Childhood
"Well I'm the son...daughter...son? Daughter....bah. I'm Jenne Steel's child. Never knew my father, mother wasn't one to talk about him. She's tight lipped about any other siblings I might have too so your guess is as good as mine. All I know was that I delivered by pirates panicking for their lives not knowing how to be a midwife. Some say I was lucky to be born with all my limbs. I'd wager the first thing I see was that scary seawolf with the trident beard holding me in his hand. Of course the beard's gone but still. Granted, now that I think about it, I never stopped pulling that beard. Shame it's gone now. At any rate, I got into the world and Wineport was my gateway and so was Raincatcher Gully I suppose. I think I grew up in a weird fashion. I didn't have children to play with me so the crewmen were in charge of keeping me entertained, playing games and all that."
Teenage
"It was probably at this time of my life my mother got it in her head to drill me in use an axe. Usually it was practicing basic motions by earning my keep and chopping lumber. Though the way the lumber was chopped was always up to my mother. I guess I built a good deal of muscle if I do say so myself thankfully I still sort of retain it. Grimryss took it upon himself to teach me how to catch fish and avoid anything nasty while doing so. Built a lot of patience at least. R'xin finally got around to showing me why he was so integral to the Red Alexis...I'm sorry, Redde Alexis. Learned to make some home favorites I still cook and serve. Then we had this one guy, I think Elise her name was, didn't know where mom got her but she was in charge of teaching me how to read and write. Half the time I was busy being a teenaged boy the other half was actually studying. I think that was the first time I went 'wow, she's beautiful' or I might just be sick of seeing the same pirate-y faces day in and day out. I don't know, I'm weird. I also found and nursed this wolf pup outside in Raincatcher Gully, didn't know how she got there but leaving her to coeurls may not be the brightest idea. Anyway called her Apple and everyone had some pet to look after..much like how they looked after me as a babe and a child. And just as I hit 18 summers I was given Butts. We butt heads way to many times and don't be surprised when we still do today."
