What's in a name?

At first glance, Aura as she calls herself is a typical Miqo'te with very few outstanding features. The type of woman you'd walk past in Ul'dah and not give a second glance to save for perhaps the fleeting pondering of what she might look like in a dancer's costume.

And that is precisely the way she wants it.

For all intends and purposes, Aura just seemed to appear a few months ago on the Limsian Shoreline. Beaten and flayed within an inch of her life, she was lucky enough to be rescued by the kind and benevolent members of the Midnight Pearl. She washed ashore with no memory of her former life and suffering heavily from various panic attacks and PTSD from her experiences as the crew can attest to. Despite her condition, she pressed on. Performing missions with the company and attempting to recover what she could of her life. She was known as a kind girl, easily upset by violence and regretful of actions she was forced to commit.

She met new acquaintances and friends both new and old. She endeavored to discover her past yet it was not known if she succeeded.

Then, one day, Aura bid farewell to the crew of the Pearl and made an impromptu move to Ul'dah. What motivated this is unknown and communication all but ceased between her and her former allies.

She can be spotted now around Ul'dah and Thanalan, rarely alone and often in the company of gentleman - some of whom can rarely be overheard calling her by another name. Along with the change in local, her personality changed from kind and curious to snippet and brash. Not known for immediate kindness, she will shirk off many initial attempts at conversation unless something specific piques her interest. If her interest is piqued she will initiate conversation, occasionally verbally toying with the person.

OOC INFORMATION

Aura is an old character with a lot of history. I struggled to reinvent her a bit when I returned to the game as I didn't quite feel her story was over. She's very much come into herself as of late and found a niche with players who can accept her for the diabolical, jaded, lying, evil bitch (with a selective heart of gold) that she is. ♥

I always underscore to players that she is evil. Lawful Evil Type 2 specifically. If this is not something that will jive with you and your roleplay then feel free to let me know and I will not take it personally. Most often, Aura is played as a villain in closed RP with players I am quite familiar with. If you see her in passing and she does respond to you do not be surprised if she vanishes without a trace as this is pretty much her nature.

Are you looking for a villain? I am very open to Aura being involved in criminal plots! Need information gathered, something smuggled, shipped or perhaps a person killed? While she used to have more scruples, these days she's more open minded and recruited open minded people around her to help accomplish such requests. Feel free to reach out to me in game to discuss this! However, if you are looking for a villain that can or will be killed at the end of an arc then she is not for you as I have no intentions of fantasia/rerolling her at this time.
