She can also just straight up light someone on fire from close range, but such an act will drive her almost to collapse. Lastly, she can cauterize and heal small wounds with Sacrifice magic.

The Desert Moogle Consortium

Misaio Imella- A friend of Rio's from before the Calamity. Misaio has been present through a large portion of Rio's life in Eorzea. Nowadays, she's the captain of the outfit that Rio currently works for. Rio used to depend on her for a lot; though not to the extent that she relied on the Talons. She has recently started to become a lot more independent of her, though.

Corvus Cinis

Alothia Starkwood- Rio's boss in Corvus Cinis prior to her departure with Misaio. Rio is immensely loyal to Alothia even now, and would probably still make good on her promise to "melt anyone that hurts her." She was reunited with her after the Calamity and rejoined Alothia's company. Although she later departed Corvus once again, Rio still holds a healthy measure of respect for Alothia.

Lily Dawnsworn- The second-in-command of Corvus Cinis that Rio loves to tease. Although sometimes Lily can act cold to her, Rio presses on undaunted to make her as silly as the rest of the company. She likes to flirt with her, although she doesn't have much real interest in her romantically.

Vash Ashford- An employee of Corvus Cinis Rio met after the calamity. Rio's not quite sure what to make of him yet, but gauges him to be pretty harmless, at least. She's come to believe that the one thing that he does excel at is being a minion or henchman.

Eric Verus- An employee of Corvus Cinis that Rio met briefly during a tense encounter with Deirdre. After she found out about his background, she developed a measure of respect for him; to the point where she forged a gunblade for him to use against Souyo, which he promptly broke and lost in the snows of Coerthas. She's somewhat sore about that still.

Souyo Xander- A man who was corrupted by the power of a dark crystal and waged a private war against Corvus Cinis. Rio has a distaste and fear of this man and tends to tell him just that when in his company. She only addresses him with biting remarks and sarcasm, even when told by Misaio to be civil. The source of her distaste for him stemmed from a fear that he would steal Misaio from her and take her far away, destroying the magiengineer's way of life.

Others

Deirdre Ta'ea- A former Eorzean Guard member that Rio once served with. Given her propensity for stabbing people and generally threatening nature, Rio tends to be scared stiff of her. She is, in Rio's words, "A terrifying, horrible, super mean, stab-you-in-the-gut, jerk!".

Mtoto Wamoto- A Miqo'te who formerly lead the Eorzean Guard that Rio once joined. Although Rio was eventually discharged from the Guard, she retains a large amount of respect for the woman.
