General

Alicia is a middle child in a fairly large family. After some years attempting to toil away within Amajina & Sons Mineral Concern's mines, as all in her family had for at least some amount of time, she quickly veered away from the actual physical aspects of things toward more behind the scenes endeavors such as process, policy, and eventually research. Research would be where she quickly gained prominence within the company and soon found herself whisked away to the company's research division. Unfortunately, after a heated disagreement over her contract that ended in a lot of vandalism and property damage, Alicia found herself sans employment. Shortly after stopping off in Limsa Lominsa she heard of a Free Company that had recently fought and won against Leviathan. She was surprised to soon find herself asking them for a job and further surprised by the leader's interest.

Since joining, she's found herself increasingly disenchanted with only being stuck in her room, staring at tomes until her brain liquefies. She has since been seeking out training among friends and the guilds of Eorzea, which she's certain is a terrible idea.

Appearance

Alicia has a head of long, red hair and skin that could said to be sun-kissed if we assume the sun is a very aggressive kisser. She stands at 5 fulm, 6 ilms and holds a surprisingly fit physique for such a bookworm, which she can thank Ferai's ceaseless training regiment for. She has a minor, light scar on her left calf from a mining accident. Her sense of fashion is largely lacking and tends to be based more around utility than attractiveness.

Behavior

Alicia deals with most of her problems with humor. She's socially anxious, cynical, and obsessive, which she tends to laugh off with sarcasm and ridiculous comments. Despite this, she's stubborn to her core and borders on arrogant. She's convinced she knows better until proven otherwise. While she is quick to listen, she's also quick to dismiss advice or information she can't agree with.

Friends ●❤Khairen Tumet - When Onuma met Khairen, it was under the circumstances of the 81st heading out to the central Coerthas highlands on the conditions that they would be hunting an old adversary. It was during a time that she had a near-death experience that they really began to talk, and over time had gotten to know each other. It came as a surprise then when he asked for her hand in courtship. It came as an even bigger surprise (to many) that she accepted. There has been scarcely a time Onuma has not enjoyed being within Khairen's company, and often has to stop herself from looking overly affectionate in the eyes of the public. But recently, things went downhill when she tried to take it a step further, and the attempt was met with (what she perceives as) rejection. Ashamed and embarrassed over her behavior, Onuma was deeply hurt and has chosen to keep to herself. She is uncertain about his feelings toward her, now. ●❤Rhesh'ir Zhwan - In recent moons, Onuma and Rhesh'ir have grown extremely close, to a point that she has almost seemed protective of him, even from afar. Most of their interaction came between her instructions over his newfound abilities as a paladin but, beyond that, they've shared a quiet bond that won't be easily broken like in the past. However, Lyfriel's death crushed not only Onuma, but Rhesh'ir as well. Seeing his pain only worsens hers, and with only himself to parent Riel'a, Onuma has already vowed to watch him closely, and tend to his and his child's care. ●❤Ralamano Nulumano - After a harrowing and emotional evening Onuma realized that Ralamano and she are like as the same people with the same background and uprising -- to an extent. Onuma now expresses complete devotion toward this man; he is surely one she will blanket and shoulder for days to come. His physical condition has left her worried about how he will be able to handle being in the field in the future, and how that affects him emotionally, but she continues to have faith that he will press on. Onuma will continue to watch him closely. ●❤Fen'rin Taveck - Fen'rin was almost lost to the 81st -- Onuma felt that to be a particular failing on her behalf. His return and stay has since put her at ease and as such she watches him like a hawk to ensure he remains within their reach. Given the time that was needed for the two to mend over the situation, his growth as a mender, and as a person, their relationship is renewed and Onuma does all that she can to protect what she values and sees as her family. Lyfriel's death has awakened a fresh pain in Onuma, causing her to seek out ways to protect her family and watch over them. Fen'rin is one she will keep close as much as she can. ●❤Dawson Colwell - Onuma has come to be Dawson's rock, or tries to be any way, shape, or form. His trials have opened her eyes to many things. It warmed her heart when Dawson confessed that he was beginning to have a change of heart about Lotan'to. However, while she is happy to be considered a sister to this man, Onuma didn't appear to wholly approve of his relationship with Fen'rin. Since witnessing the progress of his and Fen'rin's relationship, Onuma has taken a step back, choosing not to intervene. Onuma and Dawson shared a profound sense of loss upon witnessing Lyfriel's brutal death, and now she strives for the two of them, as godmother and godfather, to assist Rhesh'ir and care for Riel'a in Lyfriel's absence. ●❤Keaira Twinning - Onuma did not meet Twinning until much time passed over the course of the events that happened during the 81st's venture through the Crystal Tower. She at first had made the assumption that a lot of Twinning's interest lay in Rhesh'ir, which (admittedly) gave Onuma some initial and due caution, but that wariness melted away the more they began to talk. Since their friendship bloomed, Twinning has shown Onuma an insight over life that she otherwise shares the sentiment of. Onuma does not hesitate to call Keaira her friend and, more often than not of late, she confides in her. Onuma considers the circumstances and struggles they had gone through, and what the damage that pain left in their lives. In Keaira There's a dimly lit fire that threatens to blow out if but a strong wind can snuff it out, but Onuma refuses and has vowed not to let that happen. ●❤Ferai Caolann - Onuma has known Ferai for as long as he was a girl, and known her mother, O'lyenna. Always a bit of a troublemaker, she has known Ferai to be both a handful and a warm-hearted person beneath the rough edges of his outer exterior. When Onuma left Ul'dah, she didn't hear from the two nearly as much. What a surprise it was when Ferai turned up on the 81st's doorstep, many moons down the path. Since then, Onuma has seen to caring for Ferai like a surrogate parent, before and after his change from a young woman to a male. Recent events have forced this role upon her, with O'lyenna's assassination. While Onuma still has trouble using the proper term for Ferai, she loves him no less. Saving him from the brink of death and helping him to achieve his freedom brought some sense of relief in her. ●❤Vesna Novaar - Recent events have made Onuma realize she lost something she could have taken care of. However, while that responsibility has shifted to another's care, the woman was surprised by Vesna's return of affections and adoration. Being able to see Vesna as a friend, and not as a servant, has put Onuma at ease. Being reminded that all was not lost made her feel all the better. She has not seen Vesna for some odd moons, and hopes that wherever she is, her friend is okay. ●❤Ainle Goldpaw - Onuma met this younger sunseeker in Ul'dah many moons ago. She thought him the quiet and reserved sort, something she could relate to heavily. The two share a love for the path of the paladin, and through him she finds a bond that isn't easily broken. His support for her has only strengthened her, and in a way, he reminds her of Lin. She has not seen him in some time, but given their busy schedules, she thinks fondly of him and wishes him well. ●❤E'liah Tia - E'liah can be considered one of the youngest kits of the 81st. From the moment they met, Onuma realized this young miqo'te had a big heart. That openness can be a double-edged blade, as has been proven in the past. She has not spoken with E'liah in sometime, but if she is given to understand the situation, that E'liah is now a young woman does not deter the Keeper. It is a welcome surprise. She still sees E'liah as a younger sibling-figure. ●❤Tertersa Terin - Otherwise known as Crystal to Onuma, this young lalafell girl quickly attached herself to the Keeper woman. No amount of shaking off would pull her free of that, and as their relationship has grown just a little bigger, Onuma finds herself looking after the lalafellin girl like she would her own child. The brilliant smithy continues to interest the crafty side of her -- she has performed in ways that even Onuma has not considered of own her accord. Truly, she is both a mystery and soft-hearted angel. ●Kikira Kira - Onuma, while she likes Kikira, finds her a bit of an enigma. She is incredibly emotional, and yet can be instantaneously intimidating in the same turn. Seeing the results of this explosive anger just once was enough to convince the Keeper that they should not earn her ire. Perhaps she'll learn more about where this hidden energy fueled by pain comes from. ●Zarek Earthshaker - Onuma finds a kindred and like-minded soul within Zarek. Though she is largely unsure of who or -what- he is, she is content to be his friend. They share similarities in more ways than one, and their quiet natures do not clash. Sometimes it really is just the simple things. ●Vyncent Tanner - A foul-mouthed man that Onuma has sometimes believed to be of ill-repute, Tanner's a person with very basic needs and a guarded history that he won't share. Like Twinning, Onuma can see through his rough exterior, and despite his attitude toward her, she can tell he exposes a genuine sense of care with the people he chose to accompany. Even if he keeps them at an arm's reach. If there's one thing she can admit about him, it's that he knows how to carve his way through their foes without hesitation. ●Mizuki Hagane - A very bubbly Au Ra that Onuma met at the free company home, when she was making a delivery to a sick Y'lyfriel at the time. While she couldn't understand her overly joyful nature, it didn't take long for Onuma to soften up to Mizuki, and it only made her more caring and thankful for her nature when Onuma nearly succumbed to a poison that was left to fester and eat away at her, having succumbed to an ambush out at the highlands. Onuma is ever thankful for Mizuki's help, always sharing what food she has, noticing how scrawny and underfed the poor girl looks. Mizuki brings out a protective side of Onuma that she shows few others. ●Ehrinn Thorn - Onuma admires this woman for her efforts and for her fearlessness in the face of dirty work. The two of them oft share a similar perspective on things; though, it's Thorn that has a better explanation for her side of things, rather than Onuma. And she often believes that Thorn is one of the 81st's best assets. Resourceful, cunning, and ruthless; it's a much needed balance. ●Lynn'e Sparrow - Sparrow's carefree personality brings something of mixed feelings to Onuma, but after a particularly rough time leading groups around the central highlands, the woman herself could see the real person behind the front. It's given her a healthy reminder not to judge based on preconceptions. Now she tries to get along, even if that is by way of her harmlessly teasing him. He does show a brilliant mind where it counts ... when it's not blinded by glamour and treasure. ●Noor Falmah - Onuma and Noor's relationship appears to be repairing. The two have come to understand each other a lot more than they previously did, and even shared in some intimate conversation that Onuma did not even consider to share with anyone else. Truly, despite prior misgivings, Onuma sees a brilliant and innovative - if not unbridled - mind at work every time she sees Noor. ●Seda'li Tayuun - Onuma had not seen Seda'li for some time, until he had met Ferai. Perhaps it was because of their likeness to each other, or because of some attraction that brought their bonding together. Onuma does not know. What she does know is that Seda'li and her do not talk nearly enough, and hopes that can be remedied at some point in time. His disagreements with Rhesh'ir leave her concerned about his and Ferai's wellbeing in the future. ●Alicia Bennett - Originally a records keep for the Sons & Mineral Concern, Onuma has known little and then again some about who Alicia is, and where she and her family came from. She views the young woman as both witty and lofty, and perhaps because of that the two of them mesh well. She can tell that Alicia is still green when it comes to adventuring life, but her willingness to follow the 81st and grow with them impresses Onuma. ●Solelle Frilaix - Onuma was unaware of Solelle's unspoken absence from the 81st. Seeing her return was a welcome surprise, though it does make her question where the elezen went to. ●Lahn Flaval- Onuma's visit with Lahn some while ago was not enough -- she wants to visit her again in the nearby future; there's plenty the two have missed talk over. ●Rhysaufort Celestaux - Onuma met this elezen boy on a day when he just waltzed on in to the home without greeting himself first. Though this behavior made her distrusting of him at first, the Keeper warmed up to him incredibly fast. While he may not have the combat readiness that others possess, she finds his intuitive nature and resourcefulness a refreshing addition. He also kept her sane during her first real climb. ●Oriel Durand - Onuma has spoken with Oriel more than once, and now that she has, she kind of likes him. A bit quirky, but he certainly enjoys his rocks. And Onuma has to admit she does too, if for different reasons. The two connected over this fairly well, or so she believes. Thanks, rocks of Eorzea!

Enemies & Other Characters ●Yukiko Yue - After talking with Yue a second time, things seem to have calmed down. While she can't completely understand his situation, she can sympathize with his crestfallen spirits. Wherever he is right now, she hopes he's okay. ●Zanin Briggs- Onuma met Zanin through Lahn. She adores the older man, more than she cares to admit. He has been nothing but a welcome person and she is happy to assist him with his clinic however she can. Despite having to depart for a while, Onuma wants to be able to see him again at the earliest opportunity. His kind nature draws her to him. With Lotan'to's death, it may be just one of many places to distract herself. ●Mylene Wharf - Onuma met this young hyuran girl one day while she was sitting on a bench near the 81st's home. They spoke for quite some time, got to know each other a little here and there. Some of the subjects Onuma had to share perhaps disturbed the woman, but overall the experience was nothing short of pleasant. It's been some time since she saw Mylene but, if she had the opportunity to meet with her again, she would in a heartbeat. ●Zakrin Aier - Zakrin is a hyur Onuma doesn't spot all too often. He tends to be spotty, she's noticed, as they do not have terribly strong ties. However, she does respect him a great deal, and has come to understand him more beneath the almost paranoid nature he exhibits. She can tell he's a powerful swordsman, and so she sees him as a peer. A fellow guardian, as it were. ●Sizha'to Chalahko - Onuma hasn't known the male Keeper for very long, though she met him through X'linwh and found him decidedly pleasant. About Lin's age, she discovered, but he and the Sunseeker are malms apart in personality. She finds him a curiosity, despite. He's an intelligent sort, and though Gridanian, she feels as though there is a connection between them, small as it might be for the moment. The two ran into each other once, but it was at a bad time. Sadly, she's not seen him since. ●Kalulu Morusu (NPC) - Onuma's maidservant. She's a lalafell with a whiplash tongue and has no ends to her wit and banter. She's lived in Ul'dah all her life, but while some may think that unfortunate, Onuma fast discovered Kalulu had no end of lessons to teach. She utilizes them on a daily basis, and it's astounding just how much she can pass for a noblewoman. Needless to say, though, the mi'qote would be lying if she said she didn't prefer her to stay where she can keep an eye on her. ●Mutton (NPC) - Onuma's other retainer. He's a big, burly Hellsguard that takes it upon himself to be the 'guard' of the family when they're within a City-state, usually employing himself as a handy escort if not to be an available hand. Onuma grew fond of him the moment he opened his mouth. He can be grumpy, and he can certainly be mouthy, but no one could say he wasn't passionate about his duties; especially when he gets to enjoy his dreams as a cook, having been a student at the Bismarck. Of course, his mouth has sometimes gotten him into trouble, too. ●Ansgar Broadhaft - One of Onuma's very first friends. They met when she was out traveling on the fields, away from Ul'dah. They had a quiet friendship. Wherever he is, she tends to think back on their adventures together. ●Trisselle Rondelet - Onuma did not like this woman at first. She saw her as a potentially problematic addition to the 81st, due to her colored perceptions. When Onuma was at her weakest, though, Trisselle showed her there was a compassionate person beneath the icy exterior. Owing to misunderstandings, Onuma now feels like she should try to learn more about this magister. ●S'aerdha Tia - S'aerdha is a person of mixed feelings to Onuma. The two have rarely spoken, but while initially distrusting of him, she did come to learn his logic and way of thinking by far similar to her own. But unlike her, he plays the role of the proverbial thorn far more strongly than she ever could. She does want to eventually know more about him, as he has been one of the only allies to the free company thus far. For this she is thankful. ●Alex Castell - Onuma has not seen Alex for many moons. Wherever she is, Onuma spares only a few minutes to think about her and wonder over her whereabouts. ●C'aehli Ira - Onuma has not seen C'aehli ever since things went downhill in Coerthas. Vesna's lack of any memory over the woman who hired her has left her questioning what has happened between the two of them. Deceased ●❤Onu Ahntifi - (Presumed Deceased) - Onuma's mother. Some important event caused their tribe to split, but Onuma was too young to remember at the time. When her and her family boarded a ship to make voyage to Eorzea, a terrible and raging storm put them in perilous danger. Onuma believes she was swallowed by the sea. She has not seen her since then. ●❤Ank'a Jawantal - (Deceased) - Onuma and Jhi's sire. He was a plantation farmer, and so placid that he could have been considered a pacifist. After the loss of Onu, Ank'a was forced to raise their children on his own. Ank'a's cruel death was a point of contention for Onuma and the Wood Wailers of Gridania early on in their life on Eorzea, causing her to have aggression toward them and resentment to the poachers they hunted. She firmly believes he was in the wrong place and at the wrong time. Onuma looks on him fondly and talks about him plenty, though it's clear she misses him. It is through him that she will continue to care for his plantations and protect the home they made for themselves. ●❤Jhi Ahntifi - (Deceased) - Onuma's baby sister, whom she had the responsibility of caring for when their mother was taken from them. Jhi had a strong attachment to Onuma, and was afraid of seeing her go anywhere without her being in her sights. It was this familial love that often made others question whether Onuma was her mother or sister, but Onuma would proudly claim that she'd act as both. Like their father, Jhi's death had a direct influence in how she perceived many of the Gridanians and the poachers they vehemently despised. Jhi was an unfortunate victim, caught in the crossfires. ●❤Lotan'to Jiub - (Deceased) While the pain is beginning to lessen, Onuma keeps Lotan'to's memory fresh in her mind. His face in portraits, his weapon, the keepsake he gave her -- all of them serve to remind her of who he was, and the freedom he sought out. Those little pieces of him keep her marching. ●❤Y'lyfriel Sikah (Deceased) - It was scarcely a time that Onuma got to see her sister (fondly thought of as baby sis) back on the field and it was just as quick that she was taken from her. Like Lotan'to and X'linwh, Lyfriel's grisly death cut into Onuma like a burning knife, opening up new wounds and festering old ones. Devastation and anguish has been left in the wake of her passing, and much like dealing with the loss of her own sister by blood, Onuma feels all the more alone without her. ●X'linwh Tia - (Deceased) These days, Lin is never far from Onuma's mind. She keeps his memory close to her heart and it serves as a reminder of the past, and how to move forward without sullying him. She has vowed to avenge him, should they find the dragon that ended his life.
