Nanagi is a retired character nd no longer avalible for RP unless in the forums. Information about her will still be provided, but not as detailed.

APPEARANCE

Nanagi's eyes share the heterochromia trait her father had. Her right eye is a deep forest green, and from a distance, it could be mistaken for black. As for her left eye, it's as pitch black as the void. She has the same hair color her mother had, a beautiful violet with lavender highlights. From a distance, her highlights could been mistaken for white highlights. Her hair is thicker, styled into loose curls that frame her face nicely. Although she lived in the desert all of her life, Nanagi is a bit paler than other Dunesfolk. This is likely because she spent most of her time in the shade, and hated being out in the sun for too long. She has rather prominent freckles below her eyes and on her cheekbones. Her ears are pointed, and are not too long, but not too short; about average. Her voice is mature, but still reflects her youthful age.

Scars and Markings

Her right hand was badly burned. The scars still remain and will probably be there for the rest of her life. She no longer wears a bandage over the scars.
Multiple burn scars can be seen going up her arms. These are different from the ones that her on her right hand.

Momokofo Tatakofo ( ✖ ♥ ) - Father
"I promise that I will continue your legacy." She was left heartbroken when she found her father dead. Couldn't believe that this would happen to her family. She knew that her father wanted her to continue the family trade and although she doesn't devote her life to crafting, she still keeps the family trade alive. She manage to obtain the crystal that her father always wore, but it was damaged in the attack and lost all contents that may have been inside.

Kirkirik Tirtirik ( ♥ 🔒 ● (MIA) ) - Former Lover
"It feels like everything fell apart after you vanished...." Meeting Kirkirik was rather interesting. They started a conversation, and then had to deal with an Amalj'aa attack near the Ul'dah gates. She was able to watch Kirkirik manipulate the earth in ways which she had never seen before. Ever since then, they have become rather good friends. She loves that she can hold an intellectual conversation with him. After finally mustering the courage to tell Kirkirik how she felt about him, it was then that she realized that the feeling was mutual. She hasn't seen Kirkirik in over 2 moons and has no idea where to look. So much has happened that she hasn't had the time to really try to find him. Her love for him is still there, but slowly fading as time goes by....

Rihxo Matoi ( ♥ ♦ 🔒 ) - Closest Friend
"You are like the sister I never had." When she first met the miqo'te she couldn't help but notice how positive she was, always cheerful. She didn't understand why someone like her would talk to Nanagi, a quiet lalafell who does her best not to be noticed. She loves Rihxo, and wishes to remain at her side until the day that she dies. Rihxo is the only person who knows the most about Nanagi.

Valen Stalhart ( 🔃 ● ) - Magitek Knight
You have helped me discover the whereabouts of my mother, and I think you. I owe you.” To say the least, Valen and Nanagi started off on the wrong foot. Valen was still under Garlean influence when they first met. When Nanagi tried offering him aid, she was met with betrayal. It was at this point that she didn't care if Rihxo wished to see him live, she wanted him dead. Who knows what changed her mind, but after the whole fiasco, she finds herself talking to Valen as if nothing ever happened. She see's him as an ally who she can trust.If it wasn't for his aid in trying to find her mother, it may have taken Nanagi a much longer time to learn to trust him.

L’rinhi Kett ( ● 🔒 ) - Owner of the Wayfarer’s Rest
"You gave me a job, and I am most thankful." She met Rini when Nanagi first set foot into the Wayfarer's rest. She found Rini to be rather cute, and professional. In some aspects, she saw a lot of Rihxo in her, except Rini didn't seem to be a ditz. Rini offered Nanagi a job at the Wayfarer's Rest, and Nanagi happily accepted it. It is thanks to her that Nanagi has a real place to call home.

L'Raha Nunh ( ● 🔃 ) -Rini's brother
hts:Nanagi first met Ra when she met Rini. The two of them got along fairly well, but with her being so stubborn and backing Stroud almost all the time, it has pulled them somewhat apart. Not only that, but her greatly disapproves of Nagi intentions with the Void. She is unsure how she truly feels about him, but is still willing to help him if he were to ever seek her aid.

U'zamza Steelclaw ( ● ) - The Charmer
"You are nothing but a sweet talker. Never did I think I would enjoy your company from time to time" U'zamza is Rihxo's former boyfriend, it was only inevitable that she was going to meet him. Nagi and U'zamza have completely different personalities which may lead to conflicts in the future. As for right now, Nagi didn’t seem to mind his company and seemed to relax a bit more when around him and Rihxo. Who knows where he went, but she does hope he is alright.

Aoi Obinata ( ● ) - An Overseer
She has been Aoi's assigned healer twice at the Grindstone. She likes her company, but doesn't know much about her. She wishes to know more, but she doesn't want to bother Aoi; afraid that she will be a nuisance. Nanagi has recently learned that Aoi is a caster as well.

Melfice Vainchelon ( ● ) - A fellow researcher
The two met once at the quicksand. It was one of the more "stranger" conversation's Nanagi has had, but by no means does that mean she didn't enjoy it. In many ways, she saw how they were similar. Both of them would get caught up and research, and they both seemed to be the quiet type. She has only met him once, so it is hard to tell if her assumptions are true.

Adelaide Levenson ( ♠ ✔ ) - The Magitek Bitch
Nanagi and Adelaide (aka. The Bitch) are anything but allies. They both have a different view on the world and their ideal often clash. If it wasn't for Nanagi's already growing frustration with the Garlean Empire and the circlet fiasco, Nanagi could probably learn to tolerate her more. Adelaide and Nanagi have learned to get through a short conversation without it turning into a "who can say the worst thing possible about the other" contest. When Adelaide usually pays a visit to Nanagi's office, it's usually because she has rather useful information. Aside from that, they never speak.

Stroud Forscythe ( ♠ ● 🔃 ) - Lord
"At one point, I did care about you. Not anymore." For the longest time, Nanagi had always been by his side. She truly cared about him and all she wanted to do was help him. Something snapped, who knows exactly what it was the caused her to go and try to kill the man - not even Nagi herself fully knows. She sees him as manipulative and no good, she wants him gone. Alas, she must wait for fate to take it’s course.

She thought it was fastening to watch them polish rings, and inspect gemstones with the big magnifying glass. She would often help her parents with small things like arranging the jewelry that was on display to look pretty, organizing the materials, and other similar tasks. Her parents were worried about her education, so they decided that during certain times of the day, one of them would take a break from working and give their daughter 2 hour lessons a day. When Nanagi wasn't receiving these lessons, and if she wasn't assisting her parents, she would often teach herself. She was fascinated by what knowledge was in books. If Nanagi wasn't assisting her parents and didn't feel the need to teach herself, she would explore all the parts of Ul’dah, staying out of sight. She never liked being center of attention; she was shy, and so she would explore and try to stay unnoticed. She would spend most of her time hiding in the Thaumaturge guild, for she thought it was the most beautiful and amazing thing she had ever seen. Once the moon rose, Nanagi would return home, and mimic what she saw at the guild; she did this every day until she was 14.</p>

Nanagi would spend the next 4 years going to the guild everyday to train, and become better than she was the day before. Even though she was exposed to many people, she didn't talk to a lot of the apprentices there. The only time she talked to them is if the current assignment required her to, or if she had a question. Other than that, she kept to herself. Even with her now studying at the guild, she still kept up with her lessons from her parents and assisting them with their trade. It was almost surprising that someone at her age did so much, but talked very little. She became a bit well known for being quiet, but a great helper and learner. Once she turned 18, she was given her final test. It took her 2 days to complete, but she passed. She was proud that she was able to master the art, and impress her parents. It was after she finished the test that she decided to use her power to help others; however, she felt as though if someone was really that desperate for help, and couldn't solve the problem on their own, they needed to pay. With this in mind, she thought the life of a mercenary would suit her best. She started off small, accepting jobs that required her to hunt down some creatures, delivering packages, and making sure caravans made it to their destination safety. From there, she would begin to take bigger jobs, one's that presented a challenge, ones that would help hone her skills while making gil.</p>

She left Western Thanalan immediately to investigate the scene. The caravan was destroyed, her father's dead body laid on top of small box of rings. Her mother's body was nowhere to be found. The only thing the Flames could find were Amalj'aa tracks, and the looks of something being dragged. When they followed these tracks, the tracks suddenly vanished. It was almost as if they levitated in the air and flew the rest of the way. When they returned to the crime scene, Nanagi had spotted the beautiful circlet her mother would always wear, partially buried in the sand. She took it from the sand, and place it around her head. A memento. She gave her father a proper burial, she whispered to the gravestone that she would keep their business alive, after all; that was all they wanted. It was after the burial that she went to search for her mother. She searched for weeks with no luck, she eventually lightened her search. She spent less, and less time looking for her mother. She accepted the fact that her mother was dead, but something in the back of her mind told her that she was still alive somewhere. Although she isn't constantly looking for her mother, she still searches for any information that might suggest she is alive and her location. She hates the Amalj'aa with a burning passion. She swore to the Twelve that she would hunt down every Amalj'aa in sight, leaving none behind. It was this that made her into an excellent Amalj'aa hunter.</p>

-When Kirkirik came to Nanagi telling her that he had to deal with the corrupted sprites in Coerthas, she was eager to help. Once she finished work at the Wayfarer's, she quickly packed her things and headed out to meet with him. Little did she know what would be coming out of the trip.
-When she arrived at Ishgard, she found her friend waiting for her. It was when they were about to leave for Western highlands that she learned that Kirkirik was afraid of flight. Once the chocobo's sent them to their destination, they didn't waste their time discovering the lake which the corruption was located. It was there that they found the reason for it - heretics were dumping some sort of sludge into the mostly frozen lake which was causing the imbalance. Almost as soon as they discovered this, the heretics spotted them.
-Didn't take Nanagi and Kirkirik long to take them out, but during the fight a slight ominous aura could be sensed around Nanagi, one that Kirkirik would be left to question about. Once the heretics were dealt with, it was time to deal with the corruption itself. While he dealt with removing it, Nanagi dealt with anyone who tried to harm him. It took some time, but they manage to complete the job; retreating back to a large, empty cave once finished.
-It was there that they shared a few touching moments. Nanagi learned more about Kirkirik, and it just made her care about him even more. Multiple times, she told him how much she cared for him and explaining to him why she wished to help him.

-It was a rather normal day for Nanagi until she was paied an unexpected visit from Adelaide, someone who Nanagi hoped to never talk to again. If it wasn't for Adelaide explaining that she had news about Valen and the Void, Nanagi would've had someone escort her out of the Wayfarer's. Adelaide explained to Nanagi that Valen had requested her to fix the chip that was inside him, the one that originally had him under the Garlean's influence. Knowing Nanagi, it was no surprise that she would express her disagreement with the plan. She explained what happened last time, how he was going through a psychotic break during Rihxo's battle because of the damn chip.
-Considering her options, there was no one better to fit the description to help Nanagi when going through the void, or so she thought. She had remembered that [[L'Raha Nunh]] has a complete lack of aether and he was very capable of holding his own. She asked Adelaide to try and stall Valen, to try to convince him that adding the program wont be needed while Nanagi tries to talk to L'Raha, and maybe convince him to help Nanagi with this endeavor.

The magitek knight was now by her side, asking her what she would do. She explained to him that she was going to learn the forbidden art and go after her mother, even with all of the risks. She continued on to explain that she risked being a prime target, that her being 'rich in Aether' would attract many of the Voidsent. Valen wasn't hesitant to acknowledge the risk and tell Nanagi that he would be going with her into the Void.

-Nanagi and Kirkirik we're enjoying their evening at Urth's Font when Nanagi recieved an urgent call from her linkpearl. Valen had found something about her mother, but it required her to come to an Amalj'aa camp. She had decided to take Kirkirik with her and the both of the set of for Southern Thanalan. On the way there, Nanagi explained to Kirkirik what was going on- that her mother had been missing for four cycles and that Valen has found a lead. Once the two of them to the location where they they were told to go, she found Valen sitting in front of what looked to be an Amalj'aa chief. Kirkirik kept his distance while Nanagi sat next to Valen.
-It was then that this blind Amalj'aa explained to Nanagi that after the attack, the Amalj'aa who attacked dragged her away not to be sacrificed to Ifrit, but to be sacrificed to whatever dwelled in the Void. However, because the Amalj'aa didn't bring enough people to be used for whatever ritual the sacrifices were to be used for, they were all punished. Sucked into the Void and left to suffer inside. Nanagi couldn't believe what she just heard- for four long cycles, her mother has been in the Void, suffering. She didn't believe there was a way to get her out of there either, at least not until the Amalj'aa explained to her that there was.
-For Nanagi to be able to open a gate into the Void and traverse mostly as safe as possible, she must undergo training in the forbidden arts of ''black magick''. With the conjurer present, she couldn't make her decision just yet; she was overwhelmed. It wasn't until Nanagi and Kirkirik returned to her office that she decided that learning the forbidden art is a must, even if it puts her life at risk, and Kirkirik would do whatever he could to help her.
-Who knows if her mother is even alive, but even if she isn't human, even if she turned into a voidsent....she still wants to save her. This could mean she carries her tainted mother out of the void, or her killing whatever remains of her mother.

-The day had finally come when Rihxo and Valen would face off. The usual company was there, ready to draw their weapons if it seemed like Rihxo was about to loose. During the beginning of the fight, Nanagi managed to stay out of sight. No one knew she was there. During almost the entire fight, Valen had seemed to be reliving a past fight. Refering to Rihxo as X'matoi and Nanagi as "just a merchant".
-It wasn't until Valen rumped to the tree where Nanagi was hiding that everyone was aware of her presence. When he tried to attack Nanagi, she acted in a defensive maner, drawing her weapon and casting a rather devistating fire spell. This helped make sure he kept his distance. With a little assistance from Nanagi, they managed to get Valen down to kis knees, giving Rihxo a chance to use a device that was given to her from the company Arcadeus. When she activated the device, nothing seemed to happen, it was then that Valen spoke up, saying that "''You can't disable something hat is already broken''". Come to find out, multiple times had he resisted to order to kill Rihxo and because of this, multiple waves of pain would come from the magitek implant in his brain. Because of how much he resisted, the implant just broke, finally releasing him from Garlean's grasp.

What she originally had in mind was to go there still cloaked, away from most of the crowds but still keeping an eye on Rihxo. She knew she had to escape, to tell Rihxo of the news. She decided to take the opprotunity she had to hijack a magitek reaper, and escape. Stalhart pursued her, even after his magitek reaper became immobile.

Instead of fighting, she simply explained to Stalhart that she would distance herself, keep herself out of sight while still being able to keep a close eye on him or Rihxo.
