Sardonic. Deceptive. Wicked.

Reproachful and flippant, Reaper is often revered from afar. There is no warmth within an undead vessel, no kindness left to nurture. Betrayal has etched itself deeply into an unbeating heart bereft of compassion and humanity. Where once a select few could be called upon as trusted, there remains no hope within a soul made wretched and distrustful. People are regarded with an unrepentant demeanor; little more than cattle to be herded until an immoral hunger stirs and demands of Reaper inhumane sustenance. Many are those received with blatant derision and eloquent witticism, as though the plight of mortals is of no importance or credence. This usually alludes to the misconception that he is egotistical, but it is simply hatred for the world that has wrought such uncouth wariness.

Those unfortunate to pique this creature’s interest will only find cryptic companionship. Not unlike the umbral element that he reigns, Reaper oftentimes secludes himself and is prone to wanderlust. You will find no sympathy in him—and friendship is but a dream that which he has woken from. Where once his loyalty was incorruptible and unconditional, circumstance and fate have rebirthed a monster through their cruelty. Thus, Reaper endeavors only to return the favor.

A P P E A R A N C E

Elegance. Ferocity. Enigmatic.

Seekers of the Sun have always been renowned for their physical capabilities; they are the pinnacle of dexterity and strength, and excel in most areas of somatic activity—with a few exceptions. Reaper is not one of those exceptions. He is a creature woven of lithe athleticism and elegant prowess, with a physique that conveys no less. Relatively tall of stature compared to others of his ilk, this subtly tanned Seeker stands at just over five-fulms and eight-ilms. Faceted by honed and agile muscle, with several discrete scars scattered along a taut torso.

One particularly noticeable scar sits diagonal between a pale brow and shockingly vibrant eyes. Droplets of peridot and turquoise framed by sooty sclerae, and the silken descent of an alabaster mane. Contrast to a snowy allure are also naturally black pigmented nails kept neatly trimmed, and ebon tattoos along the rightmost half of his body. He moves with a practiced and consciously soundless stride where permitted by terrain, and is oftentimes described as prowling. Everything about Reaper bespeaks of a languid albeit confident feline, one that can be misleadingly complacent upon first glance. Do not forget that you’re in the presence of a monster and when provoked appearances can be most deceiving.

Rarely are the occasions worn without a whimsically fanged bandana secured over the bridge of a straight nose and lean jawline, an article that obscures the Reaper’s identity.

T H E W H I T E W O L F

Take the monster away... and you have a noble philanthropist whose ideals align with just morality. Few would fathom the murderer hidden behind a demure façade and the guise of a blindfold; to the populace this enigmatic albeit revered gentleman is known only as Feine the White Wolf. Endearingly nicknamed after the fiercely protective hoarhound that he is rarely seen without. A companion that acts both as his bodyguard and aid—for this noble is woefully sightless and has never before removed his blindfold in public.

The White Wolf made his first and foremost appearance during a masquerade hosted within the hallowed halls of Ishgard, a night many remember for the death of its gracious host. Beyond a presumably inherited wealth there is little else known about Feine, who took it upon himself to compose a socially accepted alter-ego. To mingle with the unsuspecting sheep. Since his debut he’s donated funds for many purposes and establishments, but among the most notable and heartwarming was the restoration of a once debilitated orphanage located just beyond the city proper of Ishgard. Of which is visited frequently in an effort to help tend the children that have come to adore his companionship. Holidays are extravagantly celebrated within the orphanage and never is a child left to want.

When his duties have been fulfilled for the sun, Feine can oftentimes be found scouting the snowy regions of Coerthas alongside Freyja, his faithful hoarhound. Formal and affluent garb is exchanged for an attire befit a rogue, and despite his disability has proven to possess a breathtaking aptitude with dagger-wielding.

P E R S O N A & A P P E A R A N C E

Decorum. Generosity. Heroic.

Of touchable moonlight cascade tresses oftentimes gathered into a lustrous braid, fringe irrepressibly ladled upon subtly tanned features. Many are those envious of a mane that which contrasts a perpetually worn black blindfold. Despite a blatant disability this leonine is possessed of a careful albeit silent gait that belies an intrinsic predator. Chaste of fashion, conscious effort is taken to conceal telltale skeins that scrawl the rightmost hemisphere of a sculpted torso and sleeves are worn long or makeshift by wrappings. Adroitly muscled and regal of posture, he stands eight-ilms over five-fulms and wears a quiet intensity.

Debonair would be the word to describe this mysterious creature who speaks pleasantly, tenor a caress of steel oft laced in soothing velvet. Branded ascetic despite a decidedly sardonic if sometimes morbid sense of humor, Feine is not to be mistaken for heartless or unkind—he only maintains a professional distance from all but animals and children. Those deemed innocent and worthy of a gentler and placid demeanor that might eventually unfold for others who prove persistent and trustworthy.

Few luxuries are spared and this extends to his generosity. Donations and fundraisers will generally find the White Wolf in attendance, always accompanied by a loyal hoarhound or devoted butler.

■Grim. Beware the cloak forged of writhing darkness. In this state Grim enables Feine to traverse through neighboring shadows. Though, in exchange for its defensive properties Grim can solidify into a large dark-aspected scythe.

Note: Attacks made by Grim are considered dark-aspected magic.

■Shadowmancy. By the remnant of a soulstone safeguarded within an undead vessel is he granted dominion over darkness. Shadows can be used to shroud Feine or allies, or impede enemies. Through them his sensory is also extended to their far reaches.

Note: Feine can expand his sight, hearing and speech to ambient shadows.

■ Mémoire Eater. He retains some of his victim’s memories after the consumption of their brain.

■ Undeath. His body can recover from injury at an increased rate compared to mortals.

Note: This is dependent on the severity and cause of the injury, and his consumption of nourishment. Severed limbs cannot be regenerated but may be reattached.

My Do’s & Don’t’s

Consent. Please, please, please discuss your ideas with your RP partners! Ideas are great only when they are consented! This is especially important when any idea directly involves someone else’s character in any way. Permanent or even temporary imprisonment of any form is something that should always be done with a mutual agreement between all parties involved! This includes all forms of imprisonment: physical, mental and emotional. If at any point your character plans to somehow confine mine, by any means, you must first discuss this with me! Forcing any kind of “bond” or “tether” is another form of imprisonment. If at any point Reaper's free will is impeded this is a form of imprisonment and is not okay without my consent.

My character is classified as “undead” and this allows necromancers some control over him. These are terms that must still be agreed upon prior! There are limitations and exceptions to what I’ll allow my character to do or not do even while under a necromancer’s influence, and these must be made very clear before proceeding with the plotline. In short, if it involves any of my characters I ask that you first talk to me—my permission is required for anything regarding them. Whether it’s IC development or something OOC, like commissioning artwork of my character. Please respect me as a writer and my characters, do not plagiarize my concepts and always ask first.

Mirroring. “Mirror-RP” is when an RPer tries to match or “mirror” the length and style of their RP partner. I’ll be honest and say I don’t think it’s a great idea. I encourage individualism—we are all unique and how we write is unique to us. Please don’t try to “mirror” my RP length/style, I’ve actually had several accounts where my partners attempt this and then later complain about feeling overwhelmed/exhausted. This usually leads to lengthy downtime between posts and eventually dropping the RP scene altogether, which isn’t very fun or considerate to your RP partners. Take pride in your own writing no matter the length or style!

Exceptions. While I’d consider myself a “mature roleplayer” there are a few exceptions and things I just won’t RP. No ERP or romance. Any permanent damage, be it emotional or physical, must only be done with the writer's permission, as well!

Plot-Driven. I love creating storylines, especially with my RP partners! “Tavern” RP can also be fun but I’d like to build upon those foundations and really get the characters involved in some misadventure together!

Lore. I’ll be the first to admit that I’ve got a lot to learn about the world of Eorzea but also really enjoy adding my own flavor to the mix. While I won’t blatantly break any lore that I’m aware of, I do encourage creativity and uniqueness in my own characters. All I ask is that if you are very lore heavy, just be civil. If you notice something of mine contradicts the official lore in any way let me know.

Gore. Everyone has their own personal preferences. By default Feine can be a very gory character (he literally eats people), but I’ve no problem censoring this or completely avoiding these aspects of his character if this in any way bothers you! Please just let me know so that I can provide a comfortable writing experience for you.

Other Stuffs

Posts. My posts can be considered “para” by RP standards. If you don’t like long or wordy replies just let me know and I’ll adjust accordingly! In-game you’ll find the length of my posts tend to lean toward only several lines. This is both to accommodate the flow of the RP and also be considerate of our RP surroundings, especially in crowded areas.

Where. I tend to favor RP outside of the actual game and generally prefer doing most of my RPing on Skype or via PM through the RPC. In-game RP is something I do sparingly but if you prefer this, I will gladly meet you in-game for some casual RP!

When. I’m MST and my schedule is fairly erratic, but I’m usually available from 10pm – 6am (~~Tue/Wed~~) in-game. For RP through Skype/RPC this doesn’t apply nearly as much, as both are treated more like “forum-style” and will be replied to throughout the day as I’m able to sneak in some spare time by the computer!

Characters. Feine's got a slightly younger brother which I also RP. If you'd like someone more sociable you might prefer meeting Khaz!

Potential Plot Hooks

The Pale Reaper

■ Victims. Feine has accumulated a list of victims. If you’d like to submit a victim for a potential plot hook, just PM me a short description of the character and their location, with a memory or two of theirs for Feine to keep!

■ Ul’dah. A brutal murder marked the unofficially dubbed “Beggar’s Alley” with a bloodied painting of a scythe upon the alley walls. Several beggars were found dismembered, but several more bore witness to the atrocity and still live to tell about it.

■ Garleans. To sate an unholy hunger, Feine was fed his first immoral meal... who happened to be a Garlean soldier stationed at an outpost. Before his untimely demise the soldier was able to radio in “The Reaper” as his murderer.

The White Wolf

■ Philanthropist. There’s a mysterious nobleman that funded the restoration of a debilitated orphanage in Ishgard. He first debuted during a masquerade remembered for the murder of its gracious host, perhaps you’ve heard of him?

■ White Wolf. When the duties of decorum have been fulfilled, Feine oftentimes roams Coerthas beside his wolf, Freyja. You may have seen them in the snowy regions.

■ Freyja. A group of poachers were massacred during an illegal hunting excursion. A hoarhound had been marked as their quarry but the party never returned—and the wolf now faithfully follows her master, Feine. Might you recognize the wolf beside their murderer?

■ Blind. Perpetually garbed in a black blindfold, many have come to learn that the enigmatic Feine is sightless. Rarely is he seen without the wolf by his side, which seems to act both as a sentinel and aid during their many travels. Many have attempted to take advantage of this disability, how might you fare?

■ VIP. With the rise of reputable deeds under his belt, it’s little surprise to find Feine’s name stamped on formal invitations. He attends many festivities and parties.
