Traits
Skills
General Thanks to years at sea, Tyriont is an expert sailor. While he may not be a master at any one aspect of keeping the ship running - he built a crew based upon finding people who could do something better than he could - he's something of a jack of all trades, able to jump in and do what needs to be done at a competent skill level. Having grown up traveling and performing with his father he is also quite capable in the musical arts, with a particular affinity for the fiddle.
Combat Tyriont's preferred form of fighting is either from a distance utilizing his skill with a bow, or with a small, light blade. While he has the upper body strength to wield heavier weapons, he finds himself unable to do so with much dexterity. Thanks to years of bar fights (and more than a few angry boyfriends/husbands), he is also quite capable at unarmed combat.
Weaknesses Tyriont has an almost crippling fear of heights. As such, he despises airships and avoids them when at all possible. As a side effect, his balance leaves much to be desires when in precarious positions and he has a tendency to fall fairly frequency. He also has a strong weakness for alcohol and is easily blinded by an attractive woman.

Demeanor
In the Myers-Briggs personality spectrum, Tyriont falls under the ENFP category. Outgoing, energetic and personable, he has the ability to strike up a conversation with just about anybody. However, he is extremely quick to anger when he perceives a threat to someone he cares for and tends to strike first before fully understanding a situation. He is confident to the point of arrogance, but usually well meaning.

Friends
- Erisande Marchand: Tyriont met Erisande in the Soliloquy Tavern and began working his charms on her. After a situation involving a stolen airship pass, he provided her passage to Gridania. During the journey, he came to develop a genuine fondness for the girl who has proven an ability to knock the usually fairly unflappable Tyriont off balance.
- Renaise Galwind: Tyriont and Renaise go way back, with Ren having been a member of the Phoenix Pirates for a while before vanishing. Upon his return, the two teamed up as part of the Spectral Wardens before being separated again during the events leading up to the Calamity.
Acquaintances
- Abaigeal Causland: While only meeting relatively recently, Tyriont has quickly grown rather fond of Abai thanks to her friendly nature and how easy it is to make her blush - something which amuses him greatly.
- Mirion Black: Thanks to his willing involvement in Ty's drunken date auction, he views the gladiator favourably and will happily seek him out for a drink should they wind up in the same establishment.
- Xenedra Ambreaus: Xenedra is what Croix would refer to as "exactly the type of woman we need to keep Ty away from". Thanks to her flirtatious nature and willingness to engage in games, Tyriont has come to see her as something of a kindred spirit. This is not necessarily a good thing.
- Yssen Van: Tyriont has shared drinks with Yssen a couple of times thanks to Xenedra. The combination of 'The Sexy Pirate King' and 'The Bandit King' is one that greatly amused Tyriont and during a game of 'King', he decided that the two clearly share enough similar attitudes that he is quite interested in getting to know the man better.
- Aries Laharl: Tyriont was introduced to Aries when the man drunkenly ran at Ty in greeting, causing Ty to punch him in the face which lead to the man almost drowning in a foot of water. Since then, Ty has been unable to shake the man - although he's more amused by his drunken antics than he would care to admit.
- Raenef Laharl: After discovering that Raenef is a follower of his Mother's work, Ty agreed to introduce them. He is currently trying to recruit Rae to help with various archaeological expeditions - a.k.a Ty's "Treasure Hunts".
Foes
- Denavial Calgar: A former member of the Phoenix Pirates, Denavial was kicked out when the true nature of his alchemical experiments were revealed. While rarely directly antagonistic, Tyriont and the rest of the crew feel a certain degree of responsibility for Denavial's actions and oppose him when they find evidence of further schemes.
- Kylin Felstar: Tyriont was hired twice by Kylin as part of the man's schemes to win back his former lover, Gerik Aston. Upon meeting Gerik face-to-face, Tyriont was unable to bring himself to deceive the man and took actions to ruin the plan. Kylin recruited his sister, Elza Ashfen in an attempt to pin blame for an faked assault upon Aysun Demiir - an event which Kylin himself had hired Tyriont for. The plan failed and Tyriont is now determined to ruin the Felstar name.
