Orenji Kharn is a kind-hearted miqo'te born of the Twelveswood. A professional adventurer, he relies on experience as both a Lancer and a Dark Knight, and may freely switch between either during his journeys. The son of a famed pirate and aspiring tea-maker, Orenji struck out at a very young age to create his own legacy to become a hero of legend in inspiration of the world renowned Warrior of Light.

Though circumstances may have taken him on interesting turns, hardening the boy as time passes, Orenji has found himself as the Captain of a growing band of Sky Pirates known as the Rising Claws. With his impeccable knowledge of engineering and unmatchable skill with a sword, he dares any and all to challenge him and his crew, so that they may forever grow and ascend to the skies that they so righteously proclaim as theirs. After all, who would challenge a crew that can so readily make such a radical claim? An avid dreamer, none question his unwavering heart and sense for adventure.

A young, lean miqo'te, with short, messy black hair and orange eyes. Orenji is a calm, sometimes sarcastic young man, driven by his dream of following his hero's footsteps of becoming a famous leader and shunning those that tell him otherwise. He aspires very much to be a leader that people deserve and to be as free as the birds in the sky, using both the cunning and charm inherited from his parents to rally those to his cause. A young man with a kind heart, he discriminates against nobody for who they are, accepting all into his folds who prove themselves worthy of his trust.

However, one would be a fool to mistake his kindness for weakness. This young man is always thinking and waiting for the opportunity in which an enemy will strike him. Described as a devil who follows his contract to the letter, Orenji is a man heavily bound by his own word, be it honorable or nay. A promise is an oath, and an oath is his life. He pities the fool that would cross him, ready to take their lives in the protection of his family and all he stands for or risk falling deeper into the abyss, penance for the wages of mercy.

As of recent events, he sports a pale blue right eye while bedecked by a myriad of scars.

Likes ■ Orange Juice. Perhaps due to his naivety or simple penchant for not drinking alcohol, he is quite the addict to the juice of his namesake. ■ Airships. This boy loves to fly almost as much as he loves to tinker. As an aspiring Sky Captain, one can never be too short of this vehicle for his fleet. ■ Combat. While not quick to admit it, instincts tell this knight to 'rage on'. He is an avid lover for the thrill of battle. ■ Baked Goods. Orenji has quite the sweet tooth, and even moreso if it comes in the form of a delicious tasty pastry. ■ Secret Favoring: Mint Lassi. A favored treat for his parents to make, this drink is a quick way into Orenji's heart as he travels down the nice flavors of memory lane.

Dislikes ■ Prejudice. Never judge a book by it's cover. Orenji accepts any and all into his crew, and has been the victim of being poorly judged many a time. ■ Fear: Voidsent. Heavily related to his past, he has a crippling fear of the void and its denizens. Inspired by the loss of his first comrades, he seeks never again to experience such horrors with his newfound family. ■ Disrespect. Orenji is not too fond of those that don't show their peers respect, unless they're truly undeserving of it. ■ Pessimists. "You can do anything you set your mind to. No? Then you can watch us try." — Orenji Kharn. ■ Cowardice. He detests those that have no self-respect, and hates cowards even moreso. If you're to pick a fight with a Dreadwyrm, stand ready in its maw or be devoured.

Hobbies ■ Tinkering. Having learned much from his mother, an amazing engineer, Orenji often finds himself at a table, constantly upgrading the augments of his shipmates and practicing his metalworking. ■ Listening. Orenji is a very analytical person, ears always open to his surroundings so he may make unbiased judgements when he needs to. However, it also helps him relax to hear the stories and lives of all those around him. ■ Adventuring. A popular client with the Adventurer's guild, Orenji often takes up missions to further his own skill with a sword and get a broader sense of the world around him. ■ Sparring. A lover of combat and martial skill, Orenji often enjoys watching or partaking of spars so that he may learn and truly connect with the people around him. A frequent participant of the Grindstone and two-time Grindstone Champion, he hopes to hone his skill and rack up many more wins under his belt. ■ Leading. Many often joke that he is married to his duty and worry for his health due to all the stress he puts on himself on a daily basis, he actually finds solving problems as a soothing and relaxing past time. He also enjoys very much being able to direct people.
