"One does not become enlightened by imagining figurers of light, but by making the darkness conscious."
Character Basics
Y'uraq Tia (pronounced Yah-oo-rak Tea-ah) is a young, and spirited miqo'te researcher and a prominent duelist across Eorzean arenas. Born to a Jaguar (Y) tribe in La Noscea, Y'uraq presently lives in Ul'dah since his mysterious awakening in Eastern Thanalan. Y'uraq has since lost contact with his tribe and his memories with them. Embarking on a grand journey Across the Eorzean continent in his search of answers. Since settling in Ul'dah, Y'uraq has adapted more to modern city life and "civilized" customs. His savage tendencies are sated with expeditionary contracts, missions, and the coliseums, where his 'dark' thoughts run wild.
Appearance & Personality
Born of a Seeker of the Sun and a Keeper of the moon, Y'uraq stands at just an ilm over six fulms, appearing slightly taller than the average male miqo'te. While his darker complexion suggest he is indeed, no stranger to the sun. His larger fangs bare evidence of his mother's nocturnal side of his bloodline.
As limited as his strength may seem, Y'uraq's thin frame and combat experience has allowed him to respond as quick as his instincts command and his body can muster. His moods are rather as his spirits and energies reflect through his face, either revealing a radiance of joy through his sharp, dark amber eyes partly glinting in the light. Or when his darting eyes are concealed by his dark hairs at some parts of his face, revealing the glare of a savage predator in combat to onlookers. Two longer bangs hanging down on both opposite sides of his head with his pointed furry ears slightly leaning toward the back of his head. With enrlarged front fangs that reveal in his smiles, and in lesser friendlier moments.
When he's not locked in combat, Y'uraq is generally upbeat and welcoming around his friends and strangers alike, until they give him a reason not to. Y'uraq is more driven by his emotions than by logical means, justifying his sensitive tendencies as "instincts". Call it as he might, it does very little to mask his true nature from those he's tried to convince.
Since his travels, Y'uraq has been advanced on by both men and women along his journey, which has also re-kindled some vain tendencies, not also limited to his interests in the finer things, which soon protruded through his style of fashion and glamour as well. Preferring to put style with some subtle elegance into both his casual and battle attire, while also keeping comfort and practicality in mind. Y'uraq prefers to have his own clothes, armor, and jewelry made to his to meet his own personal tastes. He is very often seen donning trinkets on some place or other on his person.
In times of confrontations and certain conflict, Y'uraq's cheerful and harmless mindset slowly shifts into feral tendencies. Focused, fearless, and savage in his strikes when locked in combat against his foes. In his past excursions, he's been unhesitant to lay himself in harm's way to fight and protect those that fight at his side, even if he's not carrying a shield to protect himself with.
Despite his lacking physical strength, Y'uraq has been noted by witnesses to fight with ferocity and relentless savagery, especially when armed with a sword and shield.

Employment history
- Ul'dahn locals - { Former Employers } Y'uraq took on simple jobs across ul'dah for gil scraps, or anything that kept him from starving. Including pest control, deliveries, and hunting local fauna. As his swordsmanship improved, Y'uraq has been able to offer his services as an accomplished sellsword to fellow travelers, scholars and excursionists alike.
- Omner Garamonde - { Former Employer } During his time exploring the twelveswood, Y'uraq was granted gathering and hunting jobs for Mr. Garamonde's free company, before taking off for La Noscea.
- Maelstrom 81st - { Former Member } a crew of mercenaries stationed in La Noscea. Despite his good tidings, Y'uraq found himself re-evaluating the risks and benefits of mercenary life. He soon sought new purpose in his life as an apprentice to the crew's scholars, before deciding to resume his pursuits in Thanalan.
- Immortal Flames - { Currently Active } Y'uraq frequently serves and negotiates with his fellows. Often applying his limited craftsmanship skills in provisionary tasks since giving up mercenary life, for a 'relatively' less dangerous one.
- The Fireborn - { Former Member } A crew of mercenaries stationed in Ul'dah. Was hired out of familiarity to his past experiences. But eventually left due to idleness.
- Eorzean Arenas - { Currently Active } While not necessarily an 'employment', Y'uraq's love for competition and rites of strength made him a natural contender! Attending nearly every competition he notices in hopes of walking away with a championship and the spoils that come with it. Y'uraq has yet to retire from the ring.
- The Vault Reavers - { Former Leader } With the grant and blessing of the Immortal Flames, Y'uraq currently leads a stationed free company of treasure hunters operating in the region. Though it's more of a City-state funded research organization. Regardless, Y'uraq has been able to make good use of the resources provided by the Flames, for as long as it lasted.
- The Vylbrand Academy - { Former Student } Eager to start a normal life, Y'uraq enrolled himself to study among fellow scholars and find his own place among them.
Combat
- Man-at-arms:
Since childhood, Y'uraq was trained as a protector of his tribe. Taught to confront the threats with the same strength, and fury of the Y. Y'uraq was sworn to protect his tribe with the life, as was the standard for all destined guardians of the Y. In result, Y'uraq was trained in several armed practices, including 2-handed swords, axes, and lances. However, Y'uraq proved to be most proficient when armed with a sword and a shield, recalling himself training with them more frequently than any other weapon.
When his eyes are locked and armed with focus at his side, Y'uraq is able to maneuver his blade with agility and precision, watching his foe's every move in anticipation as he'd defiantly lift his shield, roaring for his instinct to awake his fighting spirit, losing himself to the ferocity, and might he was notorious for. Often rolling and leaping his way through combat in heavy armor, surprising those who would initially misjudge him for his appearance. Heavy armor would often slow him down to fatigue and injuries, however. Y'uraq would often relies and risks much with philosophies he was taught to get him through seemingly impossible odds.
- Darkside:
Y'uraq's rage-evoke aether allows him to tap into a malevolent, destructive force once dormant deep within him. His current list of powers is as such:
- Shadow Rush - Y'uraq gives the last bit of his conscious to his darkside, his inner madness springs forth in as savage cries and bellows from his entranced fury. Left with only cruelty and brutality to inspire him. His bloodlust will not yield until either he's been stopped from trance.
- Gravity - An aetheric manipulation Y'uraq evokes to intensify the gravity around his foes. It is primarily used to gain agility over his foes'.
- Void Slash - Y'uraq's blade will begin to dance and glide over it's own weight as momentum slowly picks up from the swings. Y'uraq will slash and thrash at his victim's direction before . May be used in melee, or from a short range.
- Thundaga - Concentrating his very fury into the aetherflows, Y'uraq will extend an arm toward his victim, as lightning crackles forth from Y'uraq's palms and fingertips. Manifesting a powerful discharge of energy with several lighting bolts fired at his target. The intensity may vary from incapacitating his foes, to completely disintegrating his victims.
- Void Shards - Y'uraq will manifest pure void shards as they fall and dig into the surface in front, or around him. Absorbing most, if not the entire weight of the impending stike. The shards may be used offensively, or as a makeshift barrier

Y'uraq awakened under a blazing sun hung high above the Thanalan wastelands. With nothing but rags and a a dulled sword in his hand, Y'uraq wandered the entire day through the wilderness. A sudden scream filled the air as he instinctively charged into a peiste, with what remained of a lalafell's ripped arm hanging by the its maw. The beast charged as Y'uraq braved a battle stance Baffled by his own sudden display of talent. Y'uraq held close to his weapon as he braved on, until spotting an unusual cluster of tall domed buildings and towers in the distance. Y'uraq pressed on, arriving at the City of Ul'dah just as nightfall settled.
Y'uraq passed cautiously toward the Gates of Nald, noticing makeshift tents and huts littering every imaginable spot, some bared banners with baring a griffin. While all around, were ragged individuals loitering all around. Keeping his blade close. Y'uraq entered the busy streets, watching crowds of people roaming the streets. Y'uraq took his first step just has he was already shoved, yelled at, and nearly run over by a passing cart, and finally airborne into a shallow fountain.
Y'uraq was completely drenched as he climbed the steps, and entering into a vast hall he'd known as "The Quicksand". Inside were crowds of all sorts of shapes and sizes. Overwhelmed by all immense diversity, Y'uraq stepped inside, the roars of laughter, and loud voices polluted his ears and deafened his own thoughts. Y'uraq looked and searched through the crowd of patrons before noticing shining knight clad in white. A burst of memories flash before Y'uraq's eyes, recalling the training he once received as a child. He heard his past self practicing his battle shouts and roars. Y'uraq approached and introduced himself to Sharla Blackheart, a Sultansworn Paladin. After having shared his strange day, Sharla insisted he introduced himself to the gladiator's guild. Y'uraq went on to follow Sharla's advice and checked in. After a brief test of skill, he was immediately admitted, and dispatched for training near city limits.
Y'uraq was starting to get impatient in the middle of his duty and dashed out from his training, and into the open fields. Determined in himself, Y'uraq blindly strode north past Blackbrush station, and dangerously close to Cutter's Cry. Before long, Y'uraq found himself defiantly against the two giant ants that stood in his way. But his bravery was cut short just when his dulled sword shattered against against one of the beast's husks. Y'uraq could only step back until he was cornered with his back against the bottom of a cliff. The air zipped as the two ants collapsed to a hail of arrows. Y'uraq was greeted by a passing archer on his way to cutter's cry, whom immediately insisted that Y'uraq turn back to the city before he gets himself killed. Y'uraq returned to the Ul'dah all but in one piece, and the fact he wasn't killed, or eaten on his way back was nothing less of good fortune.
A few suns passed since Y'uraq reconciled with the gladiator's guild for his arrogance. Y'uraq was granted a new sword, and a list of duties that barely paid enough gil to keep himself from going hungry, let alone sleeping somewhere decent. When he wasn't bound by training regiment, Y'uraq often wandered the city in search of anything or anyone he'd recognize, but the more he searched around the city and the goblet wards, the more he found himself a stranger in a strange land. Before long, the distinct and familiar sounds beating metal over a forge clung in the air. Y'uraq followed the sounds before running into a blacksmith in the middle of his craft in Ruby Avenue. Y'uraq and the blacksmith, Omner Garamonde exchanged greetings before Y'uraq humbly asked for directions to the markets for new weapons. The man was delighted to not only give Y'uraq directions, but offer a proper tour around the city on the way there. Before long Y'uraq relayed his entire misadventures to Mr. Garamonde, to which soon he offered the greatest weapons and armor a "greenhorn" like Y'uraq could benefit in his pending journey. Omner advised Y'uraq about the conjurers in Gridania, whom share the same region as his Free Company headquarters. Inviting him refuge during his time in the Black Shroud. Y'uraq accepted his offer, and joined his new boss on the next airship to Gridania.

The transport arrived at the free company estate that late afternoon. After being given a brief tour of the company mansion, Y'uraq was well received by his new crew mates. Overjoyed to have his own bed, warm meals and steady flow of gil, Y'uraq spent much of his time wandering the Gridanian roads. Before long, his curiosity was met into a group of people sitting around a horned, child-sized hyur. Y'uraq eavesdropped on the child's words before he found himself, captivated by the decievingly young lecturer's every word. At the meeting's conclusion, Y'uraq approached the dispersing group before catching up to one of the pupils. Before long, Y'uraq agreed to follow the conjurer back to their guild where he immediately expressed his interest to the Padjal in joining their practiced meditation on the essence of creation's forces. As well as learning to weave aether into a cure spells. After a brief evaluation and lessons in fundamentals, Y'uraq was deemed properly enthusiastic and was initiated with his very own wooden stave. The conjurers restricted to use his sword and shield for his immediate first trial.
Y'uraq arrived at the marked sepulcher in the central shroud. Clad and armed with a simple robe and a weathered stave, Y'uraq braved into the stirring darkness before he was ambushed, attacked, outnumbered and chased out by imps and bats half way back to Gridania. After escaping danger, Yuraq walked the rest of his way back to the city only lightly scathed. Unfamiliar with aether travel, Y'uraq wandered hopelessly lost in search back to the conjurer's guild. In his search, he instead met across a strange, but curious hyurian woman. After brief introduction with Satomi, Y'uraq went on to share his most recent misadventure and failed task with the conjurer's guild before the kind young woman offered to assist him with completing his first task while offering a crash demonstration in aether manipulation. Y'uraq stood and watched as Satomi essentially more than halved his task, clearing the way for an undisturbed cleansing ritual even proved difficult for the conjurer-in-training.
Y'uraq returned to the conjurer's guild not feeling as accomplished as he had hoped. The following days were taxing on Y'uraq inability to properly manipulate an effective cure spell. Seeking the aid of his elders, Y'uraq explained his difficulties in harnessing the elements. His senior conjurers soon agreed he was presently unfit for further training in conjury. Though Y'uraq made the humble effort to leave the conjurer's guild behind him. A seething anger stirred deep in his heart. That night Visions of a smoking volcano above a vast, tropical island surrounded by fields and meadows beneath. Y'uraq heard familiar voices in his dream, urging him to head west.
Having abandoned his pursuit in conjury, Y'uraq remained a few more suns in Gridania, handling a few more provision tasks for Mr. Garamonde's free company before bidding his resignation, and sincerest gratitudes. Y'uraq took the Airship for La Noscea later that evening.
Y'uraq journeyed through the same island he envisioned in his dreams. His search for answers became promising as a the familiar sights brought a torrent of memories back to him. But as many there were, many of the fragments only set the stage for a much greater mystery. With the location and whereabouts of his tribe still unknown to him. Y'uraq's journey came to another halt, as his round-trip through the southern half of the island brought him back to the Lominsan capital.
Uncertain of where else to travel to, Y'uraq dreamless nights convinced him to remain in La Noscea and explore the region more profoundly. Under the bright sunny skies, and over the rolling meadows and the salty breeze, Y'uraq spent the next few suns offering his services as a sellsword to the locals around the lower regions. Before long, he was referrenced to the Maelstrom command before he could venture and serve Limsa Lominsa further north. He was assigned to the 81st levy, making La Noscea his new home during his quest for answers.
The Voice in the Abyss
(Jan 14, 2015 - February 8, 2015) - Seeking to find a greater purpose in his new life, Y'uraq turns to the study and research the Allagans of the past. Before his curiosity earned him more than he bargained for.

Y'uraq spent his following days among a crew of mercenaries led by Rhesh'ir Zwan. But despite the exciting excursions and adventures over the island, his simple joys as a sellsword were diminished as his feral tendencies in combat became all too apparent to his crewmates. Though he was still compensated decently for his skill, it did little to make him forget about his own mystery.
As his concerns grew, Y'uraq looked to try his hand at conjury in hopes of finding more joy and balance as a healing hand, than a marauding sellsword. Y'uraq sought the guidance of a conjurer and fellow crewmate, Rahn'a Lizeh. Despite Y'uraq's honest attempts to even meditate, his guide sensed a very clouded mind, further Re-assuring everything the conjurers in Gridania had told him before. In the end, Rahn'a deemed Y'uraq would not be able to improve his studies in conjury until he frees himself from what ever is impeding his progress. Y'uraq accepted his friend's advice and decided to move on from conjury.
Determined to keep seeking joy in a greater purpose, Y'uraq listed himself in assistance to the 81st's lieutenant and accomplished researcher, Ralamano Nulumano. After a brief introduction of Eorzea's fragmented history, Y'uraq took a special interest in the Ancient Allagans and their legacy over Hydaelyn. Y'uraq enthusiastically read over Ralamano's notes and texts on the Allagan Empire. Before long, Y'uraq made frequent trips from La Noscea to Mor Dhona for more texts. Y'uraq's new passion for knowledge and discovery soon turned into an unhealthy obsession.
One day, Y'uraq was preparing to leave Revenant's Toll when he overheard a small group of ragged miners ranting at a pair of scholars passing by. Mentions of an allagan relic called "The Emperor's Eye" caught Y'uraq's attention. Y'uraq used the little information to research the relic at his own pace. But tales of the Emperor's Eye ability to record and replay a person's memory was regarded as nothing more than some bard's talespinning. After spending another sack full of gil, Y'uraq returned back to his studies a bag full of books and with the gleam full of hope in finding the emperor's eye for, and the answers to his past. Y'uraq spent entire days, weeks, to a full month locked in his studies. Before long He began discover more and connections between the Allagans and the voidsent. In effort to understand it better, Y'uraq decided to include thaumaturgy into his studies, only to find himself all too familiar with the fundamentals. Y'uraq demonstrated a lot more promise in thaumaturgy, than he could in conjury.
Y'uraq was relentless in his studies, managing to surpass and overachieve his fellow acolytes into more advanced aetherical studies, sciences and evocations. With a misplaced passion and strayed purpose, Y'uraq wasted little time sleeping. His dreams soon became filled with anger, fear, suffering and confusion. He would see, hear, and even feel the pains and torments he'd recieve in his dreams. Faces and voices he could never recognize then. Y'uraq percieved this as a notion that all of his answers depend on furthering his knowledge in the void, and pressed on.
Until he awoke in terror after encountering a twisted, and deranged reflection of himself. Y'uraq ceased all of his studies in the void, or the emperor's eye that following morning.

Under the advice of his fellows, Y'uraq took a much needed break from his daunting research and took back to the roads. Taking the opportunity to revisit the other two city-states and make himself more familiar with the regions and explore new skills and hobbies. From learning the art of patience from the Lominsan Fishermen's guild, to improving with archery, further appreciation and understanding for the land through botany in the Twelveswood, to honing his physical combat through pugilism and mining while traversing through Thanalan.
Despite his efforts to distract himself with leisure travel and activities, Y'uraq couldn't help but feel he's traveled in one big circle. A feeling of dread lingered as he couldn't help but feel 'lost' all over again. In result, Y'uraq felt more discouraged than ever before. Y'uraq found himself entering through the Gates of Nald once again, unconsciously re-enacting his first moments in the city. He wandered the busy streets, things seemed a slight more hectic than he remembered as well. There were a lot of Brass Blades and tension in the streets, though he was never certain why.
Y'uraq was convinced he would have more luck settling in Thanalan and start his new life where it all began. Y'uraq returned to the 81st before resigning his place with the levy, and resume his affairs in Thanalan. Despite his immediate plans to find a new direction in his studies, he knew he'd never get anywhere without a place to to sleep as well as earning himself a steady cash flow. With mere critter extermination being far beneath his skills. Y'uraq made his way toward the Hall of Flames to enlist his services. Inside, Y'uraq glanced at some curious recruitment flyers before deciding to give the Fireborn a look. Before long, he was admitted as The Fireborn's latest recruit.
Y'uraq settled into the Fireborn's barracks, acquainting himself his fellow crewmates in the free company, including its leader and commander, Garen Stone. While the lack of scholars was unfortunate, it did not stop him from focusing on his duties, though few there were. Y'uraq took advantage of his light involvement with his crew, using his free time on several fronts. Including the start of his training as a free paladin from the sultanguard, bounty hunting for the Immortal Flames, to further honing a steady hand at the goldsmith's guild. Y'uraq indeed everything he could do in hopes of earning a decent and normal living in Ul'dah, at least until more answers would come to him. At the end of each day, he would often be unwinding with a drink at the Quicksand or attending major gatherings around the city, Y'uraq made every effort to earn himself a reputation among the Ul'dahns at every chance he could. He sometimes found himself in the company of other travelers and passerbys.

With tensions rising in the north, Y'uraq and his crewmates were briefed and dispatched on a mission by the Immortal flames. Their objective was to aid the war-torn nation of Ishgard in skirmish against the invading Dravanians and their heretic lackeys.
Despite his expertise in melee combat, the commander of the fireborn insisted there was more benefit in Y'uraq as a scout. Despite his own wishes, Y'uraq complied with orders and equipped a bow for the mission. The Party consisted of a handful, including Garen Stone, Liliana Stone, Altonio Salaphone along with a few other cewmates in the Fireborn. The crew ventured north of Camp Dragonhead and clear the reported heretics in the area.
Y'uraq lack of experience cost him to stuffer an arrow's sting. Y'uraq felt a searing pain scald into his veins, rendering his left arm weak. His mind struggled to focus and aim. before the poison caused him to pass out. The Fireborn fought on without him through the ambush, Fighting off the heretics until their sudden retreat encouraged his crewmates to take Y'uraq and the other wounded to recover in relative safety. Y'uraq's poison was veiled with esuna, and his wounds were healed in a matter of moments thanks to the talented conjurer. Y'uraq sprung back into action and tracked the craven heretics to a cave further north.
Just when victory seemed at reach, the last of the heretics fled further into the cave, calling for their dragon's protection. The Fireborn soon found themselves engaging a colossal wyrm. The battle began and Y'uraq aimed a shot for the dragon's broad neck before it's massive scales deflected his arrow like a wet toothpick. The dragon ignored Y'uraq, and focused more on Garen and the other mercenaries at its feet. Y'uraq took the opportunity and began to scale up the cavern walls for a higher ground. Down below, Garen led his crew in a losing battle against the wyrm. Y'uraq managed to secure his footing, turning just in time to watch his crew in the midst of disaster. Y'uraq looked down at Garen, Altonio and a third pinned under the dragon's clutches, another was collapsed by the cavern walls, and Liliana was nowhere to be seen.
Y'uraq wasted no time attempting to aim an exploding shot at the dragon's head but only succeeded in stunning the beast from crushing his allies beneath its clutches. Y'uraq readied another exploding arrow, and aimed his bow high above toward the gaping cave's ceiling. A thunderous crash echoed from the cavern walls as massive ice shards fell and shattered into the floor, Garen and Altonio remained in the relative safety of dragon's clutches. The dragon roared in agony as the ice fell, pinned pierced past the great wyrm into the ground.
The party regrouped in the aftermath with Liliana accounted as missing in action. Y'uraq and the Fireborn regrouped and returned to Ul'dah. Fortunately, Liliana was found alive and well in the following suns and Y'uraq was able to wind down from another near-death experience. His thoughts often circled around his most recent achievement, filling him with a sense of pride and confidence in his own talent he wielded. Y'uraq continued to train along his his new friend and crewmate, Altonio. Before long, Y'uraq's curiosity was stirred over the mentions of Halatali, the Grindstone, and the numerous gladiator pits across Eorzea.
With his competitive spirit re-ignited, Y'uraq became enthusiastic of the benefits, fame and glory that could ensue, and became determined to make his mark and a name for himself as a competitive Gladiator.

Since his adventure in Coerthas, Y'uraq spent much of his time honing his skills under the Sultanguard and the Fireborn. He strived to train hard, pushing his body to the limits and through the pain. Y'uraq finally decided to test his skills at the Rum'n'rumble tournament in La Noscea. Where he would face against perils of a common person, but his vicious swordplay was second to none of the crazed and bizarre foes he fought. In the end, Y'uraq walked away with a million gil in prize money, marking his name among other noted Eorzean gladiators. And more than enough gil to live comfortably for a while.
In the coming weeks, Y'uraq became more involved as a duelist. Relying on his fury, training, and instinct as he bashed, slashed, and thrashed his way into victory. Y'uraq would often pass into the third, or even fourth round up the ladder, surprising spectators and judges alike. From overpowering larger foes, to matching his quicker foes with his own speed before it'd be over for them. Despite his best efforts, the eventual fatigue and lack of proper heals from prior fights would only take his battlelust so far.
Realizing this, Y'uraq left notices across every market and board across Ul'dah in search of a personal conjurer to assist him. A few suns passed until he met and hired Arzu Dilara, whom more than proved her resourcefulness after a splashing first impression. Before long, Arzu revealed herself to be living among other refugees outside city walls. In concern for his new friend and "pocket conjurer", Y'uraq was quick to offer Arzu a second job as his housekeeper, allowing her a place to sleep in his private estate in exchange for looking after the house during his absence while training with the Fireborn in the Coerthan Highlands to the west.
Since his return, Y'uraq's training and perseverance in the frozen wastes paid off. Earning reputation as a duelist across the rings as he claimed a few more championships. With his trusted conjurer at his side, Y'uraq continued challenging every competition he caught wind of. His growing popularity attracted the attention of many fans, rivals and curious spectators. Among them was a curious, young Xaela woman named Sarnai Kha. After a brief meeting, Y'uraq went on to re-tell Sarnai of his journey, his visions, and his nightmares. Sarnai confirmed Y'uraq was indeed 'gifted' of a power wrought by his own dark reflection on the verge of re-awakening. By the end of their conversation, Sarnai agreed to mentor Y'uraq in harnessing control over his dark power before it consumes him. Y'uraq and Sarnai met and studied frequently at the Arrzaneth Ossuary. Sarnai went to lecture and teach Y'uraq about the fundamentals of becoming a Dark Knight. Sarnai introduced and began to guide Y'uraq through his first meditation, at least since his time at the conjurer's guild many moons ago.

After finally realizing the dangers Sarnai warned him of, Y'uraq returned to Arzu. And revealed to her the entirety of his darkside, and the dangers his arrogant disobedience has brought him to.
A few days after reconciling from their argument, Y'uraq returned to his home from a friendly training session with a friend and fellow duelist, only to find Arzu bleeding to half death in his own study, his belongings were thrown and scattered leading to signs of a struggle in his own home. Gripped with fear, Y'uraq's mind was entirely clouded with the though of losing the woman he loved. Despite their efforts to fight in, the three are trapped and captured for execution. Y'uraq arrives to see much of his ruined village already being reclaimed by nature, Burnt down ruins, weathered tools, weapons and decomposed remains of his tribe and few invading pirates that fell were all he could find. Y'uraq spent the following days mourning for his fallen tribe, struggling to hang on to his sanity and overcome the remorse for his dark deeds. Sarnai's words of wisdom was his only peace, but his twisted self reveled him into an agonizing turmoil as Y'uraq fell and writhed in agony as he felt himself being torn apart.
When it all ended. Y'uraq looked up to his twisted reflection looking back at him. Y'uraq and his own darkside exchanged clashing words in person, before he was coaxed into releasing the reins, and experience true freedom. Y'uraq furiously rejects his darkside's offer, engaging in combat and heralding the hour of his joining. Y'uraq and his darkside clashed on, before his own strength waned only a few moments into his trial as his darkside gained the upper hand. the darkness began to coax Y'uraq toward surrendering to the power and freedom to do what they both wanted. Y'uraq struggled on, through the ordeal knowing full well what he'd become if came all this way to fall again.
Y'uraq was knocked and beaten into submission as his darkness slashed and thrashed as barely hung on. In attempt to incite fear loss his darkness spoke of Arzu as the first person he'd kill to free himself from her significance once and for all. Despite his injured state, Y'uraq's spirit surged with summoned strength and took the offensive against his unscathed darkness before landing a direct spinning slash severing his shadow's own manifested blade from its appendage. Y'uraq's spur waned as both he and his own darkside collapsed together in shambles. Y'uraq raised his arm readying the conclusion of his ritual as he struggled to keep his hand raised and his mind together as the last of his lost memories, the night of his daring escape, before it all began. His vision waned and his waking mind slipped from fatigue unable to complete the ritual as he and his weakened shadow rejoined in a bitter stalemate.
Y'uraq awoke from the ordeal several hours later, able recall the entirety of his trial until the very end. He was uncertain of the outcome, but he couldn't feel the aching tension or the clouded thoughts that plagued him for moons. Y'uraq made his way back to Thanalan.
Still scarred and exhausted from living in ruins Y'uraq made his way back to his home in the goblet, only to find Arzu waiting to recieve him. Y'uraq's darkside showed no turmoil, further convincing him that he was in control now.The two parted ways as Arzu was relinquished from her duties to Y'uraq. Through it all, Y'uraq practised control of his emotions as difficult as it proved to stare at her and not take it all back.
In the end, Y'uraq felt a bittersweet victory. for once since it all began, he felt nothing.

Regardless, Y'uraq's own logic saw his situation as someting more ideal. Because he no emotional attachment for Katiti, he would not be risking himself, or those around him. It was the perfect opportunity to enjoy as "normal" a life as possible, or so he thought.

Even though Y'uraq was very happy to see Arzu again, though he struggled to restrain himself, he couldn't help but hug her. What I will Roleplay
- Story arcs - I'm a sucker for a great story line and long-term RP!
- Romance - I am fine for romance as long as it occurs over time and is not forced. Y'uraq is not meant to be with just anyone. If your character has an interest in him, then work for it! Don't expect him to be yours in 1-2 weeks. I make people work for it to ensure they aren't just after one thing.
- Conflict - Conflict happens everywhere and that's great. I'm looking for antagonists/enemies/rivals to raise stakes with. (IC'ly, of course.)
- "R Rated" / MRP / Darker Themes - I am fine with the possibility of being part of a story arc that includes violent, dramatic, and/or obscene scenes and plot points. In addition, I am fine with Y'uraq facing his own moments of weakness, and defeat. Including being beaten, and tortured along with mental torment. However, keep in mind I do not want to have this happening every day/week/month. I expect these to be nothing more than scenes and important plot points and helping someone progress their story or my own.
What I will not Roleplay with!
- Plain ERP - If you're looking to 'just cyber' out of the blue? No thanks, I'm not interested.
- Complete disregard to Lore.
- Death/ Rebirth - If Y'uraq dies, he dies. I decide when it happens. No one is allowed to kill him unless I decide to end his story that way/ plan to perma-quit FFXIV with a bang.
